I am writing this review due to my recent experience as a customer of RSI. I am a Community Manager of a 6-​building residential property with many responsibilities. As such, I did not have an abundance of time to locate a roofing maintenance contractor, monitor the assessment, chase anyone for a bid, chase anyone to schedule the appointment, or personally supervise work. RSI made the entire process thorough and easy. They provided a bid with photos of each item and a full breakdown of cost for each maintenance item. Despite the recent increase in roofing maintenance calls due to the El Nino storm, they were able to keep me posted regarding any changes in scheduling without my asking and they informed me of the job date as well as sent a follow up post job completion to ensure my full satisfaction. When I mentioned a minor concern with some wiring that was not properly secured after their visit, which was purely an aesthetic concern, they promptly sent a technician to ensure the wiring was placed back on the roof and out of sight.
Their customer service, follow up, and self directed service was incredible. I will be using RSI for any future roofing maintenance needs.

We used RSI in the past to re-​roof an apartment building we owned and their service, work and professionalism was outstanding. So when we recently purchased another property whose roof I wasn’t completely sure about I of course called David Cohen of the RSI residential section. David took the time out of his admitted busy schedule to go by the property and inspect the roof. He admitted he would love to sell me a new roof but now was not the time for that. I appreciated his honesty and the friendly contact we had. Rest assured when the time comes for any roof work I will be calling RSI.

When it came to replacing the entire roof at our shopping center, we chose RSI because of the previous experience we had with RSI in repairing multiple leaks in the past. From the first meeting I had with David our estimator to the last meeting I had with Frank after the job was completed, every interaction that I had with the RSI crew were outstanding. This roof replacement job was very complex with 4 different subcontractors working on various parts and RSI was very cooperative and helpful in making sure that all of the parties were working together. I highly recommend RSI Roofing both in terms of the quality of their workmanship as well the responsiveness of their management team.

RSI Roofing has serviced and maintain our roofing needs. It has been my experience that they have been quick to respond, very professional, courteous and nice even LOL! That really helps. We manage a resort, Mediterranean in design and style, Apartment Home Community steps away from Carlsbad Beach and Boardwalk. Our clientele enjoy the highest level of customer service and Community care. RSI has seamlessly kept the rains from causing damage and unrest in our Community even when those unexpected challenges arrise. Needless to say that is not an easy job. Their professional attributes from appointment setting to clean up when the job is done leaves all parties concerned breathing a sigh of relief. The RSI Team has saved us once again. I work in Association Management and came across RSI roofing at a CMCA Tradeshow. I have used them on a number of projects through the HOA’s I manage. I have never been disappointed in their work. They are responsive, efficient and a pleasure to work with, from the office staff to the workers in the field. It is my job to obtain competitive bids and I’ve found that RSI is always reasonable, which is why I did work with them in the first place. Reliable and cost effective — I will always include RSI in my bidding process.

I called RSI to get a minor roof repair for a plumbing vent boot on a 3-​storey house. The receptionist took down my details and said that an estimator would call me back in a couple hours. I didn’t get a call back, so the next day I had to call back multiple times before I finally spoke to the estimator.
The estimator managed to fit me into his schedule the next day which was great. When he arrived he seemed knowledgeable and experienced, but he didn’t have a long enough ladder to get up 3 storeys (e.g. 40 ft), so he couldn’t assess the work required. Oh-​oh — that’s a bad sign.
Instead he called back to the office and asked them how much it would cost for the RSI maintenance division to come out and do the work.
The cost came back at $ 750 !! Wow — Are you kidding me. It would probably take less than an hour to fix the leak and look over the roof for any other leaks. Heck I could buy a 40ft ladder for that price and do it myself ! I asked the estimator why so much and he said «Oh, I thought you wanted us to look over your neighbor’s roof as well». So I then asked him how much for just my roof and he said $ 650. Still a ridiculous amount.
He then said that if he had a tall enough ladder he might have been able to fix the problem right then and there — arrghh !
I said I would think about the quote and get back to him.
RSI may be fine for large condominiums and larger projects but small customers beware. Always get multiple quotes.

I have worked for RSI Roofing for 14 years. If you want a roofing company that is looking out for your best interest and not just theirs you have the right company. David Susi the owner treats every one like family. Most employees are lifers and that says a lot about the company.

RSI is my go to roofing company. I manage the property at a large church in Pacific Beach that seems to always be in need of roof repairs, and RSI is always good about sending out an estimator promptly who is excellent at showing me where the damage is and what can be done to fix it. I have gone through the process of getting competitive bids on a number of larger projects and RSI is always competitively low, but their workers are clean, professional, polite and prompt, so I will go with them on any project that comes along.

As Facilities Manager of The New Children’s Museum we recently hired RSI to repair areas of our rooftop. Jess, the project manager as well as the rest of the crew is very responsive and accommodating. They came in as the lowest bid compared to the other 4 bids I received. The team that came in very safety oriented which I greatly appreciate. The work was done systematically and was finished on time for my busy season.

I am a member of my condo community’s HOA, and we needed room maintenance given the age of our roof. Out of 3 proposals obtained, RSI’s was the only one that included detailed photos and an *exact* description of what work was to be done. The price quoted was better than the others, and working with RSI was a pleasure. The work was performed in the time allotted, and I will continue to use RSI’s services for my community’s roof maintenance needs.

I’m on the board of directors for my HOA and I wanted to write about the great experience that we had with RSI Roofing. We had some long standing issues with our roofs, and called RSI after receiving a great recommendation. I’m so glad that we found them! They came in, gave us an assessment of our roofs, then prepared a very professional proposal and presentation at our board meeting. When we decided to move forward with RSI, the communication was great and the crews were very friendly and approachable. The job went as planned. I definitely recommend RSI Roofing for any size project. Ours was a multi building project, and they handled it with professionalism and expertise.

We recently had RSI do our entire condo complex (5 buildings worth of roofs) where our property manager asked for bids to clean and maintain our roofs. We approved one expensive cleaning and repair proposal (RSI wasn’t the cheapest) followed by a second less expensive proposal to fix other work that was not discovered during the original proposal. Unfortunately RSI left tree debris on our roofs the second time around and when final inspection was done and they were called on it with pictures, they did not send someone back to clean up and leave the site presentable. They did not bother to tells us the roofs needed a re-​clean and when called on to do so came back with a very expensive bid. While the repair work looked ok, RSI didn’t treat us right and we likely won’t be doing business with them again.
Make sure you don’t trust this company do help you actually maintain your roofs. While they’re very good a honoring their contract letter of the law and making money as a business when it comes to proactively helping clean and maintain the roofs as originally requested leaving the place tidy for an inspection (flat surfaces of the roofs included) well that plain didn’t happen and to come back with a huge bid to sweep up tree debris as a response to sending them a picture of the piles of pine needles they left right after they were there, well that’s not so great either, in my personal opinion. I stand firmly behind my assessment and review and see no good faith in this company at all, i’m sad to report. I’m glad we have an outlet to voice our concerns, there are options out there folks, shop around!!!

I somewhat agree with the previous review. The person who schedules the appointments is not good at their job and there fore RSI gets ⁴⁄₅ stars. After not hearing from them for a week, I had to call back to see if they still wanted the work after I agreed on their quote.
My estimator Sam and the crew who completed the work were excellent — 5 stars! Sam gave a detailed report of the problems in my roof with photographic evidence.
The first company I called out to look at my roof didn’t even climb up! The guy just walked me out and waved his arm in a general area of my roof and quoted some crazy number!
I got a fair quote, and great quality of work. My roof is good as new! I would definitely call them again for any other work.
