History

Established in 1995.

RTSD started out as an annual event called «Christmas in April,» Building on that we have joined our natioanl affiliates and transformed into a year round non-​profit agency. We still have our Annual Rebuilding Day every april, and now have the opportunity to help people in our community throughout the year.

Meet the Manager

Pamela T.

Manager

has been the executive director of Rebuilding Together San Diego since December of 2003. Under her leadership the organization expanded from a one-​day a year event in April to a multi-​faceted year round program. Over the course of her tenure, she has taken a struggling non-​profit that had only $ 3,000 in the bank to raising over $ 1.5 million in funds and assets.

It is because of her vision and passion for her work, Pamela has been able to develop community partnerships that have dramatically raised the exposure of RTSD, which in turn has provided more opportunities for the organization to increase its ability to reach out and help those less fortunate in our community.

Ms. Thorsch has a background in community relations, real estate, government and public affairs. With over twenty-​five years of experience in management, marketing, fundraising and event coordination she has received local, national and international recognition for her work.
