I just got my first car (2012 Toyota Corolla) and had to go in to get an oil change for the first time. I was looking for cheap, reliable auto shops in my area and this place was the first one to come up on my results list.
I read through majority reviews and was wondering how this place was able to consistently get such positive, raving reviews. Today was the day I understood why.
The mechanic who approached me first was Max. He was very affable and outgoing. Then Kamal, the owner, approached me and was very concerned with my safety while driving the vehicle. Both provided such a wonderful experience! Kamal noticed that the stick for my hood was placed weirdly and had Max create a makeshift raft to place the stick in a safe position. They also checked that all other things were working smoothly and even cleaned the acid off my battery!
I was charged $ 45 for the oil change-​a pretty cheaper & fairer price than I was expecting.
I will definitely be coming back!

Best Auto Repair Shop I’ve found in SD yet! The employees and manager are super nice and fair when it comes to pricing and the customer’s needs. What I thought was a transmission issue turned out to be a faulty sensor. Thanks you guys for repairing the gas sensor in such a timely and efficient way :) I will definitely visit in the future!

Arrived to this location because i ran into the owner Kamal and he offered me service. took one week to get a day off and get to his business. .it was the best thing i have done on a day off. I was used to going to California smog on 3rs in chula but not anymore. He provided exceptional service and a fair rate. He was honest and exceeded expectations. This did not end there, his staff. expecially MAX! Was top notch and deserves every bit of reconition! These guys know what they are doing, i recommend this establishment for years to come. They will continue to have my services and i will recommend them everywhere i go. Good job gentleman. .keep up the astronomical work!

I live in Tucson but visit San Diego regularly and get oil changes/​check ups here when I’m in town. The customer service and knowledge base here makes me feel secure in knowing my car will be well taken care of for a fair price. Three years ago I bought a Lexus SE from the owner of the shop and couldn’t be happier. It was the most reliable used car I had ever bought. The owner was patient and went through with me all he had done to the car before selling it. My husband and I drove it across the country with no issues! Finally a couple of weeks ago we decided to sell it and actually sold it for more than we bought it for.

The owner/​manager (KAMAL) sold me a car that he as a mechanic, represented as rock solid. In less than 300 miles the transmission needed complete replacement ($ 2750), the front end needed to be partially rebuilt ($ 500), the rear hubs had to be replaced ($ 2500). I should have had it check by an independent mechanic, I know. But I thought the guy would represent the car honestly as it would reflect badly on his business if he lied. Not a very honest person.

This was place great and the old man who helped us was super friendly, helpful and quick. Totally recommend this place for an oil change and checking out the engine light to see if it is the good or bad kind. He diagnosed as the good time, checked our bands, provided an oil change and sent us on our way to drive the car one hundred miles to our destination. The car was sitting for three months so we wanted someone to look at it to make sure it was ok because the check engine light was on. Thank you magic lube. You rocked.

I don’t trust anyone else with my car, these guys are very honest and forthright about what your car needs and they don’t try to sell you anything you don’t. I come here for all my oil changes too, their prices are super affordable and they usually have it finished in about half an hour.

Honest and mechanic are rarely found in the same sentence, am I right? But it’s true of this shop. The owner came out to greet me as I pulled in and had a genuine concern for my car problem. The mechanics were friendly and even offered to show me what was wrong. 30 mins later and I’m driving away with my vehicle running smoother. First time writing one of these because this place truly deserves it. Came to get an oil change, no appointment needed. Did a great job and was affordable as well. The owner is AMAZING. Truly welcoming, charismatic, and all around a good person with integrity. I was going to clean my mats and he offered to do it for me! What the heck, that’s service you don’t see too often nowadays. You can tell how serious they take customer service. Totally recommend this place. 5 stars, no complains, no wonder they’ve been around for so long :)

Magic auto is great! Kamal and the rest of the staff are very honest and helpful. They will tell you exactly what needs to be done and what can wait. These guys are great. My expedition needed airbags suspension work. I showed up at 8:30 by 10:00 I was back on the road and my truck wasn’t leaning anymore. The price was fair and the guys that work there are friendly and took the the time to explain things to me and not make me feel bad for being a woman. I know a bit about cars so I know that I wasn’t taken advantage of. I’ve found my new repair shop.
