Mark Richmond has his original art on display, along with prints, shoes, shirts, skateboard decks and more, all custom, all original. If you like tribal styles, Japanese styles, and Wild Animals, this is the place you can see this all in Mark Richmond aka Skidone’s vision.

History

Established in 2009.

Since the day the guys at Coffee & Art opened, I immediately came over to check the place out, I shared some ideas, even 4 of my bar tables I had sitting in my studio (long story). Ever since then we have been buds and collaborate on how to benefit each others business. They have the best coffee bar in town, and I have some of the best art in town, so why not team up?

Business Owner

Mark Richmond is the owner of the Gallery, not the café, although he acts like it… =)

— Artist for over 20 years, full time artist for over 5 years

— Art can be seen all over San Diego, Long Beach, and LA, places of note: San Diego International Airport Terminal One, Harney Sushi, Jwok, Iron Wok, Suba in Long Beach and Coffee & Art SD.

His work is mainly influenced by ancient Japanese Woodblock Art, earthy tribal /​urban /​hip-​hop pieces, and endagered species. Done in Acrylic on canvas or wood, also some hand drawn and digitally colored, then hand painted prints are created in limited edition.
