Gluten Free — We know that being Gluten-​Free is important to some of our customers. We’re happy to provide a gluten-​free crust and gluten-​free ingredients. We take every reasonable precaution to prevent cross-​contamination. Your pizza is prepared in a dedicated prep area, with separate baking trays, utensils and our cooks wear gloves.

Vegan — We’re bringing Daiya to each of our stores. We don’t have it here yet but you can order any pizza without cheese for a great vegan option. With our quality ingredients, we know you’ll enjoy your vegan pizza.

Weight Watchers /​Diets — Finally a healthy pizza that tastes delicious. Our pizzas are much lower in points/​calories than you’re used to. A serving of medium pepperoni pizza is only 3 Weight Watchers points!

History

Established in 2010.

Naked Pizza started in 2006 in New Orleans, LA and has since expanded throughout the country during 2010. Currently there are 6 stores open all over the US and including Dubai with plans to have as many as 31 open by the end of 2011. San Diego PB is the first location on the west coast and is rapidly growing throughout San Diego starting with Hillcrest.

I’ll start with this… I’m not a tough critic… BUT…
This pizza was awful. I don’t know what else to say. It just wasn’t good. I will never order from Naked Pizza again. Even the crust was bad.
There are a lot of pizza joints in PB… cross this one off your list.

Their phone number is shut off and then we wasted gas driving there today. The store is supposed to be open on Sunday but they were closed and no explanation sign or anything. We have Groupons that are worthless now too. They suck!

Waste of time. Horribly run business. We purchased a groupon to use while on vacation, and the place was never open the whole week we were in town. Their phone number was disconnected and you couldn’t place orders online. Why sell groupons if you aren’t a functioning business? Thanks for wasting my time. I waited outside for half an hour for this place to open.

I really love pizza. The great thing about pizza is that there are so many different types to try! I’ve been here multiple times and have mostly gotten veggies or basic pizzas, but their original crust is delicious, and their thin crust is amazing. I like getting a personal pizza :)
Unfortunately, my main squeeze doesn’t like this spot because he thinks that the crust is grainy and too healthy.

First time ordering from here. I was excited to try it because they have antibiotic and hormone free meat among many other great things. I ordered a regular pizza with pineapple, sausage and bacon (which was later changed to pepperoni because they were out of bacon) and the cinnamon rolls.
The delivery guy wasn’t very enthusiastic which is okay I guess. No one is going to always be happy to deliver pizzas lol but it doesn’t kind of effect the whole delivery experience.
The pizza was okay, I’ve had better but it wasn’t bad. The one thing that stood out was no grease! I’m used to dotting my slices with napkins repeatedly when I order from most chain pizza places.
And then we have the cinnamon rolls… First, they looked nothing like the flaky rolls that are pictured on their website. They were super small and all of them were burnt.
I’m confused as to why they looked nothing like the photo on the website and wished they would’ve realized how burnt they were. (I will post photos)
Overall, meh food. Probably won’t order from there again but I understand other’s wanting to et there because of all the nutritional benefits and gf options they have.

Alright three stars because the pizza is damn good. But this place, according to Unilocal,is supposed to close at 11pm from Sunday to Thursday and at least on four occasions now I tried going or ordering at 10pm and they told me they were ‘closed for the day.’ Like alright if that happened once on a slow Sunday, I understand. But this has happened repeatedly. They should really stick to the hour they’re SUPPOSED to close or at least if anything close at most 15−30min before 11pm.
Naked Pizza, I like your pizza but you should consider just changing your closing time to 10pm cuz it seems like that’s when you tend to close anyway. Instead of letting us poor consumers think you’re open till 11pm on weekdays.

Y FAR my favorite Pizza ever! Granted, there are prrrrrobbbbably better pizzas out there, but certainly not if you factor in any sort of nutritional value! I absolutely love this pizza, tons of flavors, you can create any pizza you want. Variety is large and taste is amazing.
PRICE — decent, not cheap, but for the quality it is great.
TASTE — amazing!
SPEED — delivery less than 30 mins, memorize your address/​order = FAST!
SIZE — pretty big, and I can eat a lot
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Everytime was pretty quick.
Pizza was good. We ordered pepperoni, Veggie, artichoke/​feta, Pineapple, and your other usual toppings like onions and Olives.
The delivery guy was very nice and was very appreciative for his tip :)

Can the answer to veg-​friendly in Mission Beach be pizza? Yes, it can, at the franchise Naked Pizza, which offers a clean-​eating option for pizza lovers and happened to be my best option in walking distance while traveling in the area.
I had the mediterranean, made with the vegan Daiya cheese. I do wish they had used more so my pizza would have been as decadently «cheesy» as the other patrons’ appeared, but I was thrilled to see the cheese alternative as an option on the menu.
At Naked, the ambience is trendy fast-​casual, and you can build your own pizza from clean, fresh, responsibly sourced ingredients. Even the meat toppings are free of antibiotics.
The crust bears special mention. The taste and texture were perfect, and I could almost taste the absence of preservatives.
But the service was really the star of this establishment and what made my meal most pleasurable. While the place was pretty busy, all of the employees, from the person who took my order to the one who served it, seemed really happy to be there, as evangelists for a purer pizza.

I’m such a fan! Domino’s is always my favorite of the pizza delivery chains but it feels good to support a local like Naked Pizza.
I first discovered this place via a Living Social coupon, and i’ve ordered several times since then!
Love:
— Every time i’ve gone inside, it’s very clean and the staff are super welcoming.
— Sonoran pizza with sausage instead of chicken + add olives! so good.
— Staff always hooks it up with ranch or pizza sauce sides.
(I like my pizza like I like my men. Saucy. pahaha)
— Feels good to know that all the ingredients are preservative-​free and natural! Also, the pizza is never greasy and heats up beautifully in my toaster oven
So come here with an open mind and an open pizza heart, without expecting a savory, oily, food porn version of pizza. Expect fresh and yummy. :)

This is the best pizza in California, in my opinion. They have a whole grain as well as a gluten-​free crust. They also have great mozzarella cheese as well as a non-​dairy soy-​based cheese option, tons of meat options, as well as a variety of vegetables – all preservative free. The Counter is my favorite burger joint and Naked Pizza is my favorite pizza joint.
I first tried Naked Pizza in Nairobi, Kenya and am glad that the pizzas here in SoCal are just as good. Thanks for being here, Naked Pizza.

Despite being a more healthy variety of pizza from the crust all the way through the cheese and toppings, this may very well be in my top 3 pizza picks for all of SD after having gotten 1 of their large pies (see pic) and only waiting 10 – 12 minute for it to come out of the oven… I was blown away that healthier could be so close to the real thing. Little pricey yes as my pie cost about $ 20 but if health and nutrition combined with taste is your objective, look no further!

Making über healthy pizza über is like drinking non-​alcoholic beer… kinda defeats the purpose. Pizza should be a melty mess of deliciousness, not a cardboard-​doughy exercise in healthy eating. Just my opinion, of course, but I just couldn’t get into the veggie pizza here. Severe lack of taste. The dough felt damp, for lack of a better descriptor.
Kudos to the team for providing something approaching a pizza for the gluten-​free crowd, but if you’re looking for a healthy alternative to pizza I’d suggest trying something other than pizza.

Ew what a waste of $ 17!
I got a gluten-​free Mediterranean pizza. When they told me my total would be $ 17, I considered saying «nevermind» and turning around. That is WAY too expensive for a pizza. Especially considering I could get the exact same pizza with more toppings, for less than HALF the price at Project Pie in Hillcrest.
But hey, I decided to give it a chance anyway. It took about 20 minutes for 2 pizzas to come out (my friend got one too). How and why would it take so long to make 2 pizzas when we were the only customers there? Again I started comparing it to Project Pie… their pizzas are out in like 5 minutes max.
Once the pizzas were out, they were really hot and smelled good, so I took a bite. When I put the slice down, my friend pointed out a hair sticking out of where I had just taken a bite. I pulled it off the crust to look closer and it was 100% for sure a hair.
So I just got charged $ 17 to eat mediocre pizza with a hair in the first bite.
Great.
Before our food even came out, my friend said to me, «this place is a rip-​off.» He was quite right.

Girls looking for pizza but worried about carbs and calories?
This place has a 10″ pizza (which really is the size of a frozen Tony’s pizza) made with a thin multigrain grain crust. I got the veggie one and added beans for fiber and protein. It was filling, but not food coma inducing.
I was visiting SD for a conference and wanted a hot meal, but nothing too heavy. This place hit the spot. They should consider adding turkey/​soy products as protein options beside the standard chicken, hamburger, sausage.

I missed Naked Pizza when their location closed in Hillcrest. I am glad the PB location is still open. The best part of this pizza is all of the fresh vegetables you can add to your pizza and the probiotic crust is a great healthy option for a pizza!

Naked Pizza is supposed to be the new trendy, hip, vegan-​friendly, Earth-​conscious pizza joint for PB party-​goers with late night munchies. After a night out in Gaslamp, a couple friends and I decided to check it out and see what the hype is all about.
We arrived at 2 in the morning and were told that we can only get the large size. For 3 of us, we got an Omnivore and a Mediterranean. After munching on 2⁄3 of a large pizza, I was left hungry and feeling like that was just a light snack. I understand the concept behind thin crust, but their crust is unnecessarily thin and the large is more like a typical small. The ingredients were nothing special, and I’m pretty sure I could’ve gotten a better tasting pizza out of a frozen box for half the price.
I rarely eat pizza, so whenever I do, I think I’ll stick to the regular thick and greasy pizza that actually has some substance to it. Just because a place havs a trademarked crust with agave fibers and is extremely nutrition conscious doesn’t mean it’s going to taste very good or leave you satisfied.

Eh, it was alright. I think I like the regular pizza – the fatty greasy heart feeling pizza with tons of meat and thicker.
It was «healthy» the ingredients were a lot ‘fresher” but it wasn’t filling. I ate 4 and felt like I only ate a snack… and 4 was half the large pizza box. Large was pretty small. Maybe healthy eating isn’t my thing.
