Was looking for something quick and close to home to eat after work. This place is awesome! I got the chicken kabob plate and a beef gyro. Meat was flavorful and portions were good. The price was very reasonable and the man at the counter was very pleasant and gave me suggestions. Definitely a good find!

They have a basic selection for vegetarians with rice, hummus, pita, falafel. I was surprised not to find tabouleh or dolmales. Its more of a fusion of american and Mediterranean with some options like breakfast burritos.

The chicken kabob meal is a must. The chicken is juicy, the salad is fresh and the grilled veggies top it all off.

They have become a go-to for me. The food is surprisingly delicious. I typically eat vegetarian, and it’s often challenging to find Mediterranean/middle eastern food that has variety. Let’s start w/dessert first! The owner sold me on HIS home made baklava! He’s as passionate about life as he is his food. I recommend starting with the hummus, it’s so flavorful and perfect! I love the falafels which are moist on the inside and crisp on the outside with fabulous spices. The tahini was very well-made…yes! Finally, I had the zaatar flat bread which was cooked to perfection, not too oily — not too dry. YUMERS

Kabab salad and hummus is both filling and delicious. Great place to grab a quick bite if you’re in San Diego on business. YUM!!!

This is a perfect place to grab a quick meal at a good, fast causal Mediterranean place with really friendly service. Technically, it was described to us as a Lebanese restaurant, but it has a mix of Mediterranean dishes. As a gyro fan, we decided to share the gyro plate. It comes with rice or fries, salad, and bread they call noon(but it’s like naan bread). For $ 9.99, it was a very large plate of food. The gyro meat was pretty good and everything went well with the tzatziki sauce. If you check in on Unilocal, you get one free drink with entrée. However, the girl serving us was so nice, and she gave us 2 free drinks. I would definitely come back for lunch if in the area again.

Don’t order delivery. Late, cold, and no sauce or dressing! Dry salad is sad salad :(

The place seems to be in an okay part of town(off 6th avenue downtown). The ambiance of the place was very serene(once the screaming children departed), and the décor very contemporary. Upon checking in and redeeming the FREEFOUNTAINDRINKORTEA you receive, the girl was ever so gracious to also give my boyfriend a free drink as well :). Nowww onto the food: My boyfriend got the #9 beef/lamb doner combo which was roughly 6.00(not bad), and I got the #1 The Chicken Kabob Omlette for 7.00(not bad either). The food was absolutely delicious! My boyfriend even said it was filling when we walked out, which says a lot, because he has a cave for a stomach! The Omelette was HUGE and filled to capacity with chicken and onions and tomatoes and deliciousness… If I lived here, I would go time and time again. Only bad thing is there is nowhere to potty, so please do so before coming.

I get why this has a high rating. This place is inexpensive and you get a lot and it’s pretty darn delicious. I like their doners. GOODSAUCE! The lettuce is crisp, the rest of the foods are flavorful and plentiful and the nice man behind the counter alone, made me want to continue to patronize this place. So far, I have had their California beef/lamb and the falafel doner. I liked the falafel doner better, actually! If you’re in the area, check it out for a nice lunch meal.

I ordered chicken doner. It is very good. Size is big, lots of chicken with vegetables and no French fries inside, which I really appreciate. Personnel is very friendly. But I have one suggestion: to add extras to menu: hummus, French fries etc with prices.

First of all let me say the food is great. I got the chicken kebob plate as delivery and it tasted wonderful. The problem is it only had 4 tiny pieces of chicken in it. Like when i say tiny i mean each piece of chicken was the size of a broccoli. After i finished everything i was still as hungry as before. In fact i think i could have finished 4 orders by myself. So please Maza, the food is amazing but the portions are just ridiculous! You guys are better than this!

Excellent beef/lamb donner! Never had a donner before, but wow, it sure filled me up and the sauce was very complimentary. Also really liked the hot sauce. Parking tip: Monday through Saturday, if you arrive at/after 5:00, park in the metered spaces on the street, you can pay for an hour and stay as long as you want. Meter is only until 6:00 p.m. Meter parking is just $ 1.25 per hour also. Nice service! Oh, and I meant to share a suggestion with the owners — I saw a few people come in and then almost leave. I lured in two parties — the second party, a couple, seemed interested to try it but kept looking at the photos of the food on the wall. They almost walked out but I pointed out the restaurant has falafel and the food is great! They walked straight up to the counter! All of the photo menu items on the wall are meat items(yum!), but if a person is a vegetarian, they might just leave instead of asking if there’s falafel or other veggie items. Place a photo of falafel on the wall and you can retain those first timers! Many times people will not stop to read the board out front — too hungry and impatient like I was — and the little chalkboard up front can’t grab them like the menu photos do. I hope you might try it and lure in more guests to enjoy your food! I will return!

Did you know they have a secret menu? Neither did I! But a co-worker ordered the crazy burger(half lamb half beef or something like that), so I did too! Service wasn’t bad, we got ours to-go and the food came out in a timely manner. Pretty big burger, filling, it’s like a gyro but in burger form. The meat is juicy and not dry. Plus, comes with fries and a drink, not bad for under 10 $! Small place, there’s some tables scattered, but worth the try.

Tried the Unilocal delivery… Won’t be eating here again. My husband order the«kabob plate» which only came with 2 pieces of each meat. I got the«lamb» doner not lamb but gyro meat also the cucumber and tomato and sauce were all missing from my sandwich. So it was just gyro meat and lettuce. Eatable but disappointing.

My review is not so much based on their food but their management. Horrible experience. I placed an order for delivery for 5 people. It took them 2 hours to deliver the order. When I called to check on the other, the person on the phone told me that the driver had left a long time ago. Then I asked if the food was going to be cold since he had left a long time ago and obviously he wasn’t here yet. He said that his food was good warm or cold. Ooooookkkkk. When the driver finally arrived the order was missing stuff. Why wasn’t I surprised? The chicken kabob plate was cold, with rice and a salad and a nice tomato. The other beef kabob was also cold but still had a nice tomato and a salad. The gyros were cold but as I ordered them. The cheesecakes were pretty white so I’m assuming they were not chocolate as I ordered. The hummus was there as well although the pita bread was missing. I also ordered plastic forks and napkins and I made very clear that we needed this as we didn’t have utensils. Nowhere to be found. So let me put this another way. After waiting two hours, everything was cold, without utensils the luckies one that had ordered a gyro eat easily, the ones who paid more to get a plate had to break the container into pieces to use one of the corners as a «spoon» and be able to eat the rice then I ate lettuce by stuffing it in my mouth with my hands, survivor style, while the dressing run down my arm. Since we didn’t have napkins we used the toilet paper to wipe our faces(among other things), then after an attempt to eat the hummus without bread and with my foam corner-spoon I almost threw up my whole survivor dinner so it went to the garbage. Then the cheesecakes that we ordered to split among a few we eat them by giving them bites while someone was holding it with their hands. After this we were smelling like we were human-kabobs. I just wish this business placed more attention taking orders and fixing it when something is wrong. I called back to complaint and they just didn’t really care so their cold food might be good but they lost all of us as customers.

Small place. Affordable. Good service. Meter parking. There are also parking down the street. $ 10 for hours though :(. Expensive. Decent foods. Beef/lamb kabob came with a side of salad, rice and noon bread. The meats and salad were decent. Sumac seasoning made the rice taste even better. The bread was a little buttery for my tasted. Dessert was good.

I am always in the mood for a good wrap, thankfully this place delivered a great wrap. I picked the doner with the lamb and beef gyros, and a couple of baklava, one with pistachios and the other with walnuts( ). $ 1.95 each. The doner was a foot long and wrapped in a toasted flour tortilla( ), and the best part was that it was stuffed with tender lamb and beef gyros, plenty of healthy fresh Romain, tomatoes, onions, and a delicious house made yogurt sauce( ). I was very fond of it and the gyros meat. The meat just had a great flavor and great seasoning( ). The wrap was filling indeed, and I was surprised I was able to finish the whole thing. Well, not really, I do like to eat. $ 5.95. Both baklavas were very good. The phyllo was crispy and filled with a great honey flavor. The walnut and pistachios were very good and had great flavor(see). The gentlemen who work here were very enthusiastic about their product and provide very good service. Great Doner wraps…
