Mona Mofid, MD FAAD

Dr Mona is absolutely great. I came with a little list and she took care of everything right then and there. She is so sweet and gentle. She was on time and so was I. Thank you!

This lady— what a great presence. I feel really lucky already to have met several great, exceptional doctors in the last year since I came into the Sharp Healthcare family. Kudos to Drs. Allen, Levinsohn, and the podiatrist doing my foot surgery 34 hours from now, Dr. Feldman.
But a dermatologist requires a little extra in terms of personality, compassion, ability to cut through someone’s insecurities about their skin, etc. Dr. Mofid makes you feel so at ease so very quickly.
She’s also really good at all the normal dermo stuff, of course. But it’s her ability to cut through the apprehensiveness of being the new guy in her magnificently appointed offices that sets her apart immediately. She’s a keeper, this Dr. Mofid. Just don’t try to schedule your appointment when it’s my turn. :)

Wow! I ask you, at what other doctor’s office do you walk out with samples in a green polka dot gift bag… just another nice pleasantry by Dr. Mona! The office is like a peaceful spa and radiates warmth and kindness and impeccable care!

Dr. Mona is not only an exeptional dermatologist, she is the kindest, most compassionate physician I have ever known. I have been to many dermatologists over the years, but the experience with her is unique. She takes the time to truly get to know her patients and build a relationship. You will feel like a VIP and special friend the minute you step into the office. The front office staff is wonderful and check you in immediately, make sure you are comfortable, and personally usher you to a beautiful room where Dr. Mona comes in promptly. BTW, she just opened a new office location which is so beautiful and peaceful. The energy is amazing. There are never the long waits that are typical in most derm offices. The best part is the genuine service Dr. Mona provides. She takes time to find out how you are doing before getting to the exam. She makes you comfortable and spends as much time as needed, never rushing. I have a history of skin cancer in my family so I visit her every 6 months for a thorough skin check and exam, and she takes care of any issue right then and there. If you are looking for a medical partner for life who will care for your largest organ– your skin– she is THE ONE!

Dr. Mofid is wonderful and was a true lifesaver over the holidays when I came down with unexplained cystic acne overnight. Mona kindly squeezed me in during the busy holiday season and treated me on Christmas Eve. Within 24 hours of treatment, my acne had faded and my skin calmed down. And one week later I’m completely clear. Thank you being so responsive and helpful!

Dr. Mona and her staff went above and beyond to accommodate me. They fit me in immediately and Dr. Mona was extremely thorough. I’ve recommend Dr. Mona to all of my friends and co-​workers, she’s absolutely great!

I am a huge fan of Dr. Mofid!!! She is amazing. I totally trust her opinion and expertise. Recently, I needed/​wanted some sun spots «burned off» my face and I wanted to make sure it would be okay. She was totally honest about what it would be like and what I needed to do to be sure it healed properly. Hands down, she is the best.

Dr. Mona Mofid is Wonderful!
As a very fair skinned redhead, I’ve had challanges with my skin, since I was a baby. I was fortunate to begin working with Dr. Mona, through a referal from my primary care Physician.
Dr. Mona is both skilled and caring. She takes the time to know and treat me like a person. I would recommend her to everyone, with medical Dematology needs!

I went to Dr. Mofid to have an unsightly, large mole removed from my nose. (Can you say Witchy Poo?) I expressed my concern that it would hurt and leave a scar, but she assured me it would be fine and there would be little to no scar. Sure enough, I barely felt the needle being stuck into my nose and didn’t feel the extraction at all. I followed up a few days later to check to see if it was benign and was put on hold while the receptionist looked up my results. Who answered the phone? Dr. Mofid herself. She joked with me by telling me that I shouldn’t worry and that someone would have called me if there was a problem. Not only was I impressed by her demeanor and skill, but for her to take time out of her busy day to speak with a first time patient impressed the Hell out of me. She is truly amazing and as promised, no scar. You’d never know I used to ride a broomstick. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Mofid. You won’t find better service and care.

Dr. Mona Mofid is the most amazing Dermatologist I have ever seen. As a fair skinned, blonde, native southern CA, I have had dozens of minor and major skin problems. When I finally found Dr. Mona a few years ago, I knew I had found my dermatologist for life. Other derms treated me, but Dr. Mona enveloped me and treated me as if I were her only patient. She has even squeezed me in for a same day appointment due to an urgent rash recently. I have since referred more than a dozen friends to her and each one has reported back to me they love her. Dr. Mona, you are the best. Go see Dr. Mona and give her a hug for me.

Dr. Mona Mofid came highly recommended. My first impression upon meeting Dr. Mofid was «She is such an approachable, nice person.» Aren’t we all looking for a doctor who can instantly make us feel comfortable? Well, she’s the one. In addition to having years of experience and all the latest equipment, Dr. Mofid is never in a rush. She treats you like you’re in her family. Incredible! I love her staff too. And they love working for her. That says a lot about her character.
We all know doctors who, after having been in practice for many years just «phone it in.» You never feel that way with Dr. Mofid. It’s almost like she’s ready to invite you to family dinner at her home. I couldn’t recommend a doctor anymore than I do for Dr. Mona Mofid. I’d give 6 stars if I could.

I have been seeing her for a few months now for my bad eczema that I have been struggling with for years. I got started on a new regimen of meds– I have been everywhere in San Diego and no doctor has been as helpful her. She was very kind and the office is very warm. They are part of my insurance group (Sharp) and I have been really happy with all my doctors there too.

Just got a few moles removed. I feel ten years younger it was easy and fast great experience. I would highly recommend Dr Mona was the best by far I have seen or dealt with super nice and friendly.

Dr. Mona is wonderful. She’s very attentive and has a personality that makes the patient feel at ease. To me comfort with a doctor is crucial. I always leave the office happy and feel that all my concerns have been addressed.

By far one of the best experiences I have had. I am in healthcare myself and can have high expectations. I have been seeing Dr Mona since 2006 when the office was small and she has been amazing since day 1. The office staff is always very prompt and courteous. The new office space is elegant and you do not feel like you are at a doctors office at all. I really enjoy that although there is a plastic surgeon in the office I have never been forced or encouraged to do anything cosmetic. This is very rare these days and I enjoy how she is really there to look at your skin and not worry about a wrinkle. I highly recommend her and refer my own patients to her often!

I absolutely love Dr. Mona. When I first came to her I had dark marks and uneven skin tone from a hormonal imbalance and after three treatments with her my skin was amazing and beautiful and so even. I now get compliments on my skin all of the time. Dr. Mona was very caring, thorough, and I could tell she really wanted to help me and knew exactly what treatments and skin care regimen I needed. The staff is really friendly as well. Whenever I call, they know who I am and always greet me with smiles when I come into the office. Thank you Dr. Mona. You are a lifesaver!

Best Dermatologist in town! I was unhappy with all the other doctors I had seen for my skin — I saw Dr. Mona and she was the most thorough, personable and compassionate doctor I have ever met. She doesn’t try to sell you anything. She truly cares. Her office and staff are warm and friendly. It’s the nicest practice I’ve ever been too. The energy is great there

After having seen 3 other dermatologists in the San Diego and Orange county area I was referred to Dr Mona. From the moment I walked into the office her staff was warm, friendly and courteous. Within minutes of arriving there, I was escorted to her office. She instantly made me feel at ease. After having been to other dermatologist and being discouraged and misdiagnosed, Dr Mona was spot on with her diagnosis and treatment. Her compassion and caring was beyond my expectation. She took the time to talk to me and explain what to expect every step of the way. Thank you Dr Mona for your kindness and expertise.

I hate to sound redundant, but I wholeheartedly agree with the other (worthy) Unilocal reviews — not only is Dr. Mona Mofid a remarkable physician, she’s the whole package… benevolent, efficient and SMART! If you’re ever in need of a Dermatologist, look no further for there is no other who will take the time to listen, understand your issue (s) and work to resolve them to your satisfaction/​completion. I was so impressed with Dr. Mona’s level of care that I brought my husband in to see her and have referred several friends and family members as well. Unfortunately, I have a lot of medical problems and if I were to be granted one wish it would be to have all of my other doctors just half as caring as Dr. Mona.

Hands down Dr. Mona Mofid is the best and most compassionate doctor in all of San Diego. She takes the time to address your issues and is amazing at what she does. The office staff always has a warm welcome and smile waiting, and are highly efficient. They move appointments through their allotted times– I never have to wait! So pleased with everything about this practice!

Dr Mona is the BEST dermatologist in town. It’s no wonder the Union Tribune readers voted her the best dermatologist in San Diego. And unlike other dermatologists, she doesn’t try to sell you products. I saw that she went to Johns Hopkins medical school — the best in the country.

As other reviewers have stated, Dr Mona is indeed the best Dermatologist in San Diego. She is very thorough in her exams which is especially important since I seem to get a new mole every day. Her biggest strength is definitely her personality as her interaction with patients is warm and personal… I only wish I could have Dr Mona as my primary care doctor. My wife and I have numerous friends that see Dr Mona as well, and we only realized because we were raving about the dermatologist we have.

Dr. Mona is the best dermatologist in San Diego. Her peers voted her the best and that speaks volumes in itself.
She is not only beautiful but she is caring and really wants to help her patients.
She has helped take care me of isolated issues and each is healed flawlessly.
I have been recommending her for years to people I know and each person raves about her.
