Belsky and Szajowitz Chiropractic Corporation has been specializing in sports injuries since 1995 in the San Diego-​Carmel Valley — Del Mar area. Over the years we have obtained extensive training in the field of sports injuries and chiropractic care. We ensure that our patients get the very best of care when it comes to diagnosis and developing treatment plans. When necessary, we refer patients to the proper medical specialists. We utilize chiropractic in conjunction with stretching & exercise to facilitate healing. This approach provides care that helps speed the recovery and prevents recurrences.

History

Established in 1995.

Dr. Belsky began practicing chiropractic in 1993 in Los Angeles where he initially became interested in sports injuries. He moved to Del Mar in 1995 and opened Del Mar Chiropractic Sports Group. There he began to treat injured surfers and other athletes. In 2001 he was brought on as one of the chiropractors for the San Diego Chargers. He helped the team until 2007. Currently, he works with many athletes in a variety of sports and activities as well as club and school teams.

Dr. B is awesome! I was having bad back and neck pain that comes with having a baby at home, and found Dr. B on Unilocal.I’ve always had a fear of chiropractors, something about cracking and popping of my neck and back really freaks me out. I was so relieved when they were able to use stretching techniques, ultrasound and even a rolling massage table thingy to get my back and neck back to normal!
They also let you add on a 30 min massage with their masseuse after your session for only $ 25, which was a nice plus.
Also, they took my insurance, so all of my visits were covered at 100%!
I will definitely go back to Dr. B if I’m in need of chiropractic services again.

I have a fear of chiropractors – something about the neck twisting abruptly and not knowing the outcome. That being said, Dr. Belsky is unlike any chiropractor I’ve been to. He is really interested in the well-​being of his patients and he explains what he’s doing every step of the way. He is able to work out whatever issue I’ve got going on with my back/​neck and and he even checked up after to make sure things are all good. Dr. B is awesome and I recommend him if you are looking for a trustworthy and reliable chiropractor.

Went there for a massage… possibly the best massage I’ve ever had! Deep tissue, really got into the areas that need it. And they took my insurance info to see if I can get future massages covered. I think I will go back even if they can’t!

Rich is very professional and friendly. He knows what he’s doing. His office staff are also very friendly and professional. I started going in for neck, shoulder and back issues and always feel much better afterward. Melody is the best masseuse there as well.

Dr. B and his office are great. He is thorough, has a great bed side manner, really listens to your problems and resolves your issues. He focuses on muscle repair and rehabilitation and dispels all myths about chiropractors just be back crackers.
His 2 massage therapists, Lori and Melody are fantastic and know how to really work injured and fatigued muscles. This is not a day spa massage.
The front office staff are always great with booking appointments and dealing with insurance.

Dr B is amazing! I have been seeing him for years with various sports injuries and strains. He always works me out using the latest in healing technologies along with do at home treatments. He gets all the details before starting treatments making sure he knows the exact location of the pain. He tracks progress and gives you an estimate as to how long it will take to recover. On top of all that, he is the nicest guy you’ll ever meet! I highly recommend!!!

I just cannot believe that there is a better chiropractor out there than Dr. B!
He takes the time to listen to his patients, he documents everything (which helps when you are trying to find patterns) and his treatments work! I used to suffer from neck pain from sitting at a computer all day, and I am pain free :)
His office is super clean and modern as is the equipment. The staff is very helpful, and his partner (Dr. Saby) is hilarious (I hear Saby is also very good!). I love the happy vibe of the office. And Dr. B is a super nice guy.
Dr. B has earned all of these 5 star reviews. He is simply amazing and I am so lucky that I was referred to him!

I highly recommend Dr. Belsky for anyone who has a history of neck/​back pain or repetitive stress or sports-​related injuries. His experience, wealth of knowledge, and bedside manner combine to embody what we all hope for across the health care landscape but rarely get … excellence in medicine AND humanity.
Dr. Belsky approaches his patients as whole people (not just a knee or a column of vertebrae). And, this approach is what guides him to ask those great questions, listen, observe, and put it all together with the science to assess the patient and formulate a course of treatment that does not begin and end in his office. He’s interested in making you healthy again … and then keeping you that way. He does an especially good job of patient education.

Yes! Dr. B is great! He treats his patients with respect, kindness, and an understanding of waht they are going through. His goal is NOT «how many visits?» but what it will take to make you better!
He worked with me to understand my problem and what I could do to help. How to sit, what stretches, what muscle-​strengthening exercies I could do to not have to come back to see him and to FEEL BETTER!!!
It is hard for me to verbalize how much of a difference Dr. B has made for me. My life is so differnt with the change in how I feel. I had a serious condidtion and he was there every step of the way until I felt better!
I have recommended Dr. B and have gotten a great response.

I thought back pain was something I just had to live with, take some Advil, get over it. I had never been to a chiropractor and had heard lots of scary stories of how they made things worse, not better. After hearing really positive feedback from a bunch of co-​workers, I met with Dr. B. and now I would recommend him to anyone. I am now pain-​free, and just go in every few months when my back or shoulders feel tight. Dr. B. has many different treatments and all of them are gentle and effective. He also manages, despite his busy practice, to take the time to really listen to and interact with his clients. On top of that, he has a great team of massage therapists, all of them are great, I would especially recommend Melody. She understands the value of silence, so you can just relax into the massage without chatting. She also works on the hands, which, if you, like me, work on a computer all day, is really helpful. Also, his staff is very responsive and works to get you in at the last minute if you need it.

I really wanted to like Dr. Belsky… And I did! :)
I saw him once last year after a week of debilitating shoulder pain. I’ve had problems with my shoulder before but have always been able to stretch the pain out. This time was different though. I applied heat, cold, creams, had my hubby rub the area, but nothing helped. The pain got so bad it spread to the back of my neck and I was barely able to lift my arm. My husband booked an emergency appointment with Dr. B. He was booked with appointments but still agreed to see me.
He treated my shoulder with a massage and some kind of gel therapy. He also showed me different stretches I could do at home. By the end of the visit, the pain was gone. I went back a week later for a follow up and was happy to report no problems since my first visit.
In fact, it’s been almost a year since my visit to Dr. B’s and I haven’t had pain in my shoulder since. I believe it’s due in part to the stretches he showed me. I’m extremely happy with the services I received here and would recommend Sports Group to anyone!

This office is just great! Like most people, I have neck pain. Dr. Belsky doesn’t crack my neck. I’ve started hearing bad things about neck cracking and wasn’t specifically looking for a chiropractor who didn’t «crack» but I like this better. I get a ½ hr massage with my session. Cathi is just awesome, she truly does therapeutic work. The office staff are all very friendly! Did I also mention that they treat a lot of Charger players? That’s just an added bonus!
