History

Established in 2009.

We are a locally owned and operated business. In the heart of the Great Recession when many dealers closed their doors, we opened ours. We opened our dealership in the center of the county along Hwy 52 with a huge selection covering over 5 acres, offering the best-​selling new lines in America (Airstream, Georgetown, Sunseeker, Wildwood, Stealth Attitude, Raptor, Road Warrior, Nomad, Berkshire, Springdale, Lance, ACE, Lexington, and Solera) along with used trade-​ins, bank repos, and consignments, all at prices that fit the «new» economy.

I’m originally from Tucson, AZ, and I graduated from the University of Arizona. After working in the financial services industry, I relocated to San Diego in 1998 for a position with Beaudry RV as a Finance Manager. From there, I moved to 10,000 RV Sales as a Sales Manager, and worked my way up to the eventual position of Vice President. Then, in early 2009, Tom Fetter approached me to help him create RV Solutions, where I have been ever since. I live in San Diego with my wife April, 4 dogs, and 3 parrots (yes — it’s practically a zoo at home.)

Tom Fetter, owner of RV Solutions, is a San Diego native, who has been deeply involved in our local community all his life. He was a trustee of the San Diego Zoo for over 20 years, as well as being involved in the San Diego Historical Society, and various other philanthropic organizations. His other company, San Diego Car Care, owns and operates a variety of automotive-​related businesses throughout the county.

These guys suck. I came in on Saturday to find out if they could troubleshoot my brake controller. The guy at the desk said to come back Monday and they can check it out. I went back Monday and they told me they are too busy. There is an hour of my life I won’t get back

I bought a 2016 forest river trailer in temecula, however, there were some warranty work that needs to be done. I took it to RV solution to get it fixed. It took 2 months to complete the work. When I got it home I noticed a long scratch in the bedroom wall 3 or 4 feet long. I called the dealer about the scratch and they didn’t do anything. It wasn’t very noticeable so I let it go.
2nd time I went back to get my couch replaced they cracked the plastic ceiling in the slide out. I called three times and they won’t return my calls. I will be emailing the general manager about this and possibly file a complaint with BBB. If you need warranty work, look somewhere else.

RV Solutions will not return my phone calls or emails and every manager is magically out of the office when I walk in. Over 2 years ago my toy hauler was brought into them for warranty work after my husband was killed. I had major surgery so the trailer was the last of my worries and 6 months later I called them thinking by now my trailer should have been fixed and they LOST it in their lot. The person responsible for my work order was let go was their excuse. Warranty company was billed for items that were not completed. That’s fraud isn’t it? Damage was done while in their care. I still need several things fixed and it’s been 7 months since the last email contact. I’ve filed a complaint with the BBB. I’ve given them over 2 years to handle this properly but they are banking on the handicap widowed parent to be too distracted to stay on top of it. Now I have time to focus on a resolution! Shame on RV Solutions. Slick on the sales floor but does not carry through in service. Beware!

Recently purchased a consignment vehicle at rv solutions. The sales staff were what I expect from most sales people, pressure, nothing new there. The van itself is great and am glad I bought it. I feel It would have been better to buy from the owner if I could as it would have been more straightforward. The van needed new tires, no issue there except I later found out while signing the papers they charged me and the seller for the tires. The dealer gave me a list of things they fixed as well as a written promise to fix some gas struts on a pop up and also told me they had to charge the battery during the inspection but it was «ok». The next week the battery needed replacement after the van died on me several times. I called them and asked to have the battery replaced which they did not. They also stated they could not «find» the correct replacement struts for me and just left it at that. The van had some specific electrical modifications regarding the solar panels which have been an issue but because its a consignment I do not expect their service crew to know all the details of what was changed so I have had that fixed on my own. There is inherent risk in buying a used vehicle especially from private party and the fact that this dealer promised to replace parts and did not deliver and sold the vehicle with safety issues even after charging their $ 600 inspection fee I would never buy anything again and wouldn’t recommend rv solutions. This renewed a valuable lesson I must have forgotten, no matter how friendly a place seems, especially when it comes to sales don’t drive off the lot without everything being done or fixed that needs to be.

I used to consign/​sell my Super C RV. I got a fair price from them and they were able to provide a place to show it, offer financing etc. It sold in a reasonable amount of time. I was happy overall. They have a nice selection of cherry used and many new product lines. Go see them!

These guys are a lifesaver! We needed a part to repair our water heater. We have no hot water. It is Labor Day weekend, Saturday, 4:30! Looks like all the RV parts houses are closed or closed at 2. Found RV Solutions, Inc. close by, bought our part from the friendliest 2 guys and NOW we have hot water! Thank you, thank you!

My experience with the service dept started out rough. After some phone calls the manager intervened and made things happen it seems. Got my 5th wheel back in time and all repairs fixed right! Other than the rough start and not having the service dept open on the weekends, I think the overall experience wasn’t too bad.

tonight I went by to pick up a few parts to repair my coach. Traffic sucked and I was late — they were closed. Nobody around to sell me anything. I saw a person show up as I was driving out and key into the parts dept. I turned around and asked nicely if he would sell me a part. He was very helpful and discussed the proper way to do the work. Didn’t have to even talk to me as they were closed, but the parts manager John Pasillas was super helpful. I can’t thank him enough — go hawks!

Eureka! I found the used Sportsmobile of my dreams at RV Solutions!
My salesperson, Martin, was calm and reassuring when I had pre-​sale jitters since I had to fly in to see the RV. He also sent me many photos. Jesus, from the service department, gave me an efficient demo of the systems. The RV was throughly cleaned and shiny.
To show you what a responsible business they run, when the check engine light came on during my drive home, RV Solutions paid for the needed repair with no quibbling.

The worst service I have ever
takes them weeks to do a few repairs, all the time trying to sell you thing you don’t need. I had to use them because they are the only authorized eclipse dealer for first year warranty work. could site many problems with the manager, but to make a long story short do not use these people.

Best all round RV Dealership in town. We purchased our RV in Virginia. After six months of trying to find a good service center in the San Diego area, we finally discovered RV Solutions. Their scheduling availability and quality of service was head and shoulders above all of the other RV centers in the region, including San Diego North County. Because of their excellent service and highly professional staff, that’s where we went when we decided to upgrade from a Class C to a Class A motor home. It was a real pleasure doing business with their friendly staff. We walked away very satisfied with our new motor home. Follow up warrantee service has been superb. Our service manager, John Moser, is always available to go the extra mile to ensure our needs are met in a timely manner and that we are completely satisfied. We would never take our RV needs anywhere else. Thank you RV Solutions for being the complete professional dealership that you are!

We are looking at buying a 2015 International Airstream. Was attempting to use INTERNET CHAT to find out what the maximum length of their loans are. Never got an answer so won’t even bother going to lot to look at their inventory! Will drive to Los Angeles Airstream where Im sure I will find answers to ALL of my questions.

I had a run in with some bad pricing and quotes for what I ended up actually getting and what I paid for. I wish the problem could have been solved on the scene for the mistakes but, I received a call from the service manager about the incident and she made everything better and apologized and told me that is not how they do business and would like for me to give them another shot. I think I will now just because of the phone call.

Got a used RV from here. Sales person was very helpful gave us true answers. While we were taking a test drive we contacted a friend who has spent all his working on and racing cars. He was able to ask the sales person questions and confirmed every thing we were told.
After sales service was great. After we had the RV a few days we found something that needed fixing. I pulled in the service bay and asked for help we were going to Bishop the next day (which they knew) I did not have an appointment. The moved some service folks around and took care of my problem.
This is my 10th RV Of various size and shape. I think RV Solutions is good place to find what you want in a RV.

Thanks Rv Solutions for ruining my camping trip this weekend. Took my Airstream in for a recall on Tuesday, was told it would be a 1 day job. Ok, great, I tell them i’ll be back this week to get it, friday rolls around and i’m expecting to pick it up. I call to make sure it’s ready and am told that the repairs haven’t been approved yet. What? Repairs were pre-​approved because it was a recall. When I asked why nobody called so i could make inquiries, i was simply told «sorry, can’t help you, come get your trailer if you’d like.» Spoke with the service manager and was told, «We will have it done by monday, sorry for the inconvenience.» No problem, i’m only out a couple hundred bucks. BELIEVE THE REVIEWS AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Purchased a new Thor ACE 30.1. Brought it home and both couch batteries bad with dry cells. Live a couple hours away so I replaced the batteries. RV Solutions told me it was Thors problem, Thor said it was a dealer problem. After several weeks going back and forth, RV Solutions said they would not reimburse me. I had solar installed and when I picked up the couch I noticed it was plugged in. I thought this odd because the solar would keep the batteries topped off. I am convinced someone figured out the batteries were dead before I picked it thus being the reason they plugged it in. It is obvious, RV Solutions did not maintain the batteries in the 6 months it sat on their lot. If they had there would not have been dry cells in both batteries. As soon as I left the lot, I noticed the dash AC not working. Took it to a local dealer to be fixed, won’t set foot back on their lot. For the small price of $ 220 they could have had a very happy customer. Not happy at all.
