History

Established in 2007.

This ministry exist to help cancer patients and caregivers cope with the devastating affects that a cancer diagnosis can cause to one’s life while also helping those affected not to fear cancer. Approximately 15,000 people are diagnosed with cancer in San Diego each year. Those who have the gifts of being a server, exhorter and have a heart of compassion toward others who are suffering mentally and physically from cancer, we ask that you join us in providing encouragement, education, resources, prayer and hope in the sovereign plan of God.

In October of 2005 I was the mother of a 5yr old daughter and I was pregnant with my now 3 year old daughter. One morning I woke up with a grapefruit size tumor on my sternum that protruded out from my chest in the shape of a large hard hump. During my entire pregnancy I had Multiple Myeloma Leukemia. (Cancer) I asked the Oncologist «Can I die from this disease»? He said” yes”. I have since been HEALED! During this difficult season, there were many people who planted seed into my life by showing me the loveof Jesus, by taking care of my children while I was sick, delivering dinner to my family, and by providing a nanny and a housekeeperwhen I was too sick to care for my husband and my children. Out of the seed sown by my friends and family has grown the Rock Cancer C.A.R.E. Ministry and we are here to be compassionate and to help people have hope in Jesus while also helping them meet the basic needs of life while they are fighting cancer.
