Overload

First time I’d been in overload and I loved it. It reminded me of all the skate shops that I used to chill at back in the day. I thought it’d be a good time to exchange some pants while the packers were playing. They had a great collection of shoes that I’ll come back for with the two coupons I was supplied with during checkout. Really hit home with the twelve year old kid trying to roast the employees. Overall great and simple experience I had trying to exchange a present.

Honestly number one thing that keeps me coming back here is the 50% off coupon that they give you every time that you go shopping. The employees are interesting and sometimes a little snippy snappy. They did this great 50% off shoe sale which was totally something that me and my friends took advantage of. Last week they had a sign up for this raffle for these new pair of Jordans. What is it I get a text message saying you won the raffle call to get your Jordans… I call and tell me to buy the shoes??? Really stupid just the raffle so they can gather all of our freaking information…
Other then that I’ve gotten a lot of compliments on the gear I’ve gotten there…
So… The store owner messaged me to explain the raffle deal to me… Or in my case the reason for having a raffle in the first place for that particular shoe. Only so many of the shoes are allotted at a time for stores to sell. Overloads way of fist-​bumping their loyal O’loaders was by giving us first dibs on a limited edition shoe, in the form of a raffle. As opposed to a first come first serve premier that from what I’ve seen never goes smoothly.
OVERLOAD doesn’t collect personal information given during the raffle or any other time, unless information is specifically stated to be used in that way, like an emailing list (which I’ve never been asked to be apart of) cuz IT DON’T EXIST… I hope this revise of this review clarifies any questions caused during the review.

This store is dope. The staff can be chill when needed and helpful when needed. No pressure. Love that. Great place for Jordan’s and Stance socks.

Great selection of Jordan’s… and super chill staff. He was really helpful and offered my boyfriend a buy one, get one 50% off deal! He ended up getting a second pair of 1’s for $ 50!!! So good. They also carry 9FIVE and Ray Bans sunnies/​specs, Vans, Nikes, skater shit and random Overload clothing. I’d definitely come back to purchase shoes.

Best place for shoes In the area. great deals on skateboards, accessories, and gear. They have a lot of brands that can be hard to get ahold of and they sell Jordan brand releases — they have raffles that end Friday and are a lot more fair than most other shoe stores.
Every purchase you get a buy 1 item get 1 50% off that can be crazy useful. Sometimes they have a selection of Jordans, Nikes, and other shoes that are sold out most places.
Me and my girl shop for shoes here together all the time and always head here for releases and have really good record of getting what we need!

Cool selection of shoes and t shirts ! If you are from SD you must check this place out I got a pair of Jordan 1 and some dunks I also have about 5 t shirts from here that say «North Park» so everyone always ask where did I get that… Now you know

Everytime I come here, I’m always greeted like a long time customer. I only found out about this place about a year ago and a half ago, but anytime I need to scratch my sneaker itch, this is my go to place. I recommend people just check this place out. And I’ll definitely be at their new shop once it opens up. I’ve only bought shoes here so I can’t speak on the prices they have for clothing, but the shoe prices are what you get at any other store. Wish I would have known about Overload a long time ago, but glad I know now.

I came in here with my boyfriend looking for… idk. He said it was an obscure part. We scoured all the skate shops at all the malls for miles around, and he was getting frustrated at the mall employees’ lack of knowledge of skate parts.
Well we come here since he lives in North Park anyway, and instantly we find what he’s looking for. Anyway, the staff knew about what he needed, and actually offered places to find them!
Before we left, I swore I’d write a good review. They were really friendly and helpful, and I’d recommend it to anyone who needs skate parts.

I only came in to browse but it’s a sure bet. They have a selection of shoes, watches, glasses and skating accessories as well as a nice selection of stuff bearing the store name and a bunch of Herschel bags. Pretty reasonable prices, or I guess what can be expected from a higher end shoe store.

Went to this place looking for a shop deck for a decent price the quality of their boards are great and the staff is super friendly and actually knows what theyre talking about couldnt recomend this place anymore.
They have everything you need at the best prices. Parking is kind of difficult. But they do offer random discounts which makes up for it.

Went here a while back to check out some shoes and was greeted by the owner a («ex roller blader»). Asked him about some shoes that they didn’t have in stock and he gave me a stare like i didn’t have money and then looked at my shoes like i wasn’t to hip for his store. I was like what a rude f***ker & walked out.

North Park has definitely turned a new page. Between Ray at Night, the intriguing street art, a slew of hipster bars and a fresh skateshop, North Park is no longer the seedy underbelly it used to be.
The layout of this shop is rad. It’s narrow, focused and streamlined. I’ve been to several Hanger shops where you could get lost in all the excess. Less is more and everything in Overload looks as if it were hand picked. I’ve always been a sucker for skate shoes, and the Nike display was practically glowing.
I spoke to Aaron and he was friendly and had a very welcoming vibe. He even threw in free hardware and stickers for me. This is a shop I will definitely support!

I went there yesterday. I knew what I wanted and found it. Plus I got lighted wheels. My daughter is going to love her new blue skateboard when she shes the sparkly wheels. Thanks guys for helping!!! Have a blessed Christmas

Overload moved!
The new spots in a great place and looks amazing. All the guys that work there are super nice. It’s got more of a boutique feel than a skateshop and I think for that area it’s probably a plus. We’ll see.
They have a wide selection of clothing, gear, and shoes. Worth checking out next time you’re in the 3oth & University area…

Great skate shop! Tons of the newest graphics tees, decks, you name it! The staff is really friendly and helpful. Love it!

This skate shop is dope … Very mellow no corporate asswipes wandering around, all about fresh gear and dope skate setups and a mellow environment

Ehhh… is all I can say about this place. The products are cool, average price and sometimes they kick in a t shirt with a large purchase. I shop here to support the local business. Customer service is really a hit and miss. Over Christmas the staff was really helpful (as with the majority of my trips here) with my purchase but recently I made a trip over to Overload and the sales guy at the register was obviously stoned. He was talking to his friends, dropping f bombs, when he rang me up he promised me a 25% discount (he kept saying «I know you, I got you») which I did not get, and I was over charged for shoes about $ 10.00 (which were on the $ 39.99 table). Plus he forgot to take out the display insert of the shoe! Little annoyed now. I will hit up this store again but I don’t think I will be as loyal as I was.

My boyfriend was looking for Rebel 8 clothing and after looking up retailers on their website, we decided to go check out Overload since it is really close to our house. We are both retail store managers and were instantly blown away by Robinson and his amazing customer service. He and Aaron helped us out above and beyond our expectations and we walked out of there with a ton of great stuff. They carry everything you can’t get at the mall for all of our favorite brands. My boyfriend picked up Rebel 8, Loser Machine and Krew tees and I am so stoked on the new pair of 9five sunglasses I got. I will be shopping here for all of my boyfriends gifts from now on. Thanks guys for the best customer service experience!

Good selection of skater clothing, accessories and skateboard/​skateboard parts! I personally do not skate but I can already tell this store has an abundance of skater stuff. The staff was super friendly and the inside of the store is very clean. Good selection of clothing! Definitely a high recommendation in my book. 5 stars!

Boutique Skate Shop at its Finest.
So I went in here for a simple set of bushings and a new king pin nut for my trucks and came out with nothing. The shop is set up really nice compared to the way the old shop was, and there is a lot more space. The shop has a very boutique feel with very fancy one-​off style skate shoes as well as a small selection of decks and trucks. There is a ton of clothing and shoes here which makes me think this is designed for the fashion conscious skater. Bottom line is that they did not have any bushings (this is a skateshop for Pete’s sake) and they did not have any kingpin nuts. I went a few stores down to North Park Hardware and got half the things I needed. Next time I need a new skateboard related item of clothing (which will probably be never) I will make sure to go back to Overload.
