Pawfection Pet Salon & Day Spa

Took my siberian husky and English mastiff here for the first time, was the worst experience. When I picked up my husky (who I paid a hefty price for them to deshed) she was still shedding clumps of hair that is now covering my house worse than before I took her, on top of not even trimming under her paws. So I had to regive her a bath and strip her myself –what a waste of money– Not to mention when I went to pick her up she was in a room that said «conference room» FYI my dog isn’t for sale. It would of been less of an issue if they could have told me why she was locked up in there instead of just, «here’s your dog». And when it comes to my mastiff, all i wanted was a bath and a nail clip. her nails arent clipped and now im having to take more time out of my already busy day to do their job as well. Not worth taking my girls there if they can’t even do their job and do it right.

I love bringing my two fur babies here! It is conveniently located in my neighborhood. The ladies who work there are very friendly and awesome at what they do! I’ve been a loyal customer since our first visit!!!

I finally found a place I can keep returning. I was using a mobile pet grooming service before but it got way too expensive for me so I had to look for another place.
This place is very clean and all the ladies working there were really nice and welcoming. They got my little terrier mix groomed in 1.5 hours. Not only that, they are cage free which is a big plus for me. My dog hates being caged up and she gets anxious– so kudos to them for having a mini dog play area.
My dog left her haircut super happy and smiling. I’ve already pre-​booked her next appointment. Thanks Pawfection!

The groomers here are spectacular. I bring my maltipoo Chai here every other month and am always extremely happy with the results. They do a full service for a very reasonable price and also offer a loyalty program that definitely keeps me coming back and opting in for more services to pamper my dog. I also am aware that my dog is a handful, especially when being groomed, so I absolutely appreciate the care Pawfection provides.
To bring it home, they’ve got great customer service. I recently had to reschedule the day of due to an emergency and they were able to make a new appointment for my dog the next week.
I really cannot recommend them enough!

I’ve been taking my Pomeranian here for over a year and have always had a very good experience. Both Shauna and Carol have groomed my dog and I’ve been very happy with both. And Sophie is as happy as she could be with any grooming situation. I schedule at a time that I’ll be available to pick her up when they are finished, and I’m always called in about 1.5 hours for bath and trim. I feel very fortunate to have such a great place to take my dog so close to home. I give them my highest recommendation.

I have been bringing my 4 Golden Retrievers to Pawfection for as long as I can remember. Shauna and her crew are great. My dogs always come home looking and smelling wonderful. I appreciate that they aren’t caged up in a small area, and are able to be together while they are finished up and waiting to be picked up. They are usually ready very quickly, and I have never been greeted with anything other than pleasant staff. I have one dog who does therapy work so I keep him groomed extra short and I bring him often. He goes in and comes out with a smile. I think he thinks it’s a spa day! I am always happy to recommend Pawfection to my Golden Retriever friends.

pawfection is close to my house. they don’t overbook so my dog is typically ready for pick up in 2 hours. my dog looks great from them, but did get ear infection once. they give you a 15% off if you book the next appointment when you pick the dog up. full price is $ 55, I think, for a bath and groom.

I’ve been taking my dogs (a Sheltie and a Bichon mix) here for a couple of years. Truth be told, they are usually a mess when I bring them in. But when they leave they look and smell fantastic. Most importantly, they are not traumatized at all. My Bichon is a pretty sensitive (and stubborn!) guy but he comes back not upset at all. I’ve had bad experiences with groomers in the past nicking skin or doing something to upset the dogs, but never here. I highly recommend!

Very friendly and nice work. Normally my dog is very skittish at the groomers but they did a great job with him he seemed calm and relaxed when I picked him up.

I called in because we rescued a stray longhair cat (Tipsy). I called and talked to Carol. She was extremely helpful and informative, walking me through exactly what to expect for our first visit including any variables in cost and procedure depending on Tipsy’s skin and fur conditions.
I felt very assured from the phone call, and when we arrived Carol examined Tipsy and reassured us even more. We got a call an hour later letting us know she was ready to be brought home. We are very pleased at how well they cared for Tipsy and gave us even more information on what to do for her in between this visit and the one we will be back for next month.
I want to commend Carol and Pawfection for reducing our stress and that of Tipsy’s in this initial grooming.

Took my elderly cockapoo in for grooming today and they did a fabulous job. The shop is bright and clean; groomers friendly and my dog was happy and calm when I picked him up. He has gotten a little fussy as he has gotten older but they were patient and I’m very happy with their services. I can highly recommend them; great service for reasonable price~definitely the best place in Scripps Ranch/​Mira Mesa/​Poway area.

I was looking for a good place to take our adopted dog to groom nearby our home. It had to be good value (reasonable price, caring groomers and be consistent in their grooming skill). High stars Unilocal reviews, in addition to Unilocal deal, gave me the confidence to take my dog and try the bath and brush with added option of «shaggy to chic.» The lady who greeted me was all smile, warm and friendly. She had I believe her son that day to take care of. It’s not easy to multi task but she explained to me what our dog will be getting. The place also looked clean and spacious. I came back less than 2 hrs and my dog looked cleaned and smelled good. Not cuts or burns were noted. The only thing I look forward for my next appointment is the consistency of the grooming.

We rescued a very sweet bichon mix, Gary, about 3 months ago. He was found as a stray and was badly matted so was shaved all the way down before we got him. I bathed him weekly at home and did my best with brushing, which he didn’t care for at all. I noticed that he was starting to get some matting around his collar and behind his ears and a friend mentioned Pawfection Pet Salon being her go-​to for grooming for her dog, so I made an appointment.
When I called, the staff was friendly and they got me in just a couple days later. Shauna greeted us when we arrived, asked great questions about what we were looking for, and assured me (and my anxious six year old) that Gary was in good hands. Despite the fact that Gary didn’t enjoy the grooming, he looks great, smells like a lollipop, and is as soft as a baby bunny!
Shauna gave me some very helpful brushing tips for Gary’s kinky coat, and we will be bringing him in for regular grooming to get him used to the experience and keep up his gorgeous new fancy pants appearance. He gets compliments wherever he goes!

I had an anxiety attack thinking about where I was going to take my four-​legged daughter to get groomed in San Diego. We recently just moved back to San Diego. We have been spoiled by our friends at Pawty Palace in Katy, TX for three years now. I really wanted Tofu to have the same care and love.
Upon entering the salon, the groomer came out to greet us. She bent down and made sure Tofu was comfortable with her and asked all the right questions to make sure that Tofu would feel comfortable and I would be happy with the results.
I like that the grooming area was out in the open so that you can see their work. There is also play pins for big dogs and small dogs, so that they didn’t have to be kenneled. This is an aspect that I would appreciate at groomers.
Tofu came out looking gorgeous. Her paws here perfectly manicured. My only complaint was the price. It was really steep– $ 60 for a complete package. I’m used to paying $ 40 for the same services. I’ll probably be a loyal customer though because it’s really hard to find good groomers. And it’s only the best for my baby girl.

I just took my mini schnauzer there for the second time on Saturday. I came to them for a change and for better service. The other place I was going to hid their grooming area from clients, and took at least 5 – 6 hours to do the job. Made me uncomfortable. So, I went to them based on Unilocal reviews, and I’m so glad I did! I love the fact that they don’t stuff your pet in a crate and blast air at him/​her to dry. They are blow dried (gently) on the table and let into the play room until it is time for them to go home. They give them personal attention, just like you would expect at a human salon :)
The pricing is about average — $ 48 for haircut, bath, nails, ears, and teeth. Maybe a few dollars extra than Petco, but waayy better service. The staff is really nice and accommodating. I think my dog truly enjoys getting some social time in at Pawfection. They are great!!!

I have a Cavalier and Maltese who are both 1 year old. They are my babies and members of our family so I was very particular when choosing a groomer for them. I did a lot of research and visited several local shops. Pawfection is the only groomer I’ve taken my puppies to and I’ve been very happy and feel fortunate to have found them.
They do an outstanding job and I’m never hesitant to recommend them to others. My dogs always look great and they take very good care of them (they also smell really yummy when I pick them up). I especially like how they are able to run free safely in the shop versus being crated before and after they’re groomed. Their prices are reasonable, their shop is clean, they’re very professional and warm, and every time I’ve been in the shop it’s filled with the sweetest dogs and cats.
A couple of things to note:
1) Shauna is a true animal lover and an excellent groomer. I always hope that my little ones will be groomed by her because they look better. While the other gals in the shop are good, Shauna has a special talent and it’s noticeably missing when someone else does the grooming.
2) It’s common for them to not answer their phone and to get the machine. I find it’s better to call back later until you get a live person. It can sometimes be more than a day before someone returns your message if you leave one on their machine.
3) If you want bows in your puppy’s ears you need to ask for them, it’s not done automatically unless it’s during the holidays.

Pawfection is a great place to get your dogs and cats groomed! I noticed recently that they had moved from the shop on Scripps Poway Pkwy and found their new shop address online. I took my Persian cat there yesterday and she was pretty matted, especially on her underside. Shauna was so gentle with her and did a fantastic job of clipping those mats! I always trust Shauna to take great care of my furry kids and she does a great job every time. Her place is very clean and her employees are friendly and caring. I wouldn’t take my animals anywhere else! I HIGHLY recommend this groomer to anyone who wants great service and expert grooming!

My poor little puppy got ‘razor burn’ on his belly from his recent visit. And when I went in the two 20 y/​o girls working there acted like it was an inconvenience to take my money.
Easy decision to not go back there again.
