Maryrose Griffith Event Design and Coordination

If I ever had any doubts about hiring a wedding coordinator, Maryrose proved to me once and for all how useful this piece in my wedding planning could be. She turned out to be one of the best decisions my husband and I made for our special day.
I live in Northern California and from the very moment I contacted Mary via email to ask general questions and to set up an interview, Mary made me feel at ease in planning my wedding. First, Mary set out to get to know us as a couple and also as individuals. She wanted to know our likes, dislikes, along with our expectations of her. Second, she took the time to let us know that this was more then a business to her. She explained that she tries to make every wedding a unique experience for each of her couples, an artistic expression of sorts– focusing on an elegance of themes and colors. Lastly she never showed anything but excitement for the droves of sometimes hourly emails I would send to her with the slightest tweak or mood swing or websites, magazines, and just plain babbling about ideas and sudden inspirations that I just had. She actually encouraged it and asked for more. It was just like having a close friend with talent for planning weddings.
But the real proof was in the event itself, no amount of planning and flower trips and samples could have prepared my husband and I for the ceremony and reception sites exquisiteness. I have watched wedding shows every Sunday for a year straight, and you can believe me when I say I was still stunned. Even my husband couldn’t believe so much could be done on our budget. The flowers and table settings– the lighting, the hall was transformed for the night into a unique space, reflecting our joy and commitment– an elegant space created just for us.
From the designing of the invitations, to the reception, flowers and décor; words really cannot describe what Mary created for our wedding. If I were to place my wedding in a category it would have been a «Platinum» wedding on a conservative budget. Our wedding was truly magical and more than I ever dreamed! We highly recommend Mary as your wedding coordinator!

In addition to the HOT gigs I’ve DJed over the years (opening for Britney Spears, playing Street Scene, etc…), the Notorious R.U.G. has also spun a wedding or two in his day. Sure, it’s not something I’d promote publicly, but weddings and special events are what keep working DJ’s afloat!
I’ve had the distinct privilege of DJing quite a few weddings for Maryrose. Honestly, she is the coolest wedding planner I’ve met. Most of them are uptight, fake, and generally bad souls. Maryrose is one of the most down-​to-​earth wedding professionals in San Diego. Additionally, she is pretty hip, so you can rest assured the Chicken Dance or Boot Scootin’ Boogie won’t be staples at your reception.
