Rick came over and looked over my roof. Very polite and courteous. Said I had a number of years remaining on it, but I told him I was considering solar panels and didn’t want to have solar put on top of an old roof. Quote was fair and reasonable considering that I knew there was damaged wood that needed replacing as well as several tailored exterior attic vent screens I wanted replaced as well. A spot opened up on the schedule and a team came over to tear off the roof in one day. Gracious and polite leaving the surrounding area clean afterwards. Another team followed to replace dry-​rotted and old termite-​damaged wood with primed starter board and facia. New roof shingles were installed expeditiously and the place was cleaned-​up quite well after they finished. Rick provided a 10 year warranty on labor and registered my roof for a 50 year warranty with Owens-​Corning. After this re-​roof experience, I can highly recommend RC Roofing for a professional job well-​done!

Just finished our roof and it came out great. There were no hidden costs or messing around. RC Roofing was very professional and knocked out our job really fast.
We’ve owned our house for about 2 years and the roof was in bad shape. We had an old shake roof with composition over the top. It all had to be torn off and replaced, which included sheeting the whole hose before a new roof could be put down. All in, there was about 2000 sq’ of roof to complete; and, they completed the whole thing in about a day and a half.
I would use them again.

I would highly recommend RC Roofing. They re-​roofed a 20-​year-​old plus roof that badly need it because individual shingles were already coming apart. Rick and his workers were always punctual, professional, and neat. Rick also took the time to answer any questions I had either by phone or email. I loved how he paid close attention to detail to things I even missed. It was nice doing business with him and I would refer him again to any roofing projects for my house.

Just installed solar panels on my roof and would like to update the part of the old roof shingles. Called RC Roofing’s owner Rick and he was promptly able to schedule a meeting within a week. On the day of meeting, Rick showed up right on time and walked through my roof. He was very patiently explained to me that I should redo my roofing before installing panels because they need to take my panels off in order to do new roofing as Rick like to put in quality and guarantee the result. I really appreciate his input. Last but not least, Rick still inspected my roof and told me my old roofing are good to last another 5 yrs. Rick’s professionism is outstanding and not out there to get your money. Thanks.

We just finished our large roofing project with RC Roofing. We had an old 1958 Tar and Gravel roof with rotting facia boards all around. Rick Clark «RC» and Jonathan Fulps have completed the work and I can now say it was smooth sailing working with this most excellent company. I can’t recommend them highly enough. Everyone from the owner to the daily workers were wonderful to work with. They were very professional from start to finish.

We originally found RC Roofing through Angies’ List and he had spectacular reviews. We have always opted for quality over trying to save a few dollars, particularly on an item as critical as our roof. We had Rick come out and inspect our roof due to a leak that another roof repair company was unable to satisfactorily repair. In addition to the leak repair, Rick identified multiple areas that needed improvement with upgraded flashing and repair of tiles. Fast forward a five years and we are getting ready to put our house on the market. Given that the roof is 25 years old, we were pretty much resigned to needing a new roof, but we called Rick last week to give us a status. With the recent rains, we were concerned about how quick he would be able to get out, but he was able to see us within 5 days of our call. (NOTE: Rick, the owner of RC Roofing performs ALL inspections himself. He has a crew that does the work, but the initial inspection is done by Rick.) After his inspection, Rick met with us and showed us pictures and stated that our roof was in great condition and would NOT need to be replaced. We attribute this to the outstanding work that he originally did identifying and performing repairs as well as the installation of upgraded flashing. We highly recommend Rick to our friends and neighbors (incidentally, Rick noticed some repairs that needed to be done on our neighbors’ home, and they are in the process of having him come out and provide an estimate). Go with RC Roofing. you will not be disappointed with the quality of the work, attention to detail and the overall pleasurable and professional relationship you will develop with Rick.

I recently called RC Roofing for an estimate on my father’s roof. I promptly received a call back from «Rick» and he scheduled a date for the estimate. All went well and I received a copy of the bid via email. I called Rick back and accepted his bid, which was 25% over the next estimate I had received, mostly based on the reviews posted here. Rick sent me a copy of the contract and my father wished to be added as a named insured on Ricks policy. Rick told me there would be a substantial cost to do so ($ 300) in addition to the bid. I simply said there would be an issue with that as I know there is no additional cost to the contractor to add someone to their policy. At that moment, Rick became quite irritated and said «I’ve got people banging down my doors to do their roof. I’m not dealing with any difficult customers… I mean it.» I simply stated I wasn’t going to argue with him and we’ll just call it a day and that was that. Supply and demand shouldn’t dictate how one treats a prospective customer. For this reason, I will not be recommending RC Roofing to anyone.

If you can get Rick and RC Roofing to do your work, DO IT! Rick is honest, fair and does great, clean work. He is also great at communicating with the client which is sometimes hard with contractors. I highly recommend them!!!

Owner Rick Clark is friendly and fair. His company is quite busy now in neighborhoods like mine with homes built 25 years ago with roofs that are due to be replaced, especially with concerns about a wet winter due to El Niño. But when you call his voicemail will state the current ETA for estimates and job scheduling. Have faith, he’ll be in touch and follow through!
Rick’s crew arrived promptly every day and had a friendly foreman. Everyone worked hard and they cleaned up each night. (Roofing is messy business!) The end result was a tidy job that is a vast improvement from our original roof. Highly recommend RC Roofing!

We purchased a home and were told by our inspector the roof had a few years… that was until the downpour we had in the summer. We researched 4 roofing companies and after reviewing the costs and quality of products, we chose Rick’s company to do our roof. They were quick and clean. It was a bit of a wait to get them out to us, but it was well worth it. Rick was professional and his team was great. Looking forward to El Nino!

Phenomenal roofer. Communicative. Did exactly what he told me he was going to do. Everything is perfect. I have been meaning to write this review for awhile because he did our roof in June. It’s rained and there’s no problems. It looks good too. I love to compliment competent people. You won’t go wrong. One tip I could suggest: if you have skylights, put something on the floor under them. We had to clean up a small amount of debris. No big deal, but if we’d had ground cloths, we could have just thrown them away. That is the only small issue that we had. Rick is competitive when it comes to pricing. He was cheaper and had a much better rating than one roofer who an acquaintance recommended. His good rating is well deserved.

After two consecutive days of heavy rain, I definitely feel confident writing this review.
My husband and I recently contacted Rick from RC roofing to come inspect our roof. Based on the inspection, which was completed for free and in a very timely manner, Rick recommended that we replace the entire roof. We knew there were issues since we had a few leaks, but we are grateful we went with professionals instead of trying to patch the leaks ourselves. Rick’s team was incredibly professional, efficient, and detail oriented. It was even more reassuring that he would not accept payment until both my husband and I approved of the work that was done. The roof installed comes with a 30 year warranty and he said to call him if there were any issues in the future (which was also reassuring)!

Rick and his team just replaced my roof and the whole experience was the model upon which all contractor experiences should be based. Professional, courteous, informative and responsive — just a few of the adjectives applicable to RC Roofing. They were very careful and respectful of the property and when they left, you’d never have known a large crew had been there — other than the beautiful roof I now have. Many neighbors have stopped to offer compliments. I’m delighted with the results as well as being the envy of the neighborhood.

We had a series of consecutive storms back in in early December 2014 that brought some high winds and rain to San Diego. I woke up to rain coming in through my air conditioning register and traced it to a small leak in the roof. It was a pretty stressful time for us all, right before the holidays and I received a recommendation from a friend who recently had work done by RC Roofing. I gave Rick Clark a call. I knew his schedule was probably filling up as I wasn’t the only one with a leak after these storms. He was responsive and although the schedule was tight, he managed to squeeze me in for a repair before the New Year. His team did a professional job and were friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend this business to anyone looking for roofing experts.

I am extremely satisfied with the service I received from RC Roofing. Rick arrived promptly, quoted the multiple projects efficiently and stood behind everything he said he would do. His price was substantially lower than my other quotes, but the quality and service were both top notch.
Rain was forecast for the day following the demo, but Rick’s foreman promised that everything would be totally dried-​in before they left and that’s exactly what they did. I’m confident that he and the crew would have stayed as long as it took to fulfill that promise. After the rain, they returned and completed all projects in a single day. Cleanup was thorough and disruption was minimal. There were a few very minor follow-​up items and his crew took care of those promptly and cheerfully.
My house was built in the 1950’s, so there are always «surprises» on every project, but Rick anticipated those and quoted what each may entail. I was prepared for the additional charges and felt they were very fair and commensurate with the additional work involved. I would highly recommend him for any roofing project. Rick will definitely be my first call if any other roofing work is needed in the future.

Rick and his team are the best. I have been using RC Roofing for my various homes over the past 7 years. His prices are very reasonable and his workmanship is top notch. Hands down best contractor I have ever used! Great service from start to finish. Even 9 years later we are still happy with the roof & when a tile broke last year they came out and fixed it no questions asked. Rick is the best! We recommend RC Roofing to all our friends and family.

Rick, the owner at RC Roofing, came out to give us a bid. Went up on the roof, unlike one of his competitors. He noticed right away a spot on the roof where the water would not drain off. He told us how he would correct it, unlike the 2 previous roofers we had used. He also had suggestions for venting, as in a ridge vent and a O’Hagen vent for a whole house fan. Rick said he had a special process for reinstalling the Direct tv dish, and would have the dish off for the shortest time possible. When he left he promised a bid via e-​mail. It came that evening. We had 2 other bids and selected his. His roofers have been with him for 15 years and know their job. They were polite, friendly and were very accommodating to any requests I had. They cleaned up the yard well, knowing we had a new 9 week old puppy. And they did a GREAT job putting the roof on. They had the Direct TV dish off for as short of time as possible. One roofer came back 2 days later to put the roof flashing on a new vent that a plumber had neglected to install before the roofers came. The job finished on time, looks good and most important I enjoyed the process. We would definitely use RC Roofing again. AND WE WILL RECOMMEND RC ROOFING TO ALL OUR FRIENDS.
