We call it «Ocean Breeze Oasis» because this ground level, large ocean front property is a welcoming retreat with a refreshing seaside breeze in South Mission Beach.

You will experience an absolutely fabulous view looking out the large front windows and, from the patio, you can walk directly through the sandy beach to the waves.

The beautifully decorated, spacious living room and dining area provide a stylish and comfortable setting to make your vacation most enjoyable.

The oak hardwood floors and the high wood-​beam ceiling add to the rustic charm of this 1500-​square-​foot unit.

The master bedroom is quite roomy with lots of closet space.

Our beds have Italian linens with cozy comforters and pillows to allow you to sleep better than if you were in your own home.

History

Established in 2006.

As a child in El Centro, my family always spent summer vacations in South Mission Beach because of its beautiful setting and fabulous weather.

While we were raising our two children, my wife (Susan) and I also chose to spend our family vacations at South Mission Beach — always renting a home on the ocean front.

Several years ago, we were fortunate enough to purchase our own ocean front condo which we have named: Ocean Breeze Oasis.

Although we still frequently enjoy our own vacations at the OBO, we now primarily offer it as a vacation rental.

Unlike a hotel, Susan & I take great pride in maintaining and improving the property with many upscale personal touches.

Our hope is that others will share the same wonderful experiences that we have enjoyed at the beach and create their own fond family memories ~ as we have.

Business Owner

A second generation native of El Centro, I left the Imperial Valley in 1966 to attend San Diego State Unversity ~ and then decided to stay in San Diego.

After earning my Business Management Degree from SDSU, Susan (who is a native New Yorker & also an Axtec ’73) & I were married in 1971.

We settled and raised our two children in East County (Crest) where I opened my own business ~ DeVore Automotive ~ in 1979.

In 1996, we bought a small condo in South Mission Beach as a vacation home but grew to love the beach lifestyle so much that we sold our beloved Crest home of 25 years and to live permanently in South Mission.

Selling DeVore Automotive in 2006, we were so fortunate to be able to purchase our own ocean front home.

Built in 1952, Ocean Breeze Oasis was the first «full size» home built in South Mission Beach.

Its red oak hard wood floors, vaulted, wood beamed ceilings & brick fireplace (which covers the north wall) are all original & all add to its unique rustic charm.
