Math tutoring and math enrichment for students in 2^nd-​12^th grades. We help students Catch Up, Keep Up or Get Ahead!

Our learning center helps math make sense and our qualified math instructors are specialists in the subject! We use sophisticated techniques to determine, with great accuracy, what a student knows and does not know. A personalized learning plan is custom tailored to the needs of your student, identifying areas for growth or where the next challenge can be achieved. Concepts, skills, problem solving and critical thinking are all addressed.

Students are encouraged to bring in homework or test preparation materials from school during a session. This added feature of our program sets the student up for classroom success.

We serve Rancho Bernardo, 4S Ranch and surrounding communities, including parts of Poway Unified School District.

History

Established in 2013.

Though new to the 4S Ranch and Rancho Bernardo communities, the Mathnasium Method has been around for over thirty years. It was founded on making math making sense to kids.

Math concepts build upon themselves beginning in kindergarten. As your student continues their «math path,» one of three outcomes will happen: They start to slip at an increasing rate, they hang on but need lots of support to maintain success, or they absorb concepts so quickly they require a challenge. From these outcomes, Mathnasium has a program that is just right for them. Our prescriptive learning plans begin meeting the student where they are performing and move them forward, always using requisite skills and bridging from familiar concepts.

Homework help, test preparation, and problem solving skills are also part of a Mathnasium session. We want our Mathletes to grow mathematically inside and outside of the classroom.

Business Owner

Karen earned her marketing degree and was in the corporate world prior to her life changing move to education. She earned her teaching credentials, and later her Masters in Instructional Media, with the hope of making a difference in kids lives. Years of elementary teaching, math curriculum writing and campus administration have made owning Mathnasium of 4S Ranch a perfect fit.
