GO ELSEWHERE! Everything about this business is sub par. They’ll sell you on the high quality and service which isn’t all that true. The workmanship I was left with disappointing. Paint drips, uneven body seams, door jams are tough to open, etc.
Took twice as long too!
This business should be located in San Ysidro along with the other junk yard type repair shops.

I hate to admit this but this is my 2^nd visit to Qualtech for repairs. Both times that have done an awesome job. Thanks for taking care of my vehicle!

I don’t know anything about the pricing because an insurance company paid for my repairs but…
The service and repairs were fantastic!
— The car looked better than it did before the accident.
— They finished my repairs a day early, used parts that don’t void my warranted and even fixed damage done in previous (uncovered) incidents for free (scuffs and scratches). — Replaced a few things they probably didn’t need to with brand new parts for aesthetic purposes.
— I got email updates almost every day and a detailed receipt covering what parts they used and useful information on what they did.
The service adviser Oscar was awesome! Very patient with the time it took me to drop the vehicle off. Followed up on all my concerns, anything he couldn’t answer he had the right person contact me, without me asking. Also made himself available on a day he isn’t normally there to return my car to me.
I also love that they didn’t leave me hanging with a rental car. They worked with a 3^rd party to make sure everything went smoothly and my work commute wasn’t disrupted.

Had a positive experience with this place with my hit and run accident insurance claim. Both Oscar and the manager kept me very informed and actually cared about my experience. Oscar kept me informed on any delays and all updates with my vehicle repair. He also showed me in detail everything that was done when they finished. There work was done very well and professionally. There paint was well blended and I don’t have any basic paint on my Jeep. It’s a metallic flake black paint and came out perfect. They also repainted the bumper that was covered in chips from gravil and rocks from people kicking it up on the road in front of you. I also had paint peeling bad from the front lip that wasn’t even caused from the accident that they repaired and repainted free of charge. Not to mention my jeep emblem they painted gloss black even tho it was plastidipped and was planning on it anyways. So saved me the expense.
After I came to pick up my vehicle the owner came out and complimented me on my exhaust and we talked cars and racing. Totally cool guy. Great experience. Thank you QUALTECH!

Qualtech was recommended by my insurance company. My car was backed into while parked at work and I wanted to get it repaired immediately. Originally, I opted for the dealer to handle all of the repairs so I was just taking my vehicle to Qualtech for an estimate. The same day I dropped my car off I received a call that everything was processed and the other party’s insurance accepted full responsibility so we could get started anytime. After meeting with Oscar, I decided to go ahead and have everything done through them. I received emails updating me on the vehicle. It was done in just a few days and looked great!

Return, repeat customer @ Qualtech. First time was re-​repair about a year ago on my nickel for a lousy body shop repair elsewhere (when I went back, the other repair shop was out of business… go figure). @ Qualtech, nothing but professionalism, quality and service. Just ask for Oscar, and let him make it happen. Also, Qualtech has a positive cozy relationship with Enterprise Rent A Car on 3900 Block of El Cajon Blvd. to make the drop off and pick up part of the repair particularly painless. Going to give them a 5 star review as well.
If possible, I would rate Qualtech higher than 5 star for the value and extra care they did on my repairs. Also, kept abreast of repair status and insurance company interface. Added some extra work (my cost responsibility) for unrelated accident repair… did a fantastic job and fair price.

I brought in my Mercedes C300 in after the front bumper got scratched. Qualtech auto collision did a perfect body work on the bumper and they also repair the scratches on rest of the car for no extra cost.

Just had some major collision damage repaired at Qualtech, I must say the car looks OUTSTANDING! My wife was involved in a moderately bad traffic collision resulting in about $ 14k in damage to her 2014 Kia. Infinity (who I am not so pleased with) recommended Qualtech. Rigoberto was great keeping me updated on the status, and even got Qualtech to take over paying for my rental when the repairs took longer than expected. As far as the time it took, KIA and thanksgiving/​Christmas/​New Years were the major contributors to that, not Qualtech. When I picked up the car is was freshly detailed inside and out with no Airbag odor. I looked it over and you can not tell any work had been done. Thank you Rigoberto and Qualtech for doing such a great job and making both my wife and myself very happy.

So far so good. Oscar was assigned to me for whatever reason and he was very friendly and sent me approximately 7 email updates in the span of his estimated 2 week fixing time (which took about 9 days) as well as phone calls. That would be enough for the 5 stars but there’s more. My insurance company recommended an aftermarket bumper for one of my repairs. Oscar didn’t like the look of the bumper so he got me the brand new Toyota bumper. Also they recommended the aftermarket light for my right rear. He installed the brand new Toyota light. Lifetime warranty on all my repairs and I’m a satisfied customer. Thanks for the tlc qualtech. And a special thank you to Oscar :)

After getting in a major accident on I8, that left the whole right side of my car smashed, I really wasn’t quite sure what to do, as this was my first major car crash. Of course I knew to call my insurance Co., which I did, and they referred me to Qualtech. Before I could even take my car there Oscar was calling me to let me know that my insurance company had already approved the repairs and that he would be more than happy to help me get my car fixed. I did in fact take my car to them. Oscar gave me a target date of when my car would be done. He also told me that sometimes there is more damage that we can’t see right away. And in fact there was. Not only did he handle everything with my insurance company regarding the damage he couldn’t see, he also arranged for them pay for a rental car, and called me every other day to inform me of the progress of the repairs. My car was in fact ready on the original target date. And my car looked brand new, the paint even matched perfectly (I was worried it wouldn’t).
So I was extremely pleased With not only the quality of work at Qualtech but also their high level of customer service. If you need your car fixed and aren’t really sure how the process works, or even if you do know how it works, Take your car here. You wont be sorry.

After some major hail damage, my car ended up at Qualtech to be fixed. This was arranged through my insurance company and at first I was impressed with the personalized service. They quoted 30 days which worked out perfectly with the 30 days my insurance covered a rental. They ended up taking one extra day, but they were very nice about it. I was impressed with their work when I first got my car back. The next morning I noticed bubbles in the black out tape and made an appointment with my insurance company to drop it back off to them on Monday to be fixed. What happened next was what set me over. My doors started rusting within three days of getting my car from them. The doors they just fixed and painted. I drive a brand new 2014 that I had owned for 30 days before dropping it off to be fixed. We inspected the car further and found multiple areas that were not fixed properly. There was a problem with every piece of the black tape by the windows that they had «fixed». We also found a water bottle that one of their employees left under the hood. It had been there for 4 days and was hot and warped.
I received a call from Qualtech stating that they had only half painted the doors and that is why they rusted. They said a breaker blew while the doors were baking, they took the doors out to fix it, somebody else put the doors back on the car. Kind of understandable, but where is a quality check? Where is the original people that took them out? Also, the guy that normally does the tape part was out, so they let somebody else do it. They were awful. Again, where is a quality check? Nobody would own up to leaving a water bottle under the hood.
They returned the car to the insurance company a few days later. The insurance company sent it back to Qualtech again! This is now the 3^rd time it was in their shop to be fixed. I didn’t see it this time, but it was due to the paint job on the doors.
I got my car back a few days after this. They assured me the bubbles in the tape would disappear in 24 hours. Upon inspecting my car, we found six different things still done sloppy. My car was eventually sent to a different collision center in San Diego to be fixed properly.
Qualtech had 3 chances to get this right. The only word I can call their work is «sloppy». I would not recommend this company to anybody, especially if you want to keep your brand new car looking brand new.

I’m late with writing this review… I’ve had four separate cars worked on by Qualtech… just recently a Ford Fiesta that took a door to the passenger side (driver in a parked car just whipped his door open without looking for traffic).
There is no longer any trace of the incident and the work was performed on time. Price was very reasonable for such high end workmanship.
About a year ago my daughter backed up into a parking post with her Honda Fit. Big ugly dent in the rear hatch door. Qualtech not only repaired this flawlessly, they fixed the poor painting application from a previous incident that happened years ago. It was a bit more work for them, but they need to work to their standards not the previous body shops. The other two vehicle services are too embarrassing to discuss, but Qualtech made them vanish. So a 5 Star rating for Mark and his team at Qualtech.

So, to say I’m picky is an understatement, and to say that a white three stage paint is a pain in the butt follows suit. Oscar has been AMAZING! Accommodating and incredibly patient with my requests and the impossible tasks before him. Every time I see him, I find the same words spoken from his mouth, «I wan’t YOU to be happy with the job.» I’m happy with the communication (very important to me) as well as the thoroughness and friendliness of Oscar! If I ever need anything else painted, I’m coming here (even if he is dreading my poor, pain in the butt three stage paint ;).)

I recently had an accident and took my car into Qualtech. They delivered the car back to me exactly when they said they would and it looks fantastic! You cannot even tell it’s been in an accident. The body work and color match is perfect. Everyone was extremely nice and kept me updated throughout the whole process. Hopefully I never get in another accident but if I do I am definitely going to be bringing my car back to Qualtech.

HIGHLY recommend this place!
Recently, my car started making a loud whining noise out of nowhere. Brought my car to Firestone and after doing some testing, they said my alternator needed to be replaced. Then they proceeded to tell me that I also needed an oil change (ok, I needed that one), some fuel system cleaning, a coolant system service with antifreeze, and my brake fluid changed. all for a whopping $ 700. What the?! No way! So I took my car to the lovely folks at Qualtech. They replaced my alternator and did my oil change for WAAAY less than Firestone was going to charge me. They didn’t try to upsell me on services I didn’t need. Plus, they had my car in and out in no time. I was amazed at how quick it was done! My car has been running like a champ ever since!
Overall, they were super nice and I didn’t feel like I was getting taken advantage of like I do at other auto shops. I had such a great experience at Qualtech that my husband and I will continue to bring our cars here for all our car needs. I HIGHLY recommend that you do the same!

First off, I brought my car in for damage caused by a hit and run and the Insurance Company had them on the list and having known of them through friends and club members. They did a good job on the insurance covered repairs, but the extra work was less than sub-​par. They wrinkled my hood, my door lock no longer works etc… I brought it back and the owner gave me lip service and lied to me. I would not trust them to work on a lawnmower.

:(Will NEVER go back again. Paid $ 1400 dollars to make our check engine light go away. It never did. Whose to say the parts we paid for were new as well? Our vehicle was there for a month because it wasn’t that important. Will NEVER recommend this place to anyone!

So beyond frustrated with my experience with this place.
Had some damage from a tire chain to the front right side of my car. Brought it to my insurance claims center, Progressive, and they told me they would take care of everything. Well they took my car to Qualtech.
The first time I got my car back I was embarrassed for both Qualtech and Progressive. The fact that you would give me my car back with such poorly done work is just horrible. It looked like whoever had sprayed my car had a dog or some sort of animal because there was, what I can only describe as hair, throughout the entire newly painted area. There were also several imperfections that I spotted within looking at my car for a few minutes. Also, they forgot to replace my light that had been damaged.
Round 2. Dropped my car back off to Progressive, pointed out my areas of concern and that the light needed to be replaced. Came back a few days later to pick up my car. Still imperfections in the paint.
Round 3: Manager from progressive and Qualtech came out to me, which was very nice. I went over my areas of concerns with them. There was still imperfections in the paint and there was clouding in the clear coat. They took my car back to the shop and left me with a rental. Got my car back, Progressive delivered it to me. Looked good. Qualtech let me with an Amorall Detailing kit. Thanks. Well then I noticed my driver side mat looked like it had gone through hell. Part of the side of the mat had been pulled away and then the round plastic part that fits into a lock to keep my mat in place had been yanked out. Why they were even messing with my mats I have no idea. Maybe it was when they were vacuuming but it looks like whoever did it didn’t realize that all you had to do was twist the little knob to unlock it and the mat would come off because it looks like someone just pulled on it until the plastic ring in my mat came out. WHAT!!!
I don’t know what is going on with this place but they need to fix some serious quality control issues. I am not a professional and I don’t know what to look for, so the fact that I am finding issues like this means that the peeps at both Qualtech and Progressive are not thoroughly inspecting their work. I appreciated that the manager came out to me for my ROUND 3 of concerns and the Amorall detailing kit but I would have much rather had the work done correctly the first time around and the interior of my car to be left the way it was delivered to them, with my mats intact!
Oh, and you may ask, how do I know if was them? Well I wash/​vacuum my car myself. The last time I had my car professionally cleaned was about 4 months ago and I have removed my mats since then to vacuum so I would have noticed if there was any damage. My car has under 20k miles on it and is in pretty darn good shape. My car is my baby, I just got it in August and Qualtech has made the experience of getting my car repainted a frustrating headache.
Who knows, maybe I am just that one person who had the unfortunate, bad experience. We know it happens. There is always that one person that despite how many good reviews the place has, they have a horrible time. I am thinking that maybe this is the case but in any case I would never come back here or ever recommend anyone to come here. If I ever have to have body work done to my car again I will not be going through Progressive but will instead be taking it to the place of my choice.

This review is long overdue!
For a while, it seemed that people liked to hit my poor car… I LOVE my car, so I hate to see it damaged & it’s scary to have to turn it over for repairs! After one accident it was sent here through my insurance company. I was so pleased with the results that I requested QualTech again the next time. The wait times have been reasonable (although it sucks to have to drive a rental for ANY amount of time!) Each time my car has come back looking beautiful– the actual repairs are perfect, & even scratches & scrapes totally unrelated to the repairs it went in for have been buffed out or dramatically improved after they worked on it. The last time they found hidden damage & repaired that too… so they inspect the car very carefully. Fortunately I haven’t gotten hit since then… but if I do, I’ll request these guys again!

This is the second time I have used Qualtech within the span of 6 months (bad luck driving for me!) and both times they were GREAT! They were quick to call me with an estimate, they were friendly and professional, they were fast with the repairs, and best of all, they detailed my car after they fixed it (inside and out)! To top it off, they offer you a SECOND, FREE, detail if you come back within 1 month! I forgot the first time around, but went back the second time and my car looks awesome! They even put in an Armor All gift basket in my front seat.
They were all awesome. Qualtech is run the way all companies should be. If you ever get in an accident, GO THERE! I was so impressed :)
