To all my brothers and sisters (white and Black) in San Diego, no matter the style, locks, dreads, braids, natural hair, weaves, cuts, Mae Bado is the absolute best stylist in this City. For someone like myself who is very hard to please, Mae Bado is an amazingly brilliant stylist. Yesterday I went in for a weave and cut. That was the second cut. Her first cut was absolutely beautiful. The second cut was done yesterday and much shorter than the first. Both cuts were so amazing I did not have to wrap or do anything the next day, but get up, brush/​comb it out and it fell/​falls into place every single time. Even more impressive was/​is most people believe it was/​is my natural hair, and it isn’t. Her work is comparable to anything you will find in salons in Los Angeles, San Diego, Atlanta, or New York,
Generally stylists can weave, but cannot cut weaves into a specific style and you have to go elsewhere. Not so with Mae. So if you’re looking for a stylist who can do it all, Mae Bado is the one to go to. She cuts, flat irons, curls, weaves, locks, dreads, braids, you name it, she can do it.

Finally… I been looking for a nice shop since I moved to San Diego. Stopped by and made an appointment for the next day after work for kinky twist. Mae is a master, very pleasant and enjoyable to talk with. My twists turned out better than I expected. I am somewhat tender headed and she did a great job with no pain. Several customers stopped in to just say hello or make a touch up appointment for locks. All looked wonderful. Price is similar to other places I have called. Will be a repeat customer.

I’ve been to Mae twice. Once for interlocks and again for French braids with a Sinaglese twist bun. She is the absolute BEST! She prides her establishment on providing first and foremost — excellent customer service. And her craftsmanship is second to none. I am very picky about my hair. I have to have the best. That said, when I want my locks done right, I don’t give it a second thought — I gladly make the 45 minute drive to Mae’s Braidery. You should too!
