My Flower Shop

I called to have some flowers delivered for a very special occasion. I left it up to the owner to design it. This is what my girlfriend sent me after she got them:
Thank you the prettiest flowers and colors. I wish they were fake so they will last longer. The best florist.

If this is the flower shop near Baskin Robbins, your customer service is the worst I’ve seen. I stopped in to get some flowers to take to the cemetery. I walked in and there was a man sitting behind the counter and a woman playing around on her cell phone. They didn’t even greet me and asked if I needed help. Not a word. It’s a strange flower shop and the flowers were very unimpressive.

Maria was my florist for my wedding on Nov. 21 in La Jolla and she did an amazing job on our flowers at a great price that didn’t break my budget! She made 9 bouquets, 8 centerpieces, two large centerpieces, 8 boutonnieres and two corsages and much more! The flowers were gorgeous and still as beautiful a week later. She was always smiling and friendly each time we met to discuss my wedding vision. I’m so lucky to have found her! Thank you Maria! I will definitely recommend all my friends to you!

My flower shop did the flower for my Mother’s Celebration of Life. The flowers were beautiful. They delivered them along with a few other things she had that I needed for the service. The owner is a sweetheart and is doing what she loves. Her prices are very affordable. Thank you!

Maria had the most beautiful flower crowns made for my little girls 1^st birthday. I showed her a couple of pictures, told her what colors I wanted, and what I got was even more beautiful than I expected!

Very quick but pleasant and helpful service! I liked the selections and the clerk offering to tie me a bow was a very nice touch.

Maria deserves more than 5 stars. Reading the review below from R.C. — ??? Negative Nancy, I noticed she enjoys giving 1 star ratings and carry on with her pointless rants. The only 5 star she gave out of her 9 reviews is for a towing company. Woo hoo! Life must be so good on her end! (note the sarcasm) — so this tells me it could be the customer and not the company. I’ve worked in the customer service industry for years and sometimes well, if the customer is always difficult — it could be a possibility that the customer isn’t always right and is a pain in the booty. :) — Hope she finds some happiness along the way.
Moving on, just to be clear, I am NOT a family member or a close friend. We currently live in Ohio. Planning a wedding from out of town and across the country was not easy. Our wedding was on 09/​25/​2015 — from the centerpieces to the bouquets, you name it, I feel like we barely paid for the flowers she gave us — she went above and beyond with everything! When she dropped off the bouquets, corsages, etc… I looked at them and had to ask myself «did she deliver the right ones?» I don’t think I paid for that. My bouquet was HUGE and the bridesmaid’s bouquets! She even added a few pieces to compliment the bouquets. I requested single flowers for centerpieces but Maria added what looked like a small bouquet of flowers in each vase! Everything was above and beyond beautiful! I was a bride on a budget when it came to florals because well, I’m not crazy over flowers — they’re stunning and beautiful but it’s not something I want to spend a lot of money on. Like my now husband said in his vows, «I know to give her wine instead of flowers.»
Maria is the biggest sweetheart you’ll meet on this planet. She is so motherly and talks to you like you’ve known her for so long. I loved everything about her. Maria is self less and so kind. If you’re looking for talent, budget friendly florals, and someone who will exceed your expectations… you must call Maria/​My Flower Shop. She is amazing. I can’t wait to send her a huge THANK YOU! Maria has been my florist for over five years so naturally I went to her for not one but two weddings. She is unbelievably sweet and you can tell she really loves what she does. My first wedding was exactly the way I pictured it. I was so happy and thankful for her work. She helped my vision come to fruition which is so helpful to any bride. My second wedding is coming up and there are flowers that are not going to be in season locally which was a real bummer for me so Maria contacted a few friends in the business to find out how to get the flower I wanted. She is making it happen for me which was such a good surprise since I now get to have the look that I really want. I always call her to make appointments for different ideas that I come up with for design and she always understands and just goes with what I want.
If you want to work with someone who cares about what they do and is generous not only with their time but pricing also, this is the place to go!!!

So happy I was referred to Maria from another bride! I was trying to plan a wedding on a budget that my now husband and I could afford by ourselves. I told Maria I was having a small wedding and didn’t want anything too crazy or expensive but still beautiful. She listen to all my needs and gave me the most beautiful flowers! Josefina was very friendly and helpful over the phone. One of my best friends Grandmother, unfortunately passed away, and I wanted to send flowers to my friend the same day. They were very helpful over the phone and are also very reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend! Thank you Josefina!

I called Maria last minute for the first time to order an arrangement of sunflowers to be delivered to my mom in OB to congratulate her on her first Half Marathon. They turned out to be lovely and my mom was so surprised. Thank you Maria!

Today was my wedding day and all I have to say is that Maria is an angel!!! She customer made my bouquet with the flowers I had chose and personally delivered them where I was getting ready! She also made my husband his boutonnière and made one for my 9 month old son using Velcro! She is amazing and I absolutely loved my flowers! Thank you Maria you are amazing!!!

I love this place! I am able to get out of the «dog house» quickly when I call My Flower Shop! Luckily, I live about a block away so Maria will deliver for free to my place. I always just tell her my price range and to do what she wants. I have not been disappointed yet :). I try to do business with my local shops when it makes sense. My Flower Shop makes sense.

When my new husband and I were dating, he used to bring me the most beautiful bouquets and roses and he always told me they were from his secret flower lady.
So when he asked me to marry him, he took me to meet Maria, and it was clear we had to ask her to do our wedding.
Because I trusted her implicitly, I gave Maria carte blanche to really decorate the entire venue.
Our wedding was outdoors at a vineyard in Temecula.
Maria’s work blew everyone away. From my bouquet, to the succulent plants, the the table flowers, the venue was breathtaking. Maria is worth her weight in gold!!!

Maria is an Angel God put in my life.
About 2 months before my wedding day, which was in February 28^th, 2015 I was introduced by one of my bridesmaid to this little angel.
I was a bride on a budget and after going on a few florists in town I ended up deciding on doing it myself. I had research everything you could imagine and I became an «expert» in flowers, I did a few trials of what I wanted to do and It turned out good, but after meeting Maria, she told me, Sulany you are crazy, the day before your wedding you don’t need to be more stressed, I’ll take care of it for what you can afford, I couldn’t believe it bc from all my researches I knew what I had would just pay for the flowers, but she assured me she would do it for me and she did. Maria made 14 centerpieces, 6 bridesmaid bouquets, my bouquet, mothers corsages, arch arrangements, aisle arrangements for the chairs and petals for the aisle and for the flower girls. She made the arrangements, she lent me flower girl basket, tulles, aisle runner, for the price Id spend in flowers, wow. Yeah that’s real.
She does what she loves and she is an extremely honest and generous person. She made me cry a week before my wedding when she told I didn’t have to worry about anything. She understood exactly what I wanted/​dreamed and she made it happen!!!
My wedding was beautiful, thank to you Maria!!! I couldn’t be more thankful! I haven’t forgotten you.

Maria is amazing. Ive been going to her for years and its always a fun experience just to go in and talk with her.
I just had a friend at work that called around to 5 – 6 florists in the area and no one was able to accommodate his request. I told him «hang on one second and let me see if Maria has the time». A few minutes later, he got everything he wanted and is happy as ever.

This is by far my favorite flower shop in San Diego. Maria is so friendly and always knows how to put the perfect arrangement together. I take my 1 year old here all the time and he loves hanging out with Maria. Excellent flowers, great service and reasonable prices. This place is the best!

Maria is the greatest! She really took the time to understand my sisters vision for her wedding and her suggestions were amazing. She went above and beyond to find the peonies that were out of season and to hand pick the barely and hops for the grooms boutonnière. I would recommend her for any occasion big or small.
