History
Established in 1988.
Nelson Entertainment was founded by career DJ and Voice Over Actor: Tom Nelson, who began his career (1987) the San Francisco Night Clubs.
Tom branched out to mobile DJ service in the Summer 1987 as a partner with Sound Advice Mobile DJs and founded One Night Stand Mobile DJs in 1988 (our party & night club division); Nelson Entertainment San Mateo & San Diego was our Wedding Services division and in 2003 became our main focus and company name.

I love music, music programming, dancing and event planning. I love serving people through music and being a part of their buig moments and happy memories, it’s an honor to be a part of their lives because they’ll never forget that day they celebrated and I was a part of it.
This is not a job, it’s a joy-a career that got started back in 1980 or so when I got my first dual cassette recorder and started making mixed tapes for all my friends. It was back then when I realized how important programming and building the «roller-coaster» ride was to music on a tape/cd, the radio or dance floor.
The best feeling is a packed dance floor, happy guests-(dancing or not) and a happy client who felt you went above and beyond expectations at the end of the performance. I love being a Mobile DJ!
