Murphy’s Construction

I used Murphy Construction for 2 bathrooms. After finishing te job they did not clean up or repair minor damage they caused to the hallways. Additionally the quality of the work is poor. In less than 18 months the grout was coming undone and I’ve had to do several minor repairs. Overall the attention to detail was lacking, the subcontractors were inexperienced and poorly supervised. If you are looking for quality work that will stand the test of time, continue your search. I am getting ready to do a kitchen remodel and would never consider reusing Murphy.

I contacted Murphy’s via email to request an estimate to do a tub to shower conversion. I was contacted immediately by Paul the owner. I told him what I wanted done and he was able (and willing) to give me a «ballpark» figure as to how much the job would cost. We made an appointment for him to come by my home and do an actual estimate for me. He came by and he was pleasant and very professional and we reached an agreement. Work began as agreed and proceeded smoothly and on schedule. The job took exactly as long as he promised, at the agreed price and exceeded my expectations. Paul understood exactly what I wanted done and was very helpful in helping me choose materials needed. He stayed on top of the process and he has good, talented people that work with him. I will definitely use Murphy’s again and again for other projects that I am planning around my home.

(great site for ideas as well). I sent him pics, dimensions, and goals and he was able to provide a quote within a day. Really nice guy, really great price. As soon as we scrape up the cash we need, he is our guy!

We just had Paul remodel our bathroom and vanity and it looks great! We had an idea of what we wanted but he helped make it happen by providing recommendations and even came with us to Home Depot when we purchased the wrong materials. From the demo to the tile to the plumbing to the finish we couldn’t be more satisfied. HIghly recommended.

I used Murphy’s Construction last summer for (x2) bathroom & kitchen remodel. Seemed like a great guy at first and generally made me comfortable w/​the process in the beginning stages. Well, after we got into the meat of things, that all changed. His attention to detail and his mgmt of sub-​contractors was horrible. Numerous things made me uneasy and instead of putting me at ease, he would become combative and hostile toward me. While the work turned out to be fair (nothing turned out too horrible), I had to really struggle to get him to finish things up. He was rarely at the job site and would always put the blame on his sub-​contractors if something went wrong. The guy is wind up really tight and has very poor customer service skills. The ONLY good thing I can say is that he saved me money, however, I would have gladly spent my savings on a more expensive company to have had my stress & frustration reduced. I would stay very clear of this company.
