While they didn’t have what I need they were helpful in helping think through alternative options

i had been looking for a water outlet pipe in the self service yards for a couple days and could not find none, so i was referred to Middle East for the part. (They specialize in caddilacs)
I called, they asked me to bring the part in so they can see it, which i thought was strange he didnt know the part, or that he couldnt price it for me,. but OK, no problem.
Went there the next day. they open at 9 not 8 like everyone else, no problem, went and hit another yard for other cars im fixing
Came back about 930 and they were finally open. showed him the part and with out even askng a single question he went out and grabbed it. it was already puilled so they did know what the part was and had it ready. It takes a while to get this out because its buried under the intake.
I checked it out, it was near new. I was ecstatic. I knew my customer would be happy too.
Then the fateful question. How much. Now, i have been hitting these yards since the early 80’s. Im familiar with the pricing structure. Customary is ½ of dealer new. Maybe more if its a discontinued part. Dealer new retail is 111.00 i was floored by their price, which is why i went the salvage route. I was expecting 50 – 60 at the dealer and 30 – 40, maybe at the yard.
Well he quoted me 75.00 when i haggled a little he came down to 60, ok, but then the insult! he tells me its a discontinued part at the dealer. HAH! it is not. I told him it wasnt and that there were 2 dealers who had it in stock. he didnt say anything. then i told him it sold for 50.00 brand new on EBay (which is true) So then the next insult!
OK go buy it on ebay. he says… so i left.
In the end i used my commercial account at the dealer for a final price of 67.00 BRAND STINKIN NEW!
The moral here? Salvage yards are getting greedy. I will likely stop using them, or at least, not use them as much.
Other yards who will remain nameless for today are the same way. 45.00 for a coil pack that sold for 28.00 dollars at the parts wharehouse.
Starter that looked like iit had been drug though a grease pit 45.00 and it sells for 79.00 at the parts store and the store gives a lifetime warranty.
Junk yards in san diego need to change thier category to GREED YARDS

I was impressed with the help freely given in helping me with the power window motor, instead of trying to sell me the whole unit they suggested the switch may be bad, it was. They also informed me they go out from time to time. It was three days when this one had failed. Without any hesitation replaced it and installed it for me.

Warning! Do NOT us this company. They care about themselves, not you or your car. They cannot be trusted, believe me!

I was introduced to this shop by my mechanic 4 years ago to help me find replacement headlights for my 1998 Caddy Deville. The guys here are very nice and honest. Most places like to take advantage of females when it comes to vehicles. Since that day they have kept my car looking great from getting me a tail light to some interior parts. They also do the labor and if they can’t they will direct you to the right place. Overall for their convenience and prices they are the best bar none!

These guys are a rip off, plain and simple. They overcharge on EVERYTHING! I needed a swaybar of my 98 deville, which they sold me for $ 70! The only reason I bought it was because there were no other options! I also needed two sway bar links, which he told me normally cost $ 40, and this is for old, and worn sway bar links. He told me that since the only ones he had were not in great shape, he would sell them to me for $ 20 each. I was able to buy brand new sway bar links for the same price. Having a Cadillac, it is not always easy to find replacement parts, but if you go to this place, they will only try to overcharge you as much as they can!
