Well, I was meeting a guy who was a customer of this pawn shop. He had a watch in pawn and was going to get it out to sell to me. I got to the pawn shop maybe 5 minutes before this customer got there. Not a frequent customer this pawn shop not any other one, I got buzzed in to the lockable entry door. As I entered into the Cracker Jack box store I was greeted by the pawn clerk greeting with«how can I help you? «. I explained why I was here and I was waiting on their customer so we could look at the pawned watch. I did not suggest doing business in the pawn shop nor did I know any rules of a pawn shop. I actually started to get interested by the old collectable coin section and was even thinking of talking price on the coins, when I was caught off guard to the point I am writing this review. As I stated I am here to meet up with one of their customers, an aggressive older man off to the side in back of the store overwhelmed me with a comment he said as I got done with my initial comments to the pawn clerk. Mind you, this is within first entering the shop. The older man in back was looking like he was inspecting and/or cleaning some jewelry. The older man in back yelled out as he interrupted the clerk and I’s initial talk with«Maybe I should make my own offer to my customer to buy his watch !? «. I, of course, looked now at him and stated«I’m sorry what did you say? «. He repeated«you heard me !» So I replied«well wouldn’t that be a conflict of interest as you want him to pay you your money to get his watch out of pawn? ». This pawn representative in back then started in with comments I would call argumentative & out of left field with such an attitude. So I asked this older pawn rep«is the owner here as you don’t talk to customers like this?» And the older pawn rep stated«I am the owner and why don’t you get the f@ck out of my shop!» At that point I stated one last comment before I was going to get mad at this guy with a big chip on his shoulder and said«this is not the way you treat potential customers here & that you are doing business ass backwards!» Then I asked them to buzz me out. Never the less I sat there in front of this pawn shop thinking I can not believe this just happened. I am in the customer service industry and my saying is that the customer is always right. And treat a customer like you would treat a family member. This owner if I would have stayed to argue would have had it in him to fight me over whatever his problem was. This pawn shop I will never go to again. In fact, if you are pawn shop fan, this pawn shop is small, not a good selection, and lacks the business mindset to take care of anyone. The owner is short sided, and is a very mad person. I still am speak less with how I was treated there. But he deserves all of you to read this review.

Just happened to come across this store while in town with a dead watch. Very friendly staff, non-intimidating shop, and the owner handled my request very quickly. Good amount of jewelry, vintage currency and other stuff in here. Worth checking out.

I had an old watch that I really needed to get rid of. It was a nice gold watch so I knew it was worth a decent amount. I search around online and found presidio and decided that they would most likely be a worthwhile option. I came here and from the moment I got there everything was fantastic. Perfect service, manners were excellent. I also managed to work with Dan and what a blessing it was. Dan is what I would call a «jewelry expert». He took a look at my watch and did some fancy calculation. Then he hold me that based on the price of gold right now he would be able to give me 1,000 for it. What a nice feeling, Dan could have tried to be stingy and offer me 500 and I might have took it. But instead he came forward, gave me a solid offer and I accepted. I got paid, Dan got my watch and we were both happy parties. These guys really know how to conduct themselves. I would definitely go here again, as this is a market that’s filled with«shady» people but Presidio are a group of stand up gentleman and I’m glad I found them.

My family and I have been customers of Presidio Jewelry for almost 40 years. In high school my parents worked with Dan and Christy creating beautiful custom Jewelry and restoring family heirlooms. Once my mom had a yellow gold nugget ring made for me using old jewelry she no longer needed. When we received the ring Dan handed us a small bag with a drop of gold marked 24K, he told us «bring this back the next time you want something made». Frankly I don’t make jewelry and I wouldn’t know what it took to make that ring, I’ll bet neither would you. Over the years I’ve recommend friends, family and strangers to Presidio, last year when my daughter was getting married I sent my Son-in-Law there for the wedding Bands. Everyone I’ve sent was surprised by their honesty, fairness and integrity leaving them very satisfied and repeat customers. I have more successful stories about Presidio Jewelry from their tremendous service and support to making each experience special. Unfortunately my parents are no longer with us, but our family continue doing business with Presidio and I highly recommend Dan, Christy, and Presidio Jewelry Store whether you’re looking for something Custom, Estate, Vintage, or edgy. I absolutely know for all your Jewelry needs this is the only place I would send you.

My son happened upon this place and we thought we’d take in some broken chains and get a couple of bucks. These people were kind, friendly and more than anything HONEST. They were willing to answer any questions and didn’t make you feel rushed or pressured to give them your business. They had a store full of unique antiques and collectables. Great place to find a unique gift.

The guys in here are super quick, friendly, no b.s. types. I was in & out of there to sell my old gold pieces in 5 minutes. It was the easiest transaction I’ve ever done at a pawn shop! I will definitely go back when I need to sell more gold. They also have a great selection of jewelry & antiques for sale.
