These guys did an outstanding job when they replaced all the carpet in my apartment on May 28, 2016, while I was still living there. It turned out picture perfect without a hint of a seam anywhere; it looks just like they brought in one giant sized, jigsaw puzzled shape and simply laid it down. I couldn’t be happier with it. The professionalism, teamwork and camaraderie of Bob & Al, the team who did my installation, are shown in their end result. Reasonable prices, great selection to choose from, and excellent service. Nothing but the highest accolades for these guys!

Came in on a Wednesday afternoon and wanted carpet replaced by that Friday if it was possible. They weren’t sure on the availability. I got a quote over the phone and came in and checked out some different carpet that day. Called me back the next day promptly with an update and to schedule for Friday. Really wasn’t expecting a quick turn around. The installer who came by was a nice dude and we exchanged some good conversation. I’m no carpet connoisseur so I can’t speak for the pricing but I felt it was fair.
Highly recommend. Great local ma and pa type shop.

This wonderful family-​owned business was a joy to work with. You cannot ask for more than a great price and amazing customer service, especially when dealing with large, long-​term purchases like carpet… Jesse handled our carpet installation and was so helpful, patient, and thorough, and made what could have been a stressful process so easy. We loved working with them and will always use them for our future needs!

This review is long overdo but this place gets it right from customer service to their prices. My better half and I checked out quite a few places from Chula Vista to Northpark and these guys are the winners, hands down.
Even after installation was complete we were called by the owners to make sure that everything was up to par and it was.

This company is the absolute best. Family owned and they take care of their customers years after they’ve earned your business. They’ve fixed my carpet years after they’ve installed it. No questions asked.

We bought a older home and had nearly all of the original wood floors finished, however needed carpet in our master bedroom. Mike and Kim were extremely knowledgeable and friendly at the shop, they made my experience great! Very impressed with the rolled over edge that meets the wood floors, the installation like great and the guys were very nice! Thank you!

North Park Carpets installed new carpet in my condo two weeks ago and I love it. The color, texture and whole purchase/​installation process were perfect!

I was coordinating a project from out of town for my mother and needed everything to fit in specific timeframes based on my travel schedule. They were great about answering my many questions ahead of time by phone, so when we finally came in to pick the carpet and vinyl it was all quick and easy. Pricing is very competitive with no surprise fees.
Everyone on the team is great to work with — both the salesmen/​estimators and the installer team. The installers were nice, fun guys who were pleasant to work with (I was cleaning rooms while they installed the flooring) and very knowledgeable in how to handle various flooring issues. The floor looks great and I know it will last.
Thanks again for all your help and your «we can make it work» attitude. If anyone is looking for a local business that provides you with the customized service you need … look no further!

Love North Park Rug & Carpet. I worked with Steve for this project. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. He came out and measured my three bedrooms, carpet arrived within the week and installed the following. The installers were clean, friendly and efficient. The job turned out great. For sure recommend them to anyone in the market for flooring. Store was clean and easily accessible. Pricing of the material was very competitive as well. Thanks for a great job! My husband and I are enjoying the new carpet.

Wow — really impressed with the customer service at this place. When I first walked in Jesse was helpful in assessing my needs/​wants in carpet and patient with showing me various options. He wasn’t pushing a certain type of carpet — simply helping me find what I wanted while staying within my budget. Steve came over to measure and was very thorough and kind. The next day I went in and met with Kim, one of the owners, who was helpful as well. We will be placing an order in the next few months as we have a schedule for home renovations. This will be the only place I buy carpet from due to great selection, prices, and customer service! Thank you North Park Rug & Carpet!

My experience was okay with these guys. I really wish I could give 3.5 stars. It wasn’t exactly a «yay» type of an experience, but it was a touch above just «a-​ok.» The salespeople are pretty friendly, and their selection is pretty good. They didn’t have exactly what we wanted but they had an acceptable alternative at a pretty decent price. The installation was okay, although we did have a couple issues as set forth in detail below. The follow up was okay, too and they did fix one problem, and offered to fix the other.
So the two issues were that (1) the installers caused damage/​chips all over the bottoms of our freshly painted baseboards when they installed our carpet, and (2) the wrong carpet pad was installed (we had requested an upgraded thicker pad), which resulted in a noticeable gap between the baseboard and the carpet.
I called and told the salesperson, Steve, about it, and he explained he must have overlooked my request for the thicker pad (I had emailed it) and they didn’t charge me for that one, but he could replace the pad on a different day if I agreed to pay the difference for the thicker pad. He asked for photos of the baseboard damage, which I sent, and he explained it probably occurred when they were tucking the carpet underneath using a metal tool. He told me they would fix that too. Normally, I would have felt really inconvenienced having to stay home for the installation of a carpet pad that should have been installed the first time we had contractors in our home, but I was home sick anyway so it kind of worked out. Note there is an extra charge if they have to move any furniture out of a room where they are installing carpet, and when I mentioned the inconvenience of having to keep my furniture outside of the room because my husband was due to be out of town for work (and furniture was a bit unwieldy for me to move in and out by myself), Steve told me to go ahead and move the furniture in and they wouldn’t charge me for the furniture moving fee. Which I did, and they didn’t.
They then returned and replaced the carpet pad with the thicker memory foam one, which made, in my opinion, a huge difference in the way the carpet feels, and also reduced the gap between the baseboard and the carpet so that it is barely noticeable. Steve also personally offered to touch up the baseboard paint, but he did not have any painter’s tape to protect the new carpet, and hadn’t brought any paint brushes or other tools with him other than a metal putty knife to protect the carpet from the paint. I had a small touch up paint brush but couldn’t find any tape in my house because I’m still not fully unpacked after moving in, so I passed on Steve’s offer to fix the baseboard paint because I was concerned it could inadvertently end up on the brand new carpet. I was a little bit disappointed with the lack of preparation given I had advised about the paint damage and provided photos ahead of time. However my painter (Inside Out Paintworks) very generously returned and touched up the baseboards for free, so it wasn’t really a huge deal.
Overall a decent experience, and the carpet is very nice.

I am expecting my first baby this winter & was in search for a large room rug to put over our hardwood floor & I couldn’t have been more happier to do business with Kim. The customer service was amazing. They not only have a great selection in stock but if you still don’t see what you like they have more choices they can order. Pricing is great for the service you receive. I love doing business with people who are specialist & love helping people. Thank you guys!

I hate to say it, but these people are cut rate, and I’m not talking about the prices. As an architect I’m familiar with the proper way to install flooring. They came up with excuses on every item I wanted to address with them. All with the simple answer «we don’t do that». Well, I don’t pay good money for an inferior installation. To bad, I always try to support local small business. Unless you’re a slum lord, I sugest to shop elsewhere.

These people are the best! Very helpful and accommodating. Excellent selection and prices. Bought an 8×10′ for about $ 400. Great return policy incase you dont love the new rug. And super down home mom and pop vibe! Cant think of anything that would make this place better!
