RD Alchemy Natural Products

1000% percent love these products! I just ordered the Vitamin C set and I absolutely love all of the products! I also have the natural deodorant, brightener serum and a few other products.
I’m hooked & I highly recommend that you try these products.

I’ve been using RD Alchemy’s facial products for years. Right now I’m hooked on the Vitamin C facial cleanser, the Moisturizing Serum and the Moisturizing Face Mask. My face never breaks out and still remains moisturized. The prices are fair. Some things are a bit pricey, but others are very reasonable. The customer service is always great! They will give you a sample of a product to try, which I love. This is my go to place for skin care!

I like to think of myself as one of RD Alchemy’s biggest fans. I don’t just shop here regularly – I evangelize. All of my female colleagues have heard about RD Alchemy and have become customers. The fact of the matter is, the products speak for themselves. I have been using the repairing moisturizer and eye cream for years, and I would never use anything else.
One thing I love about this business is that they are always innovating. It seems like every time I come in, there is a new product to try. Don’t feel shy about trying any product – very rarely will you be disappointed. In many cases they will mix samples for you if you want to test something out before buying. Everyone who works there is really lovely and helpful and they will be happy to answer any questions you have.

Love this place! I bought some sage to burn in my new apartment and loved trying the lavender lotions and essential oils! They also have huge jars full of yummy herbs and teas! Heaven!

I was looking for more natural skincare to use when my esthetician/​cousin Alina turned me on to RD Alchemy. I LOVE how helpful and knowledgeable the staff is. Also they allow you to sample the products before you purchase, which is crucial for me due to skin allergies! I currently use (and am IN LOVE with) the Nutrient Masque and the Intense Hydration Moisturizing Cream.
Definitely have me hooked for life!

I have been dealing with low back pain affecting my Left side for almost a year probably. I have had physical therapists try to help me here and there, but always had pains. After my session with Kimberley, it was the first time I could actually get up off a massage table w/​o feeling pain!!! The next day I could move (PAINFREE*) in ways that would normally cause pain in my low back! I could not believe it! I felt so awesome!
I really hope to go see her sometime again in the near future! I give her highest recommendations!!! :) Thanks Kim!

I really love the products that Regina has created in her shop. I have been using her facial products for a couple years now. They are natural and clean ! no harsh chemicals or perfumes which is great !
She also sells some really good blends of herbal teas for what ever ails you !

RD alchemy is the BEST natural body product store ive found in all of SD. I love there orange mint scrub which is perfect for the summer. They do offer massage, facials and reiki treatments. Staff is above n beyond friendly and the vibes in the store are amazingly great! Nataly does facials n she is so helpful n knowledgeable on recommending the right products. Prices are not expensive an you definitely get what you pay for.

I’ve tried a number of their products since I found this place over a year ago, and have felt really good about them overall. One of the products wasn’t a perfect fit for my skin, but everything else I’ve gotten has been fantastic. Their eye makeup remover is great, but their sunscreen is FANTASTIC! It’s probably my favorite facial sunscreen ever. The service has always been really helpful and the products are made from good ingredients that I feel comfortable putting on my body. I’ll absolutely keep coming back, and recommend their products to all of my friends!

RD Alchemy’s products are amazing. I have tried my fair share of lotions over the years and their Cutisyn body lotion is the best that I’ve found. It not only moisturizes, it has actually made my skin healthier. Since I started using it, I am much less prone to eczema flare-​ups and skin irritation. It is very light and more fluid than the typical lotion but absorbs quickly and makes your skin soft and smooth. I even use it on my face. The facial sun block (physical barrier, not chemical) and hair conditioner are also great. All the products are made with natural, mostly organic ingredients, which is a huge selling point for me. The owner, Regina, has a background in pharmacology and extremely knowledgeable about the benefits of all the ingredients she uses. The store is small but has a calming vibe to it. I love it!

4.5 stars for rd alchemy! It’s a tranquil little slice of heaven that offers patrons an oasis of relaxation in house and also in the comfort of their own home through the sale of their unbelievable products. I think health is really important. It’s a spiritual process that encompasses not only physical fitness but the extent to which a person relieves stress, what they ingest into their bodies and what they put ON your body. RD Alchemy is a fantastic resource for all three of these things and much more.
As a stress reliever they offer fantastic massages! the last time i was here for a massage, i was taken to a cozy little room and even before the massage began, was relaxed by the intoxicating aromas of their products. my massage itself was wonderful. i always can tell how good a massage is by how dizzy i feel after. almost like a high or emisssion of energy! From what i understand physiologically, it signifies a release of toxins. after my massage here i felt pleasantly light headed. the girls, ever so gingerly, had me sit and gave me tea. they have such an impressive collection of herbs for tea! loose leaves and seeds that you can seep or add to cooking, use for aromatherapy, soak in the bath, etc. The staff at RD Alchemy are friendly and knowledgable… they were educating me in holistic practices of which herbs are helpful for which discomfort. (I think the girl who I was talking to today was named Lis? I might have that wrong but she was so smart and sweet just like everyone else there)
Anyway as i was eluding to earlier, I LOVE their body products! they’ve gone down in price significantly since the last time I’ve been here, either that or the bottles have gotten smaller so less expensive. i used to have insanely sensitive skin, if i put the wrong product on my face i’d break out in hives! so crazy embarrassing and uncomfortable. i’ve used several of their products, all naturally derived, and not only are they gentle and soothing but they smell AMAZING as well! i brought a bottle of cutisyn body butter and omg i swear it triggers an intense release of serotonin lol the smell is so euphoric! there’s tons of herbs and oils in it. i had to go on their website to remember exactly but it says there’s «Calendula, Burdock, Lavender, Chamomile, Comfrey, Amalaki, Green Tea, Plantain, Sarsaparilla, White Willow, Oat, Red Roses and Licorice along with pure essential oils, vegetable oils, butters, aloe vera and vitamins» which is quite the concoction! when i bought the cutisyn, it was thirty something dollars and now it’s $ 22 kind of steep at 4 oz, especially for a girl whose not working. oh actually now that I think about it, I’m pretty sure imy old bottle was 6 oz. Anyway, I also remember they used to offer classes here! Unfortunately, I think they’re taken a hiatus from that but hopefully it’ll come back. Regardless though, this place and the people that work here are true gems! I love it!

Natalie one of the main esthetician’s at RD Alchemy is amazing! She is very professional, knowledgeable in whats she’s doing, and gives great customer service. She’s helped me so much with my skin, when it comes to absolutely everything. If your interested in a more relaxing facial or if you want something more dramatic done to your skin like peels. She knows what she’s doing. If I was going to RD alchemy Natural products for the first time I would ask for her. Go see Natalie and I promise you wont be disappointed!

I would like to start off by saying that I was leaving on a trip and needed at last min facial; Natalie the aesthetician was very professional, and knowledgeable of what she was doing and product line. She geared me in the right direction for my skin type but also for my up coming trip. The whole experience was great I can’t wait to go back. I would definitely recommned this place and if at all possiable ask for Natalie she is very good at what she does, and well infromed which is so important when dealing with your face, skin and apperance as a whole. Plus she has a great attitude that puts you at easy.

Regina knows skin! She is a chemist and a professional. As far as the space goes, it is spotless and welcoming and cozy. Whether you need an exfoliant, moisturizer, body scrub or any other skin care product, this is the place to go for it. Why not support an excellent small business instead of going the corporate route? Thanks RD, I love my cleanser!

It took me a while to review this place, as I had really mixed feelings about my experience there. As my wedding date is quickly approaching, I decided to get facials more regularly, and some friends recommended that I try this salon. I scheduled a 1 hour facial. There were a lot of things I like about it. I don’t remember the name of the aesthetician, but she seemed knowledgeable and took time to figure out what was best for my skin. She used several different cleansers, serums, and even used an ultrasound laser. I thought the products smelled really good. I am not sure, but my skin seemed like it glowed a little more the next couple of days. I also felt the price was reasonable.
However, I didn’t much care for my experience there. When I go to get a facial, I go to relax, and feel pampered. Here I really did not. When I arrived, I felt awkward, as there is only one treatment room and I kind of felt like I interrupted the conversation between the owner and the aesthetician. When I was given the form to fill out about my skin, the only spot to sit was a small folding chair at a table. Maybe I am a little spoiled, but I am usually offered water or tea, given a warm welcome and sit down on a cozy chair or couch. What was worse, was that the woman doing the facial talked to me almost the entire time. I really did not want to hear about her life, or answer questions about mine… I wanted to relax. Then, she told me how all the products I use are not what I should be using and proceeded to tell me about all their natural products… for a long time. I know that most places like to push their products… they did not try to give me a hard sell or anything, but I really did not care to hear about them during the facial.
I luckily was able to tune her out.
All in all, good facial, reasonable price, not a great experience…3 stars.

So used up the rest of my Groupon with a massage, I really didn’t need one at the time, but i made the appointment awhile ago, and didn’t want to waste the remaining balance.
Although i don’t usually get massages, the masseuse was really good, asked what i wanted worked on, and if i had any issues. When she first started the massage, the first thing i noticed was her hands were really warm (at least 10º warmer than my body) like there was energy in her hands.
She was very knowledgeable about my body and was able to tell that i was left handed from massaging my arms and shoulders. (or maybe she watched me sign the paper) She even worked on loosening up the scar tissue where i had surgery and said that my pee might be a blueish or greenish color in the next few days which i though was odd but cool that she had that level of skill and knowledge.
So i guess it’s 5 stars for blue/​green pee!

I go to RD Alchemy for most of my skin care needs. Every time I go in there the owner Regina is very nice and extremely knowledgeable. I had a slight issue with my skin and what she recommended worked very quickly. I love this place!

We were referred to RD Alchemy by the Whole Foods in Hillcrest back in December. I’ve been back 3 times since.
Walking into RD Alchemy is like an herbal spa for the senses! It’s clean, bright, uncluttered store layout is pleasing to the eyes. The aromas of herbal teas, oils, and body care tantalize the nose. And Regina, the owner, has an air of calm which relaxes the mind.
In adiditon to the product and the asthetics, Regina’s knowledge of what each type of herb or mineral does, how and when it should be used, and her obvious love for what she does comes through each and every time we’ve been in.
If you have a cold that needs cared for, can’t sleep at night, need a calming herbal extract, or a revitalizing facial wash — come here first.

So, where to begin. I purchased a coupon earlier last year and used it with no issues. The services were performed by Melissa who is EXCELLENT. Melissa gave me a heads up they will be running another coupon and this time with Groupon. I purchased 4.
I called to make an appointment and the owner was helping me. She told me if I wanted to use my Groupon, I had to wait until August 2011. I told her the coupon expired Feb 9^th. She said they were extending the Groupon since they sold way more than what they were told by Groupon. She continued to tell me that she had to take a loan to accommodate the services being requested, she only had 1 treatment room, by the time she paid Melissa she was loosing money and if she honored all the Groupons she would go bankrupt. Wow, TMI! She also tried to get me to book a shorter appointment so she can get me in sooner. The entire booking experience seemed to be a burden to her.
I went ahead and booked an appointment for Melissa which I had to wait over 2 months for this paying appointment. The owner made it clear that she has «Groupon» appointments and «NON-​Groupon» appointments. Hmmm… nothing about this in the fine print.
I went in for my appointment in December, purchased some products with one of my 4 coupons and booked another «paying appointment». I was told I could use my groupon which shocked me. Regardless, I am not really concerned about using the Groupon for services or for product. I like to get a facial, have the Esthetician make recommendations and walk away with some products that meet my current skin needs. Whether I use the Groupon for services or for product, I really don’t care. Besides, I will just keep booking «Non-​Groupon» appointments and use my coupons until they expire in August. Seems fair, NO?
Oh no, not the case! 1) I was told I couldn’t use my Groupon, which I tried to use against service and some product since that is what I was told and 2) Apparently the coupon is not extended. The owner extended the coupon for services only since product was in stock. I tried to explain to her that doesn’t make any sense. She told me Groupon will not allow her to do this, they will only allow her to extend the coupon for services given her circumstances. It was just a bad conversation all around, I had just had a treatment totally relaxed and I had to try and figure out what she was talking about. She then said, the coupons expire in 2 days and they will not be extended. I started to pick up some product and reached for a lip gloss, she immediately said «that is not part of the Groupon». A bit stressful. I paid for my appointment ($ 88 plus tip) and left.
Hmmmm…my point is, I can go ahead and cash out my $ 300 in Groupons all in one shot and never return –OR– continue to book «paying appointments» and cash out my coupons over the next 6 months. Isn’t that better for her to have revenue coming in vs. nothing but free product going out? I continued to explain to her she should extend the Groupon for anyone booking «paying appointments». It was like talking to a stone.
Bottom line, the owners approach and her attitude when taking appointments is just awful. She gives the impression its a burden.
Lastly, if you talk to Groupon their story is completely different than her story. They will allow her to extend the groupon, she was notified and given the ability to maximize the amount of groupons sold and she could have specified additional conditions of the sale to protect her business.
I will not return to this place which I would think is a loss for them. I was a paying customer who had some groupons. I could have continued to pay for appointments but instead I called Groupon, they issued credit for the 4 Groupons and I can move on to another place.

A groupon brought the masses. and I’m glad it brought me.
I got a groupon as a gift, and I delayed on booking a treatment, so I ended up getting products instead. And I have been pleasantly surprised:
— Anti-​Aging Serum: A light serum that smells yummy and seems to work. It’s a sorta gel kinda thing, but doesn’t leave a sticky residue. I believe in preventative maintenance, and this seems to work well.
— Night Repairing Moisturizer lotion: Fabulous night cream that smells as good as the serum. With the cold winters of San Diego, my skin sometimes dries out, and this is perfect.
— Refining Mask: I use this about once a week, and it leaves my skin nice and tight.
All in all. the products are of good quality and the above items range from $ 18-​$ 35. A little on the higher end I suppose, but I’m satisfied with the products. Customer Service was excellent. They were very helpful, and efficient. I was in a bit of a hurry, so they moved me right along.
