In addition to their perfectly baked pretzels, Bob and Casey’s Christmas ornament cookies are an amazing treat. They look just like a beautifully packaged glass ornament and SURPRISE! they are an edible treat. I bring them to parties and give them to neighbors at the holidays. If you haven’t seen AND eaten one of their beautiful confections, you are missing out!

Philly Soft Pretzel Company comes to my granddaughter’s school, Carmel Creek Elementary School every Wednesday afternoon and that day has become known as «Pretzel Day» for her and I. My granddaughter talks about Pretzel Day all week. Part of the reason for her excitement is of course, the great pretzels and the Italian Ice, but it is also about the personal connection she feels with the owners, Bob and Casey, who talk with her, asks about her sister, BonBon, and shows my little granddaughter such respect and interest. Bob and Casey are wonderful people and make Pretzel Day a wonderful part of my granddaughter’s school experience.

BETTER THAN RITAS! Bob and Casey are 2 of the nicest people I’ve ever met! Their Italian Ice is amazing! And pretzels are great! If I could visit them everyday I would! You have to try the Italian ice in piña colada, you won’t be disappointed!

Yes! I just happened upon this truck on a carbo-​loading day before a big run. Great pretzel, great price!

Yesterday 4÷30÷15 we were riding our bikes along the 56 bike path when we rolled up on the Philly Pretzel Lady Casey parked along one of the exits. We had no cash on us however she gave us one to try. Wow! an a free sample of the Italian Ice.

Philly Soft Pretzel was the perfect food truck to have at the wedding cocktail hour. It paired well with the craft beers served at my daughter’s wedding. Nothing beats a hot soft pretzel and a good beer! Casey was so easy to work with. She allowed us to serve my daughter’s beer cheese which was a hit! They were professional and I would recommend them to anyone who is holding an event.

wow! may not look like the pretzels we used to have on sabrett street corners (NYC), but man did it taste and feel exactly like it.
it had a crunchy crust the day of,… and a week later after reheating from frozen in the oven. the dough was dense where a press down or a pinch resulted in a bit of tension going in and rising back up. add a train line of «deli mustard» with that killer dough along with the salt… now that’s a pretzel! east coast pretzels are unlike any pretzels you will ever have.
its just too bad they’re working off a mobile truck. would be nice if they got an account with a major supermarket like bread and cie where they can drop off a box of 5 or 10 every week. or how about bars throughout SD.

How stoked was I when I happen to take an alternate route home from the airport and stumbled upon these guys parked off the 56 at Carmel valley. I thought I was seeing things, but they were for real. How freakin cool! I grew up eating Philly Pretzels from the guys on the corner. I remember when they were 5 for a buck. Most people don’t get it until they try one. Gotta have the Guldens spicy brown. I was skeptical, but after the first bite I was sold. Took a bag home to surprise the family and they were as stoked as I was. They have the recipe down. I think it is a little sacrilegious that they have all these alternative dips, but I guess they need to accommodate west coast tastes. Me, I am a purist.
I will absolutely be going out of my way on Thursdays to find these guys. A taste of the old neighborhood here in socal!

Okay, these Philly soft pretzels are the real deal. They taste perfect, exactly like Philly. No weird ass heart shapes here. These pretzels are oblong and again, exactly the same as in Philly. I was born and raised there. They also have Italian Water ice which is the bomb as well. Casey and Bob are cool as hell too. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

Coming from a Philadelphian, their pretzels are legit. They have the right texture and flavor you would suspect. Havent tried their water ice yet, but I am going to give that a shot this weekend. I with they were in my area more often!

Dana M’s review kinda said it all. Spot-​on recreation of old-​school Philly soft pretzels. These have a transportive property that’s hard to appreciate unless you grew up in the Delaware Valley yet this hard-​working husband and wife team have developed a loyal following among the Odyssey-​drivers and their minions. Me? I buy ‘em ten at a time and freeze ‘em — eating one for breakfast every morning. Yes, I have bread issues.
As another reviewer mentioned, their holiday cookies that resemble Christmas tree ornaments are really an amazing little bit of food science. I gave some as gifts last year and the people I sent them to immediately bought more as gifts — they’re that cool.
Their pretzels have few ingredients but I can taste the love.

These pretzels are so authentic, you can’t find them in Philly. I know, sounds like a contradiction, right? Here’s the rub:
When I was little, you could get a soft pretzel on every corner in the city of Philadelphia. They were good, they were fresh (ish), they were good. THEY WERE SO GOOD. You could find them in Wawa stores, too.
And then in the last 5 or 10 years, they started changing. The wrapping was the first thing I noticed. They, ahem, got more hygienic. One would think this is a good thing (I mean, it is, I know it is), but for me it was the signal of the death of the soft pretzel as we knew it. It wasn’t fresh anymore; there was no way to tell if the pretzel was baked that day or earlier that week. It had _​preservatives_​in it, so we couldn’t tell anymore. As I write this, I realize it probably already had preservatives in it, but this does not negate the definitive change. The soft pretzel became longer lasting and gave up some of its character and some of its taste. Like it made a pact with the food preservative devil. Sigh.
So anyway, this truck, they do it right. I’m not kidding. Fresh pretzels that taste like they were baked today. Which probably means yesterday. But certainly doesn’t mean last week!
And the operation’s efficient, to get as many schoolchildren in and out as quick as possible to maximize those dollars.
Pretzels are $ 1 each, jumbo pretzels are $ 2, cinnamon pretzels are $ 2, and extra sauces (nacho or sugar) are $.50. Wish they had whiz, but it’s not like you really need it with such a good pretzel. Ketchup and mustard are free of course.

Originally from South Jersey and have been packing away soft pretzels on every trip back to San Diego or begging relatives to bring them. No more! These are the real deal!!! Awesome authentic Philly pretzels from an awesome husband and wife team! Ordered 60 for a taste of Jersey party and was not disappointed. These were the hit of the party even for native San Diegans. The best thing to come to San Diego in a long time!!! THANK YOU BOB AND CASEY!

Yum Yum… oh my, Going out to watch a band at the Belly up in Solana Beach, I got lucky, and noticed the Philly Pretzel trunk in front of me, and being from Philly, was bound and determined to see who belonged to that truck… After the evening watching the band, noticed the 2 that walked out of the truck, walked up to them, and asked if they were the owners of the truck, and honest, the most awesome couple, after a hour of chatting, maybe 2 pretzels later, I felt like they were my long lost friends from Phila. Very generous, fun, and realize, the people from Phila., Love these pretzels. Before a outtling tonight, I called them, and went and got, gosh 15 pretzel to take, they were the hit, of course 2 down, by the time I got there… Awesome, love them. Carb lovers always appreciate a good pretzel. And this place definitely satisifes.
The pretzels here are crisp on the outside, and chewy and feathery soft on the inside. They are seasoned with ample salt crystals and dippings are either a buttery sauce, nacho cheese sauce, or the best of all — plain ‘olé mustard.
They have large «sticks» for $ 2, and a regular pretzel shape for $ 2, as well as a «$ 1» option which is figure 8 shape and slightly smaller in size.
The pretzels are all pre-​made and kept on baking racks within the food-​truck. It is fresh for sure.
Can’t wait to run into the food-​truck again to have this wonderful pretzel.

If you are looking for the real deal Philly Style pretzel, or just a damn good pretzel in general, then you have to try one from Philly Company Inc. They are baked fresh daily, perfect crispy salty on the outside, delightfully chewy on the inside. Eaten at room temp with a squirt of yellow mustard and nothing could be finer. Sure you could try one of those dairy and butter fat filled versions, but these will get you all the flavor without killing your wasteline!!! They are just getting ramped up so look for them on twitter or give a call and pick them up on site at their bakery! (which i did and recommend, nothing like a fresh baked bagel). They also do orders for special occasions, b’days, work and holiday events… I’m taking advantage of their 25 for $ 20 Super bowl special. If you want something unique, not all dressed up or overdone and just plain delicious you have to try a Philly Co pretzel… trust me you won’t be disappointed!!!
