The Rep Veronica from Chula Vista has VERY bad attitude!!!
I had question about the payments, instead let me finish my question, she just jump to the conclusion maybe by looking at the notes from her end, but that was NOT what I tried to ask. when i tried to explain my question again, she used very mean tone of voice said «I DONT UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU SAY!» literally yelling at me! I hope she just had a stressful day at that moment, and not treat everyone like that. I am a customer, I don’t deserve service like that.

Their representatives assured me yesterday that our recycling would be picked up yesterday. It wasn’t, so I called today. They assured me it would be picked up today, and I asked if they’d say the same thing tomorrow. Well, they probably will, because the recycling hasn’t been picked up. It’s overflowing into the alley. Meanwhile, their online folks emailed me that my customer service issue had been resolved. Don’t believe a word these liars say.

I work as an HOA manager for a local management company and for the past year we have been trying to give ALL our accounts to Republic Services because of their stellar efforts and customer service. (Waste Management was the WORST and they prompted this change significantly…) I deal with Tammy Barba, primarily, and she is fantastic! So attentive to what each property needs and quick to respond, even when she’s out and about all day… She meets me on site when I need her and always addresses issues quickly with sit down meetings in our office.
I have to say I am very surprised by the lack of positive reviews, because I have had nothing but positive experiences with Republic Services. Their responsiveness and quickness to assert issues is important to us having to deal with third parties, so WE greatly appreciate this business relationship. We hope to be dealing with only Tammy in the near future, as we all believe it will be a huge weight off our shoulders in terms of dealing with vendors how we do on a daily basis.

If you can use a different trash/​dumpster service, please do! Only one person is able to speak to you regarding your account unless you contact a supervisor and so far no call back from him either. They are terrible at returning calls (I’ve tried contacting the person on my account since last summer). They come up with mysterious charges. I submitted my thirty day written letter of termination and its almost a month past that date, still no removal of the dumpster and nobody can give answers or return calls. This company has very very poor customer service. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone and will never use them again once they finally get the dumpster off the property. If I could give less than a 1 star rating, I would!

This company is simply garbage. They don’t pick up the recycle when they should and when you call them the lady will argue with you and then hang up on you if you ask for the supervisor. Its like why would I call in and tell you didn’t come if the bin was empty. Anyways I would not use these people if you have the option.
Why don’t you do what you are paid for and you would have no issues with people calling in.

Don’t make the same mistake I did, read the contract carefully and note the length and the auto renewal before signing it. I’m surprised they can stay in business with the contracts they have. Edco and Waste Management are at my other properties, and am very happy with both.

UPDATE
One of the supervisors came out on Tuesday and personally handled «the mess.» All is well now.

These people are useless. We have been with them for eight years, and have recently had incidents of them not picking up one or more of our bins. I called them yesterday to tell them our recycling bin was not emptied the day before, as it should have been. The woman on the phone apologized and said that another truck would be out to pick it up. As of today, the bin is still full. When I called this morning, I was informed that they will not be out until Monday, four days after the bin should have been picked up.
We got fed up and called to cancel service. Now, they are saying that they automatically renewed us annually on a contract, and they want three-​months’ service charge to cancel. Interesting that we have to pay to cancel, but they don’t fulfill the contract by picking up our bins, as agreed.
Fortunately, we found that another local company, Daily Disposal, offers the same service at 30% less.
Avoid this company like the plague. Rotten pickup service and worse customer service.
