This store opens early which is nice but the prices are high and the Middle Eastern guy there is rude. Won’t be coming here again and will take my business to 7 – 11 nearby from now on

Great Beer Selection. Not so great staff. I know they deal with a lot of idiots and tourist all day, but there is no reason to be rude. You work by the beach, life is good.

Walked in here to a burly man greeting me from behind the register. A firm tone, firm knowledge, and sparkle in his eye for heavenly spirits/​libations.
Some of the beers weren’t priced but I forgave this oversight when I brought my 6er up to the register and the price was lower than my guess.
Large selection and great prices for being a popular main street location. Will definitely be back when I’m in the OB areaaaa! (Ocean Beach, come on ya’ll get wit da program playaz)

Needed a late night ice cream fix. The only place open at midnight… Check your expiration dates people… I bought a Ben and jerries pint that expired over a year ago. That is disgusting. They should be checking those and making sure you are not selling expired goods, that is a health hazard. Ice cream isn’t like liquor, it doesn’t get better over time… I gave them three stars because they are friendly and they gave me my money back but… Seriously check your dates…

I love this place! Better variety than Bevmo, they have everything! I have been searching for a specific beer for 2 years that I had once in Boston. I finally found it today! Seriously, the best selection of beer in CA

Everything you could ever need for a night of drinking. Great selection, decent sales, and man, do those black shelves make everything POP. Can’t make a trip to OB without stopping here.

I am consistently surprised by the selection at this place — interested in a specific, boutique indie gin from a Philadelphia distillery that you can’t even find in most liquor stores in Philly? Yep, they have Bluecoat. Tequila or Mezcal? There are over 200 different styles and sizes to choose from. Sheesh. Decent wine and beer options as well. A nice location, no-​nonsense staff. Solid.

Anyone who gives this place a negative review, in the dessert spectrum, is a fruit cake.

Insane prices. I walked in to buy a Lagavulin 16 year scotch.
$ 139.99.
It costs $ 56 @ Costco. I could buy 2 of them at costco with enough left over for a 24 pack of craft beer or a bottle of decent bourbon.
I don’t think I’ll be coming back.

It’s your typical liquor store, aisles upon aisles of booze, beer, soda, whatever you need. Nothing out of the ordinary, but I do respect how clean it is inside. For some reason, the beers I always want just so happen to never be in the fridge (but this can be fixed with a little planning ahead – buy your beer ahead of time!). Service is nothing to write home about. They are not really about the small-​talk, they just ring you up and you’re off (but sometimes that’s all you really want).
Best part about this place is the outside wall. It’s got a really nice, smooth surface that you can lean on while you’re waiting in line for Hodad’s.

At this liquor store you can buy everything, and I mean EVERYTHING. There are thousand-​dollar bottles of booze behind the counter and plastic handles of vodka and all sorts of things in between. Prices are great, selection is awesome. They had all 3 ingredients for my dark & stormy (ginger beer, spiced rum, lime) and they also have a great selection of craft beer, featuring heavily local breweries.

Nice huge selection of alcohol. I wonder what there electric bill looks like as they have the largest number of refrigerators I have seen in a liquor store.

I got a huge bottle of Vodka, 2 mixers and a few other items ALL under $ 20 bucks! Seriously. Can we get one of these liquor stores near my place in Orange County please?!
But really, this place is ALWAYS a must-​stop-​by when we’re here in San Diego (and visiting Hodad’s of course!). Their prices are AMAZING and they have a GREAT variety of your choice in alcohol ;)

I love how great this place looks after their remodel! Their beer selection is amazing. They have an ATM inside this location, so if you need money when you are at the OB farmers market, skip the epic ATM line by Starbucks and hit this place up.

Coolest liquor joint I’ve ever been in. They had a bunch of things I’d never heard of: Three Olives PURPLE. Starbucks liquor. Tons of tequila. I picked up some New Amsterdam vodka cuz it was from California.

Great little market located right near the beach. we usually stop here on our way to the beach. The have a good selection of beer and prices are not that bad. I recently noticed they started selling Dippin’ Dots Ice Cream. Can’t find this at many places. Nice looking store too.

This store stocks all the essentials for late night OB activities!
However, their location allows them to take full advantage of the laws of supply and demand:
They have the supply of beer I demand at 2am before scampering home after adventuring to the OB bars. They in turn demand a pretty penny for the supply (that honestly, I didn’t really need at that point anyway…)
The staff is very understanding that most all of their customers are under the influence of something or another and have always been great to me. Do not, however, try to walk around the store with a giant inflatable raft. The aisles are much to narrow and the store too fully stocked, plus the guys behind the counter really freak out. I didn’t test to see if they had a break-​it-​you-​buy-​it policy but wouldn’t recommend you do either considering their prices are more inflated than my raft.
It’s a great stop but you’ll pay the premium for the convenience.
Pro Tip: At the counter they stock ice cream and those little airplane bottles! 99 Cherries goes great with a Dark Dove Ice Cream Bar while watching the sunset from the pier. So romantical.

It’s a liquor store off Newport Ave so it pretty much has about everything you’d need for a day in this hippie town. From fake Ray-​Bans to rolling papers if you need the fastest fix for OB friendly items this place is a sure shot. It’s just not the most cost efficient so if you wanna safe some dough there’s a couple other spots further inland.
