Oscar’s Meat Pie Shack

Had an absolutely delicious meat pie while at the Tournament of the Phoenix this past weekend. I had the steak, jalapeño, and cheese meat pie and it was perfect. Crust was cooked perfectly and the meat was so tender. A lot of delicious filling.

I first found out about Oscar’s Meat Pie Shack when it was the featured food truck at one of my favorite watering holes, Surfside tap room. I had the Steak jalapeño and cheese, man was it delicious!!! Hot with a buttery, flaky crust. LOTS of steak, with cheddar and jalapenos. Wash it down with a pint of Ninkasi, I was in heaven. This will surly become one of those food trucks that I follow. You gotta thy it.

Oscar’s Meat Pie Shack was parked right outside Saint Archer and was the perfect treat to have with some beers after an adrenaline laced afternoon of paintballing next door.
There were several savory pies on the menu and I wanted to try them all. I hoped that they had sausage rolls or something else to try in addition too, but it was all pies all day. I had the steak, bacon, and cheese, and they had some other really good ones, like steak & jalapeño, steak & kidney, and lamb & rosemary. My super snack had a nice, flaky pie crust and piping hot cheesy, meaty filling. I didn’t get much bacon as expected, but still delicious overall.
The guy working the food stand was really friendly and helpful. They accept debit/​credit cards, so that’s a plus. I’m surprised that there wasn’t already a review posted, but Oscar’s Meat Pie Shack deserves a mention. This mobile shack is worth checking out if it rolls nearby you.
