Upgraded to a 50 gallon from a 40 gallon, was quoted $ 979 + parts but when the tech got there the lowest price was $ 1900 (range was $ 1900 to $ 5800). I waived the permit and took the $ 50 coupon from the sticker that came in the mail and had the unit installed. The following week I spoke with Chris the manager at their corporate office in Santa Clarita requesting an explanation of the quoted price and the pricing the tech had. Chris was all too quick to offer me another $ 100 off «but I don’t have to» he recited three times. However, Chris never answered my question. I wasn’t looking for a discount just an explanation. If this water heater lasts as long as the last one I’ll be fine for 15 years but, in the meantime, I know who I won’t be recommending!

About 3 months ago we were having trouble with an old water heater so my husband called Payless Water Heaters. They sent Jacob out to replace our old heater. He was very professional and polite. He explained everything to us and had the job done with in two hours. I was filing papers and came across the paperwork and remembered that my husband forgot to write a review. I would recommend Payless and Jacob to my family and friends.

Jacob is the technician who installed our new water heater. Jacob was very professional, he explained in detail what he would be checking, the installation procedure and what we could expect with the final result.

Jacob from Payless did some work on a leaky tankless water heater through our home warranty company. Great communication about when he was coming from their dispatch. He was on time, had the expertise, diagnosed the problem, courteous, all that you’d expect.
After the parts came in he came right back out and got us going again. He got the job done, didn’t make a mess, and explained everything to us. I’d definitely recommend them.

Jacob came to replace my leaking water heater today. He was even earlier than promised. He knew exactly what to do and helped me save money. It took him less than 2 hours and says only another hour for hot water. It was so fast! The new water heater looks great and the new plumbing he replaced, a lot safer! Thanks Jacob for being so easy going, nice, and proficient! It’s not fun to spend a big chunk of money around the holidays for this but at least I got the best deal and didn’t have to suffer!

I received outstanding service today from Jacob from Payless Plumbing. My water heater gave out last night I called my home warranty company and they dispatched Payless Plumbing. They were timely in their response and Jacob my technician was professional, knowledgeable and a perfectionist in his craft he replaced my water heater and it looks and runs great!

BUT…watch out… I was quoted $ 808 for a water heater replacement (out the door) and it ended up costing $ 1495 (with a $ 50 coupon). I wish they were honest and up front about the hidden and extra costs!!!

Long hot day and many hours of work later, Jacob got the job done and we had hot water back working before we knew it.

We had a leak coming from the water heater. Jacob came out on time and assessed the situation. He came back with quotes for multiple things that we had asked, ranging from replacing one pipe, two pipes, etc. He was efficient, courteous, and friendly. My only reservation is the company that he referred us to for restoration and fans/​dehumidifiers got really bad reviews (maybe they get kickbacks from referring each other?) and he didn’t turn on the water heater before he left, so we had lukewarm water for a few days until we realized that it wasn’t turned on. Otherwise, would I call them again, yes.

No words can describe the outstanding service we experienced from this company. As we were getting ready to go out of town, our water heater started leaking all over the garage. We called Payless (on a Sunday) and they sent out Chris C. and OUTSTANDING technician! He carefully assessed the situation and after we figured out we needed a new heater, he installed it that same afternoon. He worked very efficiently and was very neat fast and clean. We are very impressed with their costumer service! I would recommend them wholeheartedly and Chris C. especially!

My 16 year old water was leaking and Jacob came to my house to install a new one. He was nice, fast and real. He didn’t try up sale me or anything, told me what I needed and put the numbers together and said he can get it done in an hour and half. When he was done I had water in an hour, he showed how to use the new thermostat and the instructions on the heater to trouble shoot. His workmanship was excellent and everything was up to code.

Unexpected happens! Specially with water heaters. Did not even think after 3.5 yrs i would need a replacement. But glad these guys are around. Eric came be first thing in the morning and got the unit replaced before i knew it. Eric was knowledgable and professional and a great personality. Got the unit replaced before i knew it.
