The Park-​2-​Park Shuttle connects the San Diego communities of North Park, South Park, University Heights and Normal Heights. We provide a fun, comfortable, reliable experience for people looking to see and do more in our communities. For now, due to limited ridership, we are an event-​based shuttle. History

Established in 2010.

The Park-​2-​Park Shuttle launched service on Earth Day, April 22, 2010. We started the parent company, Sustainable Entertainment LLC, to provide environmentally and socially responsible ways to enjoy our great neighborhoods.

The idea for the business came when the owners were riding their bicycles between North Park and South Park down 30th Street and thinking that it would be great if there was a shuttle that connected the communities. We have great restaurants and bars as well as a great arts and music scene and the Park-​2-​Park Shuttle is a great way to experience more without having to drive or hassle for parking.

We’ve been operating since April of 2010 and work with a tremendous partner, Sureride, Inc., who provides courteous, professional service and great reliability and allows us to bring a great entertainment experience to our neighborhoods.

Business Owner

My name is Omar Passons, I founded Sustainable Entertainment so that people would have more ways to enjoy themselves responsibly. We launched the Park-​2-​Park Shuttle as the first project for the company. I am a local attorney with a practice in land use, small business law, and public entity work. I am also the volunteer head of a local community group in North Park that seeks to improve the quality of life in our community.

My wife and I are San Diego natives and live in North Park. And we love being able to walk and ride our bikes to many great bars and restaurants. I’d really like to help create more of a local and national live music reputation for the area, especially cool independent music, jazz, and blues. If I had my way, we really would all just get along. I’m kind of a «glass is completely full» kind of person and believe too much worry just isn’t healthy. Does anyone know why this is no longer in service? I work for a graduate school and most of the grad students here love the bars of North and Southpark every year we have prospective students that come and apply for the school and this area would be ideal for them to get to know what San Diego is like but since most of them our from out of state ot even out of the country, the Park 2 Park would be ideal for out event. if anyone has any information of another shuttle or this one that we (the school) could possibly contact PLEASE let me know! thank you.

I rarely subscribe to SMS, but being a resident of North Park and that its slowly growing with independent businesses, I love that they utilize the opportunities to support neighbor businesses.
I was able to gain the guts to try out Street Side– see review, and also plan to try out URBN. .. excellent idea for our hood. Support the business, you can go from Blind Lady all the way to Bluefoot on $ 5!!! also 30 on 30th is an excellent opportunity to jump on the shuttle to get to MIHO (check out that review too!)
Props to the folks that run this, our goal is to keep North Park cracking, whatever you spend on North Park businesses I think like 10% goes back to our community. Let’s make sure we dont’ turn into a PB! please!

PUUUUUULLLLLLLLLEEEEAAAAAASSSEEE BRING IT BACK!!! I was greatly saddened to see that the regular thur, fri, sat service has been discontinued :-(
maybe raise your prices? Add a «group» discount ?? I personally wouldn’t be opposed to pay $ 10 buck for access all night… heck a taxi is $ 10 each way if you are going from NP to NH AND you have to wait forever to get a taxi, to boot! I miss you, Park-​2-​Park!!! Having the ability to go to «local» places I wouldn’t ordinarily go because there is never any parking, I don’t condone drinking and driving, and I sure as heck am not walking to NH from NP (who wants to walk down El Cajon in heels – NOT me – someone will likely mistake you for a hooker if you are «dressed up» in the least). Park 2 Park was a great way to enjoy the many flavors of the «hood» and connect the communities! Now how am I going to enjoy happy hour at Blue foot AND Karaōke at the Sodd AND meet some of my my friends at Lei Lounge or Bourbon street AND end the fun at the Whislestop all in one night!!!

If you live in South Park/​North Park & have not used the Park-​2-​Park shuttle, shame on you! This is THE BEST service: it’s inexpensive & will keep you from driving home on a Saturday night in a drunken state.
Plus, Omar is supercool, so what’s the hold up, people?

I love the Park 2 Park shuttle! I think that this is a great addition to our «hoods» and an affordable way to get around without having t worry about parking or driving after you have had a few!
Omar and his wife are awesome– they really seem to care about the community and making this work for the neighborhoods.

My husband I love the Park to Park shuttle.
We ride it for every 30th on 30th and whenever we hit North Park or South Park for dinner and drinks.
Omar and Erin couldn’t be nicer if they tried and they are always full of great tips on where to go and what to order.
They haven’t steered us wrong yet.
This has been the best find all year.
Kudos to a great company, great people, and great service.
Worth every penny, and it’s more than reasonable too!!!

The Park 2 Park Shuttle has opened up a whole world of fun in San Diego to me and my friends. We love taking the shuttle and finding out about great restaurants, bars and more based on their discounts for riders at participating local businesses and from recommendations of the awesomely friendly and helpful hosts. It’s almost too good to be true for anyone living in or visiting the eclectic neighborhoods: the shuttle services: South Park, North Park, Normal Heights, University Heights, etc… Enjoy it!

this is the bus i have been needing my whole life! okay maybe not my whole life but maybe since i turned 21! (which is a while ago) anyways back to the bus, it soooooo awesome… you cruise thru different neighborhoods for only 5 bucks the whole night! what a deal! no dui, no who’s driving?, no we have to call cab… ya get the idea

Can’t wait for Omar and Erin to come back in July! This service is fantastic — a great way to explore North and South Park. We live in South Park and probably wouldn’t get up to Blind Lady or Small Bar without it. The bus is clean and reliable and the stops are frequent enough that we don’t really pay much attention to the schedule — it comes soon enough to wherever you are. Looking forward to checking out more stops soon.

This is a GREAT service. The buses are on time, clean, convenient and Omar is a friendly host who seems to like chatting with the riders. I am so happy that this business exists to connect the North Park, South Park, Normal Heights, and University Heights neighborhoods, but so sad that it started up AFTER I moved away from Normal Heights!
My friends and I rode the bus to a couple bars, and then rode back to one of the women’s homes, and the process could not have been easier. It is also wonderful that the shuttle is teaming up with local restaurants and bars to offer discounts and special deals for its customers! The best part is that the shuttle has a really well thought out drunk driving prevention program, and it is clear that the owners take a lot of pride and really believe in the business. I can’t recommend the service enough.

Such a great idea. So convenient. There are a few places you can buy your ticket but the most convenient is on the bus.
It’s clean, the other riders are cool — what’s not to love?
We started at Blind Lady, went to Small Bar, Ritual, Hamilton’s, Vagabond, West Coast and Kadan. Next time we’ll probably just go one or two places, but we wanted to see how well they stayed on schedule, how crowded the bus would be etc. All good.

Omar & company really go out of their way to make your ride extremely pleasant and friendly… chatting you up about where you’re headed, where you’ve been…
we rode the shuttle from hamilton’s, to the whistlestop, to the pink elephant and back. hop on and hop off as you please, the entire night only costs $ 5! take that, orange cab!
i support everything about the park-​2-​park experience: cheap price, family-​run business, keeping drunks off the road, and cool owners!

What’s not to love about a shuttle that takes you door to door from some of San Diego’s best beer bars and amazing restaurants.
This is a business that should thrive on 30th st. where family owned businesses have really taken hold.
For 5 dollars, you can’t go wrong. Do everyone a favor, ditch the stinky ass cabs (which end up costing more anyways) and support this business!
I really can’t give a better review of a business. This service is seriously one of the few the community should rally behind as it helps everyone. Keeps our drunken asses off the roads, helps the environment, and showcases some of the most insanely awesome bars on the planet (ok that might be a stretch… but you get the point). and all for a 5 dollar pass that works till 2 am!!!

This is the BEST. I went out for a night on the town with my BF and we had an absolute BLAST. So fun, affordable, Omar is the coolest and we are recruiting more and more fans. Love it!~ See you on the bus!

OMG, why the hell did I not come up with this super awesome idea for a business!!!
Rode the shuttle last night and it was a blast and so freakin convenient. I bought my ticket at The Lafayette Hotel and then waited for the shuttle outside. We bought the $ 5 pass for one night and it was soooooooo worth it especially if you consider we avoided any possibility of a DUI.
It was awesome meeting Omar and his wife who are the owners. They were on different shuttles so we got to meet both of them. They are super friendly and super fun.
We went to The Station in South Park for dinner and beers (we got a discount for riding the shuttle!) and then took the shuttle to North Park and went to West Coast Tavern. After that we checked the schedule and took the shuttle back to University Heights. The last shuttle we took was packed so there was a total party feel to it. This business has a lot of potential and I hope it does well.
Oh and if you are a local artist they will advertise for you for free (I think I got this right)!! They have a video/​slideshow they play while your on the shuttle.

Many of you have heard about the Drink About shuttle on Wednesday nights. That shuttle is for free, and only once a month. Which for us lushes who love buses, is far too infrequent.
Drum roll please!!! SD Park-​2-​Park shuttle is EVERY Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 6pm-​midnight on Thursdays, and 6pm-​2am on Fridays and Saturdays!!! A one night pass is $ 5, weekend passes are $ 10!
Maybe I’m too excited about these prices, but I think that they are a good deal – especially if you are in heels or don’t want to get all sweaty walking, or if you dress «like» a hooker and don’t want to get harassed, yet again, by the cops while on your way to the Whistlestop.
This is especially great for us locals, who can walk over to 30th. But, it was really intended for those who drive to the area and can’t find a place to park. The idea is to use the parking garage on 30th street in North Park, and then shuttle your heart out to various restaurants and bars in University Heights, Normal Heights, North Park and South Park.
The shuttle runs the length of 30th street from Adams Ave. all the way down to Beech. It does a loop in University Heights for those who want to check out Small Bar, Lei Lounge etc. It even makes a stop at the Lafayette Hotel – hello Red Fox Room and Gilly’s!!!
