Menchies Frozen Yougurt

We stumbled upon this place after lunch down the street. I was pleasantly surprised by all their different toppings! The establishment was nice and clean. Their toppings bar was clean and well stocked as well. The gal that was working yesterday around noon was very pleasant and welcoming. I went with co-​workers but will definitely be back with my daughter to try the marshmallow topping.

as most froyo fans know, most frozen yogurt establishments are quite similar and don’t differ too much from place to place. self serve, about 10 flavors, most of the same topping options, and weigh to pay pricing. Menchies is no different but does have some special touches that made it more enjoyable.
for instance, they have a pretty good perks system which sends you deals through text every so often. thanks to the flash flooding and rainy day, I got a Menchies promo text offering BOGO free today which is we happily took advantage of. even my husband who swears to hate froyo enjoyed our visit.
I, as always, got the California tart flavor topped with their many fresh fruit options which consisted of mango, kiwi, strawberries, blackberries and banana. I love that they offer bursting flavored boba.
my husband tried the graham cracker flavor and made a sort of s’mores froyo which he really enjoyed (and it was free!)
the female working the desk was welcoming and friendly which is always a plus. the establishment was clean and had bright décor which we liked.

Fro-​yo is fro-​yo. I can dig it. Bring children or a date!

This is a great place for frozen yogurt. They had many different flavors and toppings which I always love. :) Also, they kept the it very clean and organized inside. Highly recommend.

Had a little drip down to Point Loma and I came across this amazing yogurt shop. I was please to be helped by a wonderful young lady which was very patient with me. I believe her name what (Shelly?) The tart flavor was awesome and I will be back!

My wife and I always go to Menchies at least twice a month. My absolute favorite is the tart flavors but there isn’t enough. I have only seen plain tart, green apple tart and black berry tart. Please bring in more tart! Other than that the place is great!!!

Strange to me that you walk around a circular counter to the back and put together your selection than making more space and spreading it out for optimum efficiency, but it works to an extent; that is, if you don’t mind bumping into everyone as they squeeze through each other back and forth. Toppings had enough variation, though quantity was lacking. That’d be good to guilt trip people into taking less, but then you’ll have to fill it more often and then add to a potential clusterfuck as you add the staff restocking. Mixed feelings, though it doesn’t matter how I feel about it when it simply gets things done. Addition to that, got some coupons to get me coming back, which I just may or may not do.

This is my favorite froyo spot. The employees are nice and friendly. They keep it clean. They’ve always got deals on Monday and Friday where you can fill your cup for just $ 5! It is so good. They’ve got 10 flavors of frozen yogurt and so many different toppings. You can have a different flavor on every visit. This is definitely a spot I will take the kids again and again.

This is one of our top favorite local froyo place. Super friendly staff. They often give the kids stickers and balloons. My kids ask to stop here all the time. They love being able to make their own creations and we love that there is always a new flavor to try. Very clean! Lots of options.

Talk about a place that will hit the spot every time you go! If your like me and have that nightly sugar desire than keep this address close.
I am down in San Diego for a business trip and after a dinner meeting with clients my co-​worker and I decided we needed to fulfill that nightly sugar desire. So we asked the Über drive about the best Frozen Yogurt close to the Marriott and we made it here.
This was my first time to this chain and its was a great experience. You walk in and it’s nice and clean with a wall of different yogurts and a big selection of toppings. Plenty of seating inside with air conditioning and outside wear you can enjoy the cool San Diego weather so you can eat your creation immediately.
I am always a fan of the Carmel and today was different. I also had to try the ice cream sandwich which was surprisingly good. I even convinced our Über drive who we bought a yogurt for since he showed us this gem to get ice cream sandwich. It was surprising very close to that traditional ice cream sandwich I enjoyed as a kid.
After getting my two favorite flavors a I topped it with some good old crushed Oreo cookie and a few sour patch kids. Such a good treat to end the day with.
May go back tonight… Just don’t tell the wife!

Frozen yogurt is frozen yogurt. I am not a frozen yogurt snob so I can’t judge the actual yogurt much, especially since I’m a plain-​Jane and solely get original. I can judge the topping options. I do enjoy the amount of fresh fruit toppings they have, and I like how their fresh fruit is cut into small pieces so it can easily be mixed with the yogurt. I don’t enjoy their lack of carob chips. I also see mainly candy topping options as opposed to a variety — nuts, granola, etc. Maybe I went on a strange day or something.
I do appreciate their $ 5 all you can fill yogurt on Mondays and Fridays. I don’t appreciate the shady people who were walking in and out of the yogurt shop throughout the time I was there. They would walk in and not purchase anything.
I do think he workers seemed apathetic towards everyone there and they seemed ready for their night to end. Service from them could have been better.
Overall, I would return to Menchie’s if I was in the area and was craving yogurt, but I would definitely take it to go. I wouldn’t go out of my way for it, however.

The yogurt is really good. I liked it a lot more than yogurt land but i think I’d prefer going here than yogurt land. It’s not as big as yogurt land or as popular but it’s definitely a must try if you are in the area.

Very clean, very good and one of the better locations. My kids loved the free stickers and cute spoons. Nice open space and patio. Yummy!

Would have given 5 stars, but they did not have toasted marshmallow! Great selection of toppings and low calorie yogurt. Join their frequent buyers club for added savings.

Need more variety of no sugar flavors, need mochi toppings and the guy who makes the cones didn’t wash his hands after he came in from outside cleaning the tables & scratching his head, poured the batter & place in bowl. No hairnet, gloves and handling food and money at the same time?

Aside from that, the yogurt is actually very flavorful. The peanut butter actually tastes like peanut butter! They have 12 flavors I believe, and every single one tastes spot on. Cake batter and chocolate are my favorites.
Toppings are everthing you need, but they don’t have fruity pebbles :(and i love me some fruitlins’!) Aside from the pebble-​less topping dilemma, they were all fresh and the area is always kept extremely clean — a huge plus! They have 4 hot topping choices also– fudge, marshmallow, caramel, and peanut butter! All are delicious…
Staff is always friendly and prices are reasonable (they have daily discounts and specials too)
Oh yeah– and they have DOLE WHIP!!!

Wow! The «ice cream sandwich» flavored froyo tasted EXACTLY like an ice cream sandwich! Thoroughly enjoyed taking my family here and we all enjoyed our flavors. Yes, it’s a little bit more expensive than some of the other froyo places, but you get free samples so you can make sure you get the perfect flavor AND they have $ 5 Mondays and Fridays and you can fill your cup sky high. I’m not sure if you need a coupon for this, but I saw the banner on the outside of the store. I went on a Saturday, so no dice. Totally worth the $ in my opinion. Favorite flavor was the cake batter flavor mixed with the coffee. WHAT?! It was bomb, get some.

I’m a fan because it’s such a cute, family friendly place. Clean, well organized, and lots of options to cater to whatever you and the youngsters feel like having. Can’t say I’ve been here for a party but I think it would make a great venue for a kids birthday.

Even though a little more pricier than most at .49 per ounce, I like the Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt very much… That being said, I had half of Dulce de Leche and half Vanilla Snow topped with crunchy almonds no doubt, being my favorite topping (

Both yogurts were smooth and creamy, but flavor wise, the dulce de leche had a rich flavor with overall hints of caramel and on the sweet side (
). On the other hand, the vanilla snow was a lot more milder, but with just enough vanilla flavor to remind you it was there (
). Both flavors were terrific with the nutty and tasty chopped almonds on top. I thought the vanilla and almonds went the best together.
The young ladies who were running the store were awesome. They were lively and very friendly. I like the way they made suggestions regarding the flavors and which toppings go with what flavors well.
