Reclaimed Wood San Diego is incredible! The staff is a joy to work with. The quality of wood they provide coupled with the integrity of craftsmanship is bar none. As a business owner, I continually receive compliments on my showroom and am asked how I sourced it. I am always proud to refer all of my clients to Reclaimed Wood San Diego.

The end product looks good and the installer did a very nice job. We had their wood installed on a 42″ x 72″ wall with a circular window cutout. The invoice included the wood ($ 183), milling ($ 262), sanding & sealing ($ 288) and installation ($ 750).
Installation was based on $ 120/​hour. The actual installation only took 1.5 hours (0830 – 1000) and was superb. The installer expressed to me that he was very experienced… and that was evident. However, Reclaimed Wood still wanted the full $ 750 estimate for installation. When I argued that it only took 1.5 hours, they claimed that it took «5-​hours to install» and that they would reduce the installation cost to $ 600.
Because of the price gouging for installation, I cannot recommend this company.

Yes they have amazing collection of reclaimed wood. Ordering was easy too. The sales rep was helpful too.
But getting the end product was a whole different experience. Which by the way I didn’t get.
We ordered on 15^th August for couple of floating wood shelves as a try out thinking in future we would be doing lot more. I was told that we will get the product in 3 weeks and the wood worker will give us a call to clarify on the work in case s/​he has any question.
5 weeks later, we got a call that the product is ready after following up multiple times. I went there and found it looks like a cheap piece of wood. The most interesting aged/​seasoned portion of the wood is trimmed! And now it just looks like a piece of wood from Pier1, no character.
I called/​texted/​emails multiple time, I don’t get any response.
Then eventually, I got an email saying the product is ready. To my surprise, the end shelf had different width and length than what I requested for even though it was clearly written (by the sales person from Reclaimed wood). I conveyed that my experience is very very bad. Then she retorted that it is not bad, they worked hard on this. Seriously, what is this? Kindergarten? In real world, trying wrong does not give you credit. So, I proposed them an option to start all over again and give it a priority (since I am waiting for about two months). She declined and I am done with them.

Sent an email on August 24^th requesting a quote. Got a reply the next day from a company rep who said she would have a quote for me in a week. Waited… didn’t get a response…
Followed up by email — didn’t get a response. Left a voicemail. Got an email back saying they had a 10 week lead time and would not be providing me with a quote — this was on September 14!!!
They may have nice wood… but that doesn’t do a lot of good if you can’t buy it from them.

Great place to start any project. Great selection of reclaimed wood. Very helpful staff that can help you create the right look for your project.

We stopped by on a Saturday, and were told their designers were busy, so, the lady at the he front desk took our name and information and what we would like in a design. A week and half later, no one has contacted us. I guess we aren’t the kind of customers the want to deal with. I didn’t know we had to call them back to be seen (?) Not sure I want to give them my business, now.

You won’t believe the reclaimed wood they have here!!! All sort of different sizes and color of woods. I came here to find a reclaimed wood to build a custom fireplace mantle. Found exactly what I need. Will be coming here more for sure. The knowledge that the owner has for the history of the wood.

We walked in, told them what we were looking for, he pointed the way, we picked out our stuff, we left within 10 minutes… perfectly happy with exactly the boards we needed. YAY! We will go here first for all our decorative lumber needs. Recycle! Our living room shelves look great.

Terrible customer service. The women I dealt with was very rude, its such a shame this is the only kind of store like this in san diego. will not return

I had such a great experience here! Maria and John and the guys in the yard were so helpful! My friend and I created a wood, stone and small tile work of art in my 2 story entry. Thanks to them it looks very cool! Selection was great and pricing reasonable for a DIY. Thx!

This place is super dangerous financially. My wife makes me hand over the credit card before walking in so that I’m not tempted to buy up their entire inventory.
Beautiful wood, reasonable prices, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Win.

Overall, we liked one of the finished products we got from Reclaimed Wood San Diego. Maria was very helpful and understanding.
We bought wood for a mantel from them that we installed ourselves. It came out wonderful! Looks great above our fireplace and they did a nice job milling the back so we could put it up with enough support.
As a disclaimer we had never bought pallet wood before and were unaware of the rough texture. We intended to build a pallet wall but decided against it after deciding we wanted a smoother finish. They were gracious enough to take back the pallet wood albeit for a $ 20 restocking fee which I thought was silly as it was almost half of the cost of the wood itself. There were some unfortunate miscommunications though. We had specifically asked verbally and in writing to have all the pallet wood cut to the same width so we could have the staggered look we were going for but have ease in actually placing it on the wall and not have to make too many cuts ourselves as we didn’t have the necessary tools. What was actually done was that the bigger pieces were cut to similar width, the medium width pieces cut to similar width and smaller width cut to similar width. Even though they acknowledged the miscommunication, I would have preferred them to meet me halfway on the cost of that labor. That did not happen.
I would use them again in the future with the caveat that every detail and cost should be laid out and agreed upon ahead of time by both parties. Again, overall, we were very happy with the mantel, but a little less happy with the rest.

Ive been shopping wood for a home project. I couldn’t find the old-​wood I liked any where in the Inland Empire, so I made the call and drove to SD. The price was reasonable and the owner was helpful. Thanks John

I am so happy San Diego finally has a reclaimed wood shop where I can buy beautiful pieces of wood. It’s been well over due. This saves me the Temecula trip.
Reclaimed Wood San Diego has a great selection of many types of wood. I look forward to buying more product from them.

Been looking for a store/​shop like this for years here in San Diego. As an exterior designer, my outdoor rooms sometime call out for reclaimed wood features. This place is awesome! Great customer service too.

We wanted to do a wall in our room and didn’t know where to look. We found these guys, they were professional, courteous, had a good group of wood to pick from at their lumbar yard. The wood turned out amazing, the order was done quick and we can’t be happier with our new reclaimed wood wall. Thanks to you guys.

I stopped in today to look at wood for antique style signs I make. John and the young lady at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. I’m glad to find a reclaimed lumber business in San Diego and look forward to doing business with them.

Super impressed! I needed reclaimed wood for a DIY shelving project so I called to ask about what they have. The girl who answered was really sweet and helpful. She directed me to the warehouse. When I got there I was greeted by the owner who helped me start to finish. They will cut it down and sand it for you as well. So awesome! Now I’m inspired to do more projects and will for sure be back. Thanks guys!

I stopped by yesterday to check out what they had in stock for a project in my home. The selection at Reclaimed Wood is excellent! All of the «top of the line reclaimed wood». I bought 12 white– washed wood boards for my living room/​kitchen entry to give it a «rustic» vibe. I feel satisfied knowing I didn’t make more of an impact cutting down a few more trees for the sake of my interior. I can’t wait to post pictures. We may invest in the tongue and groove flooring next!
