This IS the worst trucking company… They lost my Cargo on the dock… could not find it… told me it was shipped and to expect it in an HOUR… I totally agree with Dave N. If my Vendors attempt to use them again… They will lose business. THEY SUCK

This is got to be the worst trucking company in the world, it took over one week to deliver a package that should have taken 48 hours the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing, when you call to track a package you get inaccurate information,(or lies) I would not use this company unless you wanted pissed off customers if I could do 0 stars I would

Reddaway is a large nationwide long-​distance freight company.
I had a small piece of machinery shipped from the Reno, NV area to San Diego by Reddaway. My shipment was slightly too heavy to be handled by UPS.
The good news is that Reddaway transported my item quickly and without damage.
The bad news is that the truck arrived early, before a time window that a Reddaway customer service person had given me on the phone a few hours earlier. The driver also failed to comply with my request to be called by cell phone to ensure that I would be at my home to accept delivery. As a result, I missed the shipment even though I was only a short distance away when the truck showed up at my home. The problems of living alone are legion.
I ended up going to Reddaway’s terminal on 47^th St. and picking up the item there. That isn’t far from my home, and it was an interesting experience. The terminal is new — The satellite image on Google Maps shows it at an early stage of construction. It’s next door to the large FedEx terminal and comparable in size. The facility is very clean and orderly. It can handle a lot of tractor-​trailer traffic. Employees are clean-​cut and well-​mannered, all neatly dressed in company uniforms.
Reddaway’s customer service people answer the phone promptly and are helpful. I understand that a home delivery of a very small item — Under 100 pounds — is outside the scope of what this type of company normally does, and I appreciate that they contacted the vendor to get permission for me to pick up the item in person at the terminal rather than having to take time off of work to wait for another delivery window at home. But I don’t appreciate it when someone agrees to do something (e.g. making a brief phone call) and doesn’t follow through.
It seems wise for the company to have a strong customer service team to cover for their drivers. The fee I was charged seemed reasonable. I will definitely consider Reddaway the next time I have something large to be moved.
