History

Established in 2007.

It all started in 1992 when a certain teenager finally got her braces off after 3 years. There was a little apprehension before the appointment, but afterwards total elation. Her smile was beautiful. This was the best day ever! The young lady will never forget that wonderful day and will always be grateful to her parents for providing her the gift of self-​confidence.

From that point on, an orthodontist was born. Dr. Melanie is thrilled to be practicing in her hometown. She takes exceptional pride in her work and uses only the highest quality products and latest technology to produce your perfect smile.

Dr. Melanie Wang is a board certified Orthodontist. Dr. Melanie (as her patients affectionately call her) is a local Poway High School graduate who received her dental training from UCLA and orthodontic specialty degree from Saint Louis University. She is an Invisalign Premier Provider. If you have been told you can’t staighten your teeth with Invisalign, don’t give up and see Dr. Melanie. If she can’t do it, no one can!

She treats both Children and adults and provides various treatment options.

Dr. Melanie and her staff worked hard to accommodate my personal needs. I was in need of a quick, specialized treatment to correct some issues with my bite. The «quick» nature of my treatment needs came about because I decided to relocate from San Diego to the Phoenix area in the middle of my treatment. Dr. Melanie made sure I was taken care of at all steps in the process. She even helped me get a referral with one of her colleagues in the Phoenix area ~ 1 year after my treatment completion to help me get a discounted repair on my retainer. If you’re living near the 4S Ranch area and in need of ortho work, I highly recommend a visit to Dr. Melanie!

Dr. Melanie Wang and her staff did an outstanding job on my teeth. Everyone always had a positive attitude and are the friendliest people I’ve ever met. I never waited in the lobby when arriving for my appointment, I was always greeted with a big smile and taken care of immediately. Dr. Melanie and her staff are gentle and cautious when dealing with your teeth, and I couldn’t have asked for a better orthodontic experience.

I’ve been going to Dr. Melanie’s office for a few months now. The office is clean, front desk is always upbeat and friendly and Dr. Melanie is great! I went in because it had been years since I’ve worn my retainer and my teeth were getting out of line. I walked in to see what could be done and my first impression left me feeling very welcome. Of course that shouldn’t be a big deal but from the experiences at other dental offices where they sometimes can be cold or treat you like «another number» I really appreciated the smiles from the front desk and her (the receptionist) willingness to be as helpful as possible. During my consultation they took X-​rays and pictures and we discussed my options thoroughly. Now my teeth are straight again and I couldn’t be happier! I would absolutely refer anyone who is looking for a straight smile and great customer service to this office!

This review is a little late since I first saw Dr. Wang and her amazing staff back in 2008, but I still feel the need to give these ladies praise for an outstanding experience.
I was 26 at the time and had a gap between my two front teeth as well as an off center bite. When I first went in for a consultation, Dr. Wang greeted me warmly and offered me a bottle of water and then we went into the front office and starting to talk about what kind of work I wanted to get done. After 30 or so minutes we had a plan of action ready to go and a date set. I was really nervous about getting braces because of all the horror stories I had heard from friends, but Dr. Wang assured me that she would do her best to keep me comfortable throughout the whole process. Well, she lived up to her promise and I had no issues what so ever!
If you have any hesitation about about getting braces, go see Dr. Wang. She will put you at ease and her staff is equally amazing!
If anyone at the office is reading this review, THANK YOU once again for making my experience with braces easy and pain free!!!

Highly recommended. The office staff is really friendly and professional. There are TV’s in the treatment area. It’s a clean, high tech office. If you live in the 4S ranch area this is the office to go to. I have known Dr. Melanie Wang for over 10 years. In addition to her strong educational background, she is very honest and caring.

Dr. Malanie and her staff are the best! I would recommend this office to anyone. The doctor and staff are very fun and friendly and great at getting your teeth looking good.

I’ve had braces twice in my life and was never wore my retainer religiously — so as I got older my teeth started to move and I became self consious of these little gaps in my teethy smile. I visited Dr. Melanie because she’s close to my house, to get a permanent retainer. From my initial consultation to the final product (my now perfect smile), the staff and Dr. Melanie have been AWESOME! They are super friendly and professional and went above and beyond in every aspect of my entire procedure.
I highly recommend Dr. Melanie if you are looking for an Orthodontist for yourself and your family!

Dr. Melanie Wang’s office is a great place to get your braces they make you feel at home and anytime you have to come for a quick fix they are always happy to help never making you feel uneasy, like when a wire comes undone or a loose bracket. There office has the best staff always smiles and laughs when you go there.

Melanie Wang is a great Orthodontist and the staff is really nice. I have both of my teenagers in braces and we make the drive from Alpine to Rancho Bernardo every month and I would not have it any other way. She has done an excellent job on their braces, especially on my daughter’s because she was a special case. Dr. Wang is always doing contest for the kids and has goodies to eat almost every time we go.
