Once we watched the wedding film Ryan had created for a close friend, our decision became quite simple. We had to hire Ryan Southwell Films for our wedding and we could not be more pleased with our decision.
Ryan was able to beautifully capture one of the most special days of our lives. His artistic vision and attention to detail are truly unparalleled. We are so grateful we are able to relive our wedding day with close family and friends for years to come.

I find it astonishing that I would be the first to rave about Ryan Southwell Films! It would be totally selfish of me if I didn’t share the awesomeness of having Ryan as our wedding cinematographer! I must say it crossed my mind… but I couldn’t do that to Ryan, he’s such a genuine and wonderful person. He has a great heart and eye and you can see that shine through his films.
I thank my lucky stars that I STUMBLED upon his blog when trying to find someone to film our wedding. There was NO DOUBT in my mind that we HAD to have Ryan at our wedding. Thank goodness my husband, Jason, locked Ryan down! I knew that we wanted to document the day but we also wanted someone that was able to showcase our personality and the wonder of the day. You can totally see that in the teaser he shot. He captured all our silliness from the human «roller coaster» to the way we like to «rock» out! Ryan said it would be in total contrast to full length film. But Jason and I love it so much that we watch it almost daily! (Oh heck we may as well put it on loop… I’m not saying we don’t!) The editing is incredible!
Ryan made it his mission to be at every moment of our wedding. He drove up from Southern California the day before our wedding to scope out our venue in San Martin. The following rainy morning he did some shooting on location in San Francisco before I even made it to my hair and makeup appointments! OMG… who is this guy?! We very quickly found out Ryan is the most passionate and talented cinematographer we could have asked for. Two days after our wedding he surprised us with a 44 second teaser! I must say it was a tease indeed. Soon after it went viral on our facebook and our friends’ facebook and I had people asking about Ryan. Not to mention my friends Gina and Michael are wondering where Ryan was when they got wed! But they have happily passed along Ryan’s information to their friends too! I can’t thank Ryan enough and cannot wait for the full length film! We are so excited!!! If you visit his blog you’ll get a glimpse of what I’m on about!

I hired Ryan and his team as the videographers at my wedding and it was by far the best decision I could have made when it came to planning my wedding. The package I purchased also included an engagement session that I would highly recommend. Not only did the final product prove to be something I will forever cherish, planning a wedding can be stressful and filming the shoot allowed me and my fiancé to really reconnect and have fun. Ryan was extremely professional but also very laid back and instantly made us feel comfortable. I played the engagement video at my bridal shower and there wasn’t one dry eye in the room. He is truly a genius at cinema and in my strong opinion the best in the business. The day of my wedding he was on it! He showed up on time, made additional, over the top adjustments to satisfy my requests, made my entire wedding party and guests feel comfortable and made my entire event more enjoyable by being part of it. Throughout my wedding I would look over and see him and his staff catching everything on film and it would greatly ease my mind knowing I was in such good hands.
Hands down — I would recommend Ryan Southwell to everyone and anyone I know looking for his services. You will be more than satisfied and when you have events in your life that are so important and the videography, photos and memories are all you can take with you, you don’t want to comprise. Not to mention, he is reasonably priced and worth every penny! Thanks Ryan and team! All of my friends have already said they will be booking his services when they tie the knot so hopefully I’ll see you all again soon!
