Miramar Speed Circuit offers its guests a ¼ mile technical (1,500 ft) asphalt racetrack. This track is considered to be one of the finest indoor tracks in the United States.

The track boasts 3 hairpin turns, 2 straight-​aways and a longer, more technical course than most other indoor courses. The asphalt track is the optimum medium for racing as it allows the tires to grip the track and prevents sliding, allowing the racer to use their brakes less often. The karts, which can travel up to 40 miles per hour, are made by SODI and are equipped with Honda 6.5BHP engines. Each kart has computerized timing, which electronically records lap times to the one thousandths of a second, giving the racer detailed information for each lap completed.

Speed Circuit’s dedication to the safety of our drivers is always our number one concern. Passing areas and the carefully engineered barrier system ensure a safe racing environment.

We also a full featured 5200+ square foot laser tag arena with vests for up to 40 people. The arena is 2 stories with awesome interactive props, booming music, black lights, fog and more.

History

Established in 2003.

Miramar Speed Circuit opened in 2003. Sometimes people confuse us with Malibu Grand Prix, we are not affiliated with them. They were an outdoor track located directly on Miramar Road which was shut down in 1999 or 2000. In their model, they ran one kart on the track at a time for one lap, essentially a time trial. Miramar Speed Circuit is very different in that we run multiple karts on our indoor track at a time, it truly is racing. The ¼ mile track has very exciting hairpin turns and lightning fast straight-​aways on real asphalt. These are not bumper cars and they are not slow carnival type cars, it is probably the closest thing to real racing that you can find without spending thousands of dollars on a custom race car.

In 2014 we added a full featured 5200 square foot multi-​level laser tag arena. The arena houses up to 40 players at a time and a blast for all age groups.
