Established in 1982.

Raz International has originally established overseas and Europe in1982 by Amnon Zakay.

Amnon himself has suffered from hair loss since his early-​mid twenties.

Since founding Raz International back in 1982 Amnon has combined his professionalism, passion, knowledge and artistic skills to give countless happy clients.

Amnon is a licensed barber in California and he views hair restoration as not only his profession, but as an artistic endeavor that enables him to help people restore their confidence and beauty. Amnon is constantly striving to refine his techniques, so he can continue delighting his clients with the most effective and natural solutions for their thinning hair and hair loss.

Since 2002 Amnon personally runs the San Diego branch.

I have been going to Raz for several years. I’ve been consistently pleased with my experience there, but was reluctant to leave a review because I wasn’t sure I wanted to broadcast over Unilocal that I wear hair. At this juncture, however, I’m not as concerned with that and want to give Amnon and staff credit where credit is due. The quality of the hair that he uses is superb and he is unbelievably efficient at his craft. I will also say that wearing hair takes some getting used to, but over the years I have really mastered how to care for and style my hair additions, and Amnon has been a tremendous help in this area as well. They also sell really high quality hair care products that I wouldn’t want to live without. In terms of pricing, the cost of my monthly maintenance (color, cut, etc.) is actually less than what I used to pay at my old salon. The cost of the aforementioned hair care products is also comparable to what you’d pay at other salons, and probably of higher caliber. If you are a woman of any age with fine, thin, or progressively thinning hair, I highly recommend you call Raz for a no obligation consultation and see how they can help you get your confidence back.

Raz hair is beyond professional and amazing. Amnon is beyond meticulous, detailed, professional and very caring to his clientele. He has taken excellent care of my mother. She looks natural yet stunning. I have also referred my uncle and grandfather to Amnon and he is just as detailed with men’s hair and women. He goes through extremes to customize the hair for each and every client. He is in this industry for different reasons, not for sales. I cannot recommend him enough.

I feel so fortunate to have found Raz international. A few years ago, I lost a lot of weight Ina short time, and about 4 months later, my hair was falling out.
I have always had fine, thin hair. But, this hair loss was bad. I sought out hair extensions which were exorbitantly expensive, time consuming, and damaged my hair even more. Then, I had a friend whose girlfriend went to Amnon (Amnon is the genius artist who owns Raz International).
My friend was so kind and caring, he gave me the business card.
I made an appointment for a free consultation. I couldn’t believe my eyes.
The hair solution Amnon selected for me looked to good to be true.
Well, I have been going to him for almost 4 years, and I’ve never been happier with my hair.

Amnon Zakay of Raz International has provided me with a livable, stylish solution to my thinning hair problem. During a free consultation, he explained several hair restoration options.
I chose his «integrated method» replacement piece that he designed and styled just for me. It is artfully attached to some of my hair and is removed and restyled every five weeks. It is lightweight and easy to live with. I can shower, shampoo, sleep, and style it myself.

I spent $ 1500 to have him weave real hair into my very thinning hair. What a diaster…
it is woven in so tightly you can hardly sleep on it. When I had him remove it, because its so tightly wound into your own hair, that I lost even MORE hair getting it out. And don’t be fooled into thinking its just like having hair because you and your potential boyfriend, significant other can’t run their fingers thru your hair without feeling the lumps! Beware,

Baldness is especially difficult if you are a woman. Many solutions are not very good because they restrict your activities and are difficult to maintain. Raz International’s solution which consists of weaving a unit made of natural hair to your own hair, is remarkable. I’ve had mine for six months now and I am so used to it now that I don’t even remember I have it. I don’t need to go to the hair dresser as often as I did because it covers white hair pretty well. Finally, people admire my new hair and when they ask what I did, I just say I changed hair dressers. Except for a little bit of discomfort every time the unit is tightened, about every four-​to-​six weeks, I am truly delighted with the results. I have calculated the cost and including the price for the unit on a yearly basis, I am not paying more for my hair upkeep.

I have been a client of Amnon’s at Raz Inernational for over a year now. The owner, Amnon, is one of most accommodating, honest, genine, generous, talented people I have come to know. Loss of hair is a personal and private experience. Amnon is supportive and talented, and aims to please. He goes out of this way to fit you in, get back to you, and take care of his clients. The «additional hair’ unit is natural in its appearance, and fairly easy to maintain once one gets in the groove. If you have thinning hair or spot loss, I’d highly recommend you consider this process.
