RJ’s Preschool Academy

I have had a great experience with this school. All the teachers have been great and my son comes home sharing all sorts of things he has learned at this school. They are affordable as well. They also have a soccor company that they use and the coach comces and picks up my child and walks him over to the next door grass area to play. It’s great!!!

We had our two kids here and we loved this preschool. Our 3 year old daughter would constantly surprise us with things she learned at «school». They helped my daughter with potty training, her alphabet (using zoo phonics), numbers, the calendar, the weather, and word recognition. They have themed weeks like western, oceans, winter, transportation, etc. In the summer time the kids get to have outdoor water play. They also played soccer in the big field. They provide lunch and snacks. They sing songs and use music to teach — there’s a clean up song, a song to line up, etc. They do art everyday, even the infants. The have chapel once week. They have events like donuts with daddy for father’s day, muffins with mommy, and even a Christmas show. The teachers are AWESOME. My kids loved miss Melinda, miss Krystal, miss Alicia, miss Amanda, miss Jessica, miss Erin, miss Tracy, miss Heather, miss Aniza, miss Deborah, miss Elizabeth, and miss Johnna. I’ve read that preschools can have lots of employee turnover but this one doesn’t. Our kids were always excited to go to school we will miss this preschool. The only reason we left is because we moved to a different city.

This place, along with its professional, energetic, compassionate Staff, is nothing short of AMAZING. Our son has been at RJ’s for nearly two years and has thrived. He constantly references things he has learned and friends he has made here. He has enormous love for all of his teachers and, honestly, I do too as they have consistently provided a loving, structured environment which fosters learning, growth and confidence.

Great school & I highly recommend it, my only regret is that I did not enroll my son prior to his 2^nd birthday. The staff is very caring and professional, the environment is highly structured.

Great place, Madison has been coming here for almost a year now. She’s 2 years old and is potty trained, knows her abc’s, and can count up to 20. She is full of surprises, Ms. Heather and Ms. Linda are her 2 teachers, she loves them. This pre-​school is AWESOME no kidding. The cost is not that pricey, it’s actually within my budget :) Highly recommended if you live in San Diego :)

We could not be happier with RJ’s! Our daughter started when she was 2 and the transition was very easy. Her teacher Mrs. Heather is awesome! All the teachers are very attentive. The facility is extremely secure. There are security cameras, and many doors that you have to walk thru to get to the classrooms, and there is always staff around. They feed them breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack, also included in the tuition which is VERY reasonable. Its a tad bit more if you child is not potty trained but not much. Their daily schedule is full of outdoor play, art projects, music and dance and of course a daily nap on their own cot. I would recommend RJ’s to any parent!

My daughter began attending RJ’s the day it opened. She is 2 ½ years old and enjoys going to school every day and even asks me on weekends to go to Preschool. She talks about her teachers regularly at home as well as her friends at school. The teachers are all caring and friendly. The Director keeps parents informed on what their children are doing and maintains a safe environment for the children.
My daughter has grown and learned more than I could have imagined in four months of attending RJ’s Preschool. The things she has learned are far above her age level and she continues to learn each day. I am continually impressed with the knowledge she comes home with each day and can only thank RJ’s for what they have done for my daughter.
I initially found RJ’s Preschool Academy online and went to visit the site. I immediately felt the warmth and passion from the Director as well as the quality of the facilities. The environment is safe and nurturing and I feel like my daughter is well cared for and educated and would highly recommend RJ’s for anyone looking for a quality preschool for their child.

In November my husband and I enrolled our two son’s in RJ’s Preschool. Our boys are 21 months and almost 4. Both my children are so happy at this school. The teachers are supportive and quite knowledgeable.
The curriculum is challenging for our 4 year old. He is learning kindergarten math and writing. They are also learning the sounds of all the alphabet letters and have special projects we do at home to support what they are learning in class.
Our youngest son does awesome art projects, is learning his shapes and knows most of his colors. He is potty-​trained and they are more than happy and able to give him the extra support he needs as he masters it. He loves having his own friends that are his age that he is learning from and playing with.
They will be prepared for kindergarten when its is time for them to enter. We are so happy that our boys are in a caring and challenging environment.
The school also offers a wonderful menu of freshly made food including fresh fruits that is included with all enrollments.
We are also excited to have extra-​curricular options for them. The Kroc Center offers dance, gymnastics, swimming, karate, etc that the kids can enroll in. No need to drive somewhere else. Everything is on the same site. So convenient for busy working families… We are very happy but most importantly our children are happy. We would highly recommend RJ’s Preschool.

We enrolled our daughter into RJ’s about two weeks after her second birthday. This is the first thing that’s nice about this school, they will take kids two-​years old into their school and they don’t have to be potty trained! You have to pay a little extra, but they will still be accepted. Our daughter was previously in a home daycare environment until enrolling in RJs and after a week in school we can already see a big difference in the amount of words she has added to her vocabulary and her overall demeanor, even her eating and sleeping habits have improved! We believe her increased improvements are due to the structure of the instructional program and the leadership she gets from all her teachers at RJ’s.
The school offers weekly religion class (it’s the Salvation Army so it’s a Christian school), weekly library trips and access to the entire Kroc Center complex including the gymnasium, pool, ice skating rink, rock climbing wall, etc. A youth membership is included with tuition as well as breakfast, lunch and snacks not the mention the tuition itself is very reasonable.
Another nice thing about RJ’s is that it’s brand new, it just opened in September 2011 and the Kroc Center itself was opened less then 10 years ago so everything is new and well-​kept. There are video cameras throughout the property including in the school as well as 24 hour security guards which put our minds at ease as it’s not in the best neighborhood in the world. Overall, we are very happy with RJ’s and anticipate our daughter being there until she is ready for Kindergarten!

I enrolled my daughter at almost 2 ½ years old after being in a home daycare environment for the past year. RJs was just what we needed! Yes, she was learning at her previous daycare but in addition to learning, RJs provides her with structure and social skills that are so important at this young age. She loves her teacher, Miss Tracy, and even talks about her at home! Now, when we ask her to clean up her toys she joyfully does so while singing a «cleanup song» that I can only guess that she learned at school. Her days are definitely filled with activities and when bedtime comes, she is READY and sleeps peacefully through the night.
Being part of the Salvation Army, this is a Christian based school so the kids go to chapel each week. They also have weekly story time in the library and they do lots of art projects. There is an outdoor play area for daily physical play. Plenty of toys and books and the facility is modern, secure and always clean. Meals are included too.
After touring several schools that charge twice as much as RJs, this was by far the best choice for our family. I anticipate us being here until she’s ready for school!
