Phil-Am Barber Shop

OK well it’s Sunday and the Are open that deserves half a star. But I have to give at least one star which is not good. I would love to give no stars I walked in and asked if they could shave the back of my head I want to faded but they said «no we only work on men!» I’m sorry I forgot we were in the 1940s and 1950s very disappointed I will boycott this barbershop. He glared at me like if I was a monster who took his top Ramen.

My boyfriend is a marine and visits from Pendleton weekly. He has to report to work with a «fresh» haircut so he always gets his haircut on Sunday which tends to be a little difficult because most barbers are closed. Anyway we were heading toward the base in Imperial Beach but noticed this barber shop mainly because I wanted to go to the 7eleven. Usually we have bad experiences from most barber shops here either it being a long wait or the barber doing a lousy job but today it was different. My boyfriend just got a fade but it was super quick and clean! Plus a hot towel and good smelling powder after! He was happy with the results (: totally worth the money! $ 13! 10 for the fade and a 3 dollar tip. Great and friendly barber! We plan on coming here now rather than getting haircuts on base or throughout the town (:

If this is the barber I think it is by Cvs, Subway and Gamestop. Then this is the worst barber I have ever been to. I took my four year old son here because my dad recommended me, said it was cheap. He was right it is cheap, cheap service. My sons does not get haircuts every two weeks but is a boy so does need haircuts often. I admit he gets scared of the noise and when the some strange lady is trying to hold his head down it scares him more. But this b1tch kept geting frustrated, saying sh1t and could not do her job. Being a woman and all you would think she has more patience and could handle kids, other barbers took care of my son. But this lady wanted a stranger, a customer to hold my son down. Are you kidding me! Plus she fu*ked up his hair. Cheap price ya! But bad service and will never go there again or never recommened to anyone.
