Rented here for a year. I live in the third floor with my apt facing 11th ave. Roomy units but be warned. If you live on the 11th ave side of the building, the garbage pickup @ 6am is not a fun way to wake up. No sleeping in since the loading area for movers and truck parking is right outside your window. Plus the homeless raid the dumpsters @ 6am prior to garbage pickup and camp out in the patios of units on the first floor. Not an ideal location for living.

I have lived in the building for about 4 years and have absolutely love it! All common areas are always pristine and the people in the building are friendly. The other good thing is that it is not a high-rise so you are not waiting 5+ minutes for the elevator like at Icon or other building in the East Village. I’m on the second floor so am not sure why people are complaining about the noise. If you have your windows open during a padres game yes — you will hear the commotion but thats part of living downtown. The windows in the condos are heavy so just closing the window makes a big difference and cuts the noise. If you are looking to live here it is a great spot but you are in a downtown urban area so sometimes parking is hard to find next to the condo and game nights get busy but thats why we choose to live Downtown!

Horrible building– don’t move here. No amenities to speak of, the gym equipment doesn’t work and is located in the parking garage. The place is overpriced for its location and lack of amenities. There’s no pool, jacuzzi, or grills. It’s situated adjacent to the trolley, so expect noise. Also expect of constant supply of decrepit characters & bums from the library and surrounding area. When the Padres play it’s absolute gridlock downtown. There’s very limited parking with no way to purchase additional spots. Also, if you park in the guest spots, they tow your car in the morning without notice. The management over reaches constantly. The HOA board is even worse with their overbearing rules. No guest pets allowed, you must register your own(single) pet, and if it barks occasionally expect a hefty fine. Would never recommend this place to a friend.

This is a beautiful condominium complex, and in a great location. The management does a great job of keeping the place secure and clean. Love the Zen Bamboo Courtyard in the front entry, and the community room with full kitchen living space and TV. Easily accessible and within walking distance to shops, eateries, bars… and PETCO park.

There are several things I think people should know before renting or even buying a condo from this place. You have to be able to accept the noise. The Metrome has the coaster train run right by the east side of the building. The building also gets a lot of construction noise from the Law University being built on the north side and the new city library on the south side. As well as Padre traffic leaving the city via 11th street which runs right next to the Metrome on the west side. If you are a light sleeper I would not recommend this place. Some other small Cons about the building are… No walk-in closets. Dog urine smell outside the building entrances. No guest parking and very limited street parking at all hours. No amenities, just a small gym Really bad fly and mosquito problem, there are no screens on any of the windows so make sure you shut them at night. Overall I do not recommend this place if you are looking for that downtown living experience.
