My new go to for mani pedi and eyebrow waxing– they are super thorough and clean — I usually always try to make an appointment because there is not a dull moment here — the chairs are always filled. The price is on point too. they also give you a little card that guarantees that if they chip in two weeks from the day you got them done, you can come in and get them fixed !!! My only complaint is the that you cant tip on your card — they only accept cash /so keep that in mind :)

Cindy is the best! Does an awesome job and is super nice. She’s very creative and takes her time to make sure everything looks good. I’ve been to her twice and she will definitely be my go to nail tech from now on.

Everyone here is so friendly and nice! My gel nails stay perfectly on for three weeks! If I wasn’t so crazy about my nails growing out so fast, they would sure stay on for longer! Be sure to make an appt! they are always busy!

I went for a manicure. It was busy, but they managed to squeeze me in quickly. A gentleman(I think Kevin?) did my nails and he was so soft spoken I couldn’t understand a word he said. Also, I don’t think he understood anything that I said. The entire experience felt extremely rushed. I went in with long nails and I wanted to keep them that way. I was chatting with the lady next to me and I didn’t realize that he had trimmed my nails SO short, especially my ring fingers. It’s so short it’s absurd. I’m upset that he trimmed them like this. To make matters worse each nail is a different length and shape! He completely butchered my nails. I want to like this place as much as everyone else seems to but this guy SUCKS and I am so unhappy. Also, you can’t tip on your card, super inconvenient. UPDATE: I called them to let them know how unhappy I am with my manicure this morning. They were very apologetic and they did not sound surprised to learn that Kevin did my nails(I’m assuming that this is not the first time someone has complained about him). They offered me another manicure, which I will accept as soon as my nails grow back out in a few weeks. Will update then. Giving them two stars for offering to make it right. I’m hoping my next visit with them is nothing short of amazing.

Love love love nails 2000, i’ve been getting my nails done here for a couple of years now and every time I venture out to somewhere closer to my house I always regret it, every single technician at 2000 does an amazing job

I actually saw this design on Unilocal & asked SILA to do the same and she nailed it. She also has an Instagram page where you can see all her nail art designs at Sila_gelnails The gel nail I had was kiss the bride w/a silver glitter for $ 35. What’s good about this design is that’s it’s a neutral design so you can’t really tell when your nails growing out this you can expect it to last for 4 weeks w/o really having to go in and get a new set of designs done cause we all know gel nails are pricy !!!

This is always my go to place. I live in mission valley and have tried out numerous other places in San diego but never found anywhere this professional. My girl is Lynn. She is so good at what she does and always, I mean ALWAYS, makes sure my nails are on point. With her my nails never chip or break for weeks. Sometimes I come in a month to get a fill! Everyone is dressed in white coats with name tags. Usually when you go to other nail shops, all the ladies are busy talking, eating or watching TV shows. which there isn’t really anything wrong with but sometimes they’re just toooooo loud. I love nail 2000’s professionalism!

I continuously get my gel manicures and pedicures done here(every two weeks) and love nails 2000. I don’t use any specific nail technician, but each time I come(with an appointment made), I’m sat immediately. They don’t rush through my manicures and take the time to make sure it’s perfect. I’m picky about my nails, so I’m happy they’re able to fix any small imperfections when I request it. I’ve even come late(after closing) and they were willing to accommodate me. Nothing but good things to say!

This was my first visit for a gel manicure. Made an appointment with Kay based on previous Unilocal reviews. This place is great and always busy so be sure to make an appointment. The salon is clean and sanitary. Best part of my experience… this is the first salon I’ve ever been to that slathers sunscreen on your hands before putting them under the UV light. Kay probably gave me the best gel manicure I’ve ever had! For $ 35 plus tip, I got my first white ombré with a little sparkle and it was beautiful! The gel has a 2 week guarantee and she gave me a dated card with her name and the color used. I’ll follow up my review in two weeks.

I’ve had shellac before but not as good as this place! You pay more than other nail salons but the quality of their work really shows with how good your nails look after. My first time here was couple months ago a week before my wedding. I decided on a pale cream color and it turned out really really beautiful. Everybody was complimenting with how my nails turned out. Make sure to call in for an appointment as they get very busy. The shopping plaza’s parking situation is tight, just heads up. For the price you pay, it’s definitely worth it. It will last for a month. Best manicure ever :)

I’ve been coming here for a little more than a couple of years and I always come out with great looking nails! No other nail salon that I have been to applies sunscreen on my hands before going under the UV light. They also have a 2 week no chip guarantee for shellac nails. I always receive compliments from others how great my nails always look. This place gets packed real easily, so make sure to place an appointment ahead of time if you want a particular person to do your nails.

I came by here and did a walk-in and got a gel manicure by Vicky! She did a fab job and I received numerous compliments for the work she did. I described to her how I wanted a specific design reflective of the Air Force logo because I was attending a graduation and she did it on point. The ombré I knew I was going to love after being referred here from a coworker who gets her nails done here. The gel manicure runs around $ 30, plus with 2-toned ombré and my nail design brought it to a total of $ 40. It lasted long, and does less damage than acrylics. How crowded and full this place was is proof of how popular this place is. :) I want to come back here because it’s worth the drive. you pay for what you get, for a great quality manicure this is the spot!

WORSTMANICUREEVER. Avoid the guy named KEVIN with glasses. He does not understand English– which would be fine had he not been terrible at his job for the following reasons: 1. «Round» does not equal square. I asked him for round nails but he kept flattening them, each time making them shorter. I asked him repeatedly until the nice lady next to him translated it for him. By then, my nails were stubs. 2. «Oww» means your hurting my hand. He strongly held each of my fingers to the point of pain. I had to pull my hand away a couple times but he didn’t know how to be gentle. 3. The nail polish was sloppy and a child could have done better. He painted the middle but not all the way to the edges. At one point, lint or cotton got under the paint, so he cut it out with the clippers leaving a huge dent in the polish. He then continued to paint over it as if it was good enough. Are you kidding me? You’re supposed to leave a nail salon happy and pampered, but I left feeling angry and ripped off. The only reason this got 2 stars instead of 1 is because the lady at the desk saw my frustration, apologized for his lack of English comprehension, and offered me a manicure gift card. Nice gesture on her part, but I won’t waste my time coming back here.

My favorite nail place, ever! Service is always consistent, friendly, and fast. I always ask for Kay or Cindy for my gel nails. They have a ton of color selections and my gels usually last more than 3 weeks without chipping. I used to live down the street from here, but even since moving 15+ miles away I still swing by the UTC area because I can always count on the ladies here doing a great job.

My go to nail salon! Great service and reasonable prices. More than anything, wonderful results. Tip: Make an appt!!! This place is always packed! It doesn’t matter if you arrive 10am on a weekday or noon on Saturday, they will be busy. Lots of staff which is great and they move pretty fast, which has pros and cons. Make an appt to ensure you will be taken in and they take their time with your nails. I always get gel nails, they have a huge selection, but i always choose OPI or Shellac brands and they last forever. Guaranteed two weeks no chip too! I’ve had gels from here last 3 – 4 weeks! They clean out each pedicure station with proper tools and change the plastic for each client. In 2 years I’ve never had a single complaint, definitely give them a try!

First manicure/pedicure ever… And I am glad to have followed recommendation to come to Nail 2000 of UTC. Meticulous, pro and fast, the result is fab. The only drawback is that I felt rushed even if they took a good care of my hands and feet. Very large selection of colors, you better have to come with an exact idea of what you want! I might try a specific design next time($ 5 extra). $ 1 discount if you pay cash and you can also only tip by cash.

I’ve been going to Nails 2000 on and off since 2007. I am a fan of this Nail Salon. Tammy did my pedicure yesterday and it was very enjoyable. She took her time making sure my nails were properly shaped and the nail polish was properly applied. I definitely recommend them for your mani and pedi needs.

I got my first gel manicure here about a month ago. My manicurist was super professional and made me feel comfortable. I didn’t have an appointment but the receptionist was accommodating on a Friday morning. It can get pretty busy, especially on the weekends and in the late afternoons when people get off of work, so I suggest that you make an appointment before you go if you can! The experience started off with picking a color and a style. I brought in a photo from instagram and ended up with a pink french nail, which I liked at the time but now realize is way too simple LOL. next time I will definitely go with something a little more complicated! My gel nails lasted over 2 weeks, but my right hand’s index finger started to lift quite significantly so I took that one off with acetone that I bought from CVS. I wish that my nails had lasted a bit longer, especially because it was so weird with one nail naked(index that I took off) and the rest of my nails still on. Definitely bring in a photo or browse through Unilocal before going in, or at least have an idea of the color/style you want. There are so many options!!! :) Will be coming in again for sure!

Great quality gel/shellac manicure from Wendy. Cost was $ 31 and they guarantee no chipping for two weeks(will fix for free if you have any issues within that time frame). They take credit cards but don’t have a spot for tip, ask ahead of time, but luckily I had cash to cover her tip. Also, they get very busy, so an appointment is recommended if you’re coming during peak times.
