Matt Kalla – State Farm Insurance Agent

Matt Kalla was like a great neighbor when we needed him in house fire crisis. Everyone kept asking me if dealing with the insurance was grueling. It actually was the easiest part and comforting. Matt spoke to me directly often, especially in times of stress during the reconstruction and the process dealing with fire damage. His whole team was great. I have used his insurance for car and rental. You always hope you don’t need insurance. But when you do, you are glad to have state farm behind you and Matt Kalla and his team. They are all a pleasure and I would highly recommend.

I have a couple policies here and a couple with a different company and office.
A stark difference! Matt has very helpful, friendly and motivated staff and the company website and policy information is much more clear.

Next to Blue Cross, State Farm is probably one of the worst ins. companies ever.
I was referred to SF by my mother. She has been with SF for 20+ years. I have held my policy with SF/​Matt Kalla for 5+ years. Their customer service is absolutely horrific. I filled a claim after an auto accident and had some difficulty with the SF claim team. So, I went to Matt Kalla for assistance. He promised to handle the situation. After not hearing from my agent for over a MONTH, I called to find out that 0 progress had been made in regard to the investigation of my claim. He apologized for his incompetence stating that they were «really busy». So busy that they couldn’t even shoot a one sentence email to update their client? What am I paying for?

I’ve been with State Farm for over 20 years paying for my required home, car and motorcycle insurance. I needed their service that I had been paying for for over 20 years and they dropped me! State Farm is not a good neighbor! Also sent my 17 year old daughter to the office to give them a copy of her new drivers license so she could get insured on my truck and they said she was covered. Got a copy of my policy so I could shop for a new one and it says no other drivers! They are not a good neighbor and they are not there for me and my family!

I have all of my insurance with State Farm. They are the best!

My parents and now my family have been customers of State Farm through Matt Kalla’s office for quite sometime. In the span of two weeks, my 1996 Honda Civic was stolen and my parents 1998 Honda Accord was totaled in an accident. This review is mostly about our experience with the representatives at Matt Kalla’s office but does include issues that were resolved my other State Farm offices (claims office in Roseville, CA).
Matt Kalla’s State Farm office was responsive, helpful, and provided us the help that we needed, when we needed it.
First, regarding my theft, they arranged and paid for a rented car the same day that I reported my stolen vehicle. They let me choose the rental company and continued to pay for the rental until they concluded the insurance claim (turned out to be 18 days to finally determine that the car was totaled). They quickly updated my insurance and froze my charges while the condition of my Civic was being determined. Best of all they awarded me with very near the high KBB value for my vehicle.
Second, regarding my parents Accord, they considered the car totaled in a matter of days and had the check to my parents at the beginning of the second week after the accident. Again, my parents were given very near the high KBB value for their vehicle.
