Lorena is an amazing acupuncturist. She incorporates many different modalities into her practice. She is skilled with cupping, moxa, massage and herbs, and takes great care of her patients.
I climb several times a week and my shoulder tends to get out of balance and feel unstable. After a few treatments with Lorena the issue has completely resolved. Now I’m hoping to find another reason to visit because she is so pleasant to be around.

I was fortunate to get an appointment with Lorena when i was visiting San Diego with the family. I don’t have a specific ailment but just wanted to feel rejuvenated and also be prepared for all of my runs that are lined up for this year. She was attentive to not only what i told her but also to how my body responded. I’m actually afraid of needles, however during the session, I’ve felt so relaxed and after the session, I felt amazing physically and mentally! She truly knows what she’s doing and is highly passionate about what she does. She also gives advices and tips on how to improve health overall with food and also shares recipes. I came to Lorena because I wanted a more natural approach to my healthcare. I was having some occasional pain in my wrists (work related) and also wanted natural hormonal balance through acupuncture. I have been so happy working with Lorena and feel so relaxed during her treatments. She explains everything regarding her therapy and gives me a natural & holistic avenue to better myself. Lorena is very attentative to what is going on with your body and fully understands what type of treatment is needed to help with the problems I had. I’ve seen Lorena for multiple issues and she’s always been able to help reduce and/​or eliminate my pain. I’ve gone to her after my ankle surgeries, and she’s helped the healing process move so much faster. I’ve been to other acupunturists before, and they just ask you where it bothers you, and that’s it. Then they just start sticking needles all in the area. When Lorena asks you what’s bothering you, she asks more detail of when it happened, how it happened, and she feels different parts of your body to understand why I was feeling discomfort in certain areas. She would treat me, and even while treating me, she would try different areas to make sure the needles are helping or are in the right spot. Lorena definitely loves her job, and she follows up all the time. She’s always checking to see how you’re doing and how the treatmentment has helped. It’s unfortunately that she moved out to SD. When she visits NYC, i make sure I get an appointment in to get some treatment. I’ve purposely made vacation time in SD just so I can see Lorena and get some treatment. We need more acupunturists like her! You will not be disappointed!

Yes Unilocalers, this is definitely as good as it gets! Lorena and her magic whiskers came to my rescue after a few days of painful «tummy aches». I was told she’s great at her craft, she truly is. After a thorough review of personal questions and careful examination I was gently treated with these delicate «whiskers» and pampered in such a way to where I felt like I was having the best siesta session or mini vacation! …serene music, comfortable bedding, warmth at my feet and tummy… the subtle chirping of birds from outside was a perfect touch… and of course the much needed black out eye mask to complete my experience. It was relaxing and divine! I nearly forgot that I had these «tummy aches». Results for my situation were not immediate, but greatly improved and near 100% back to normal within a few days. I loved that she provided me with advice to follow this treatment-​different herbs and oils that would be beneficial in my situation.
I think it’s incredibly amazing how the body can heal in the hands of a professional acupuncturist, and Lorena knows her stuff. Her knowledge for herbal medicine and how the body works is very evident as I had so many questions that she answered without hesitation. Lorena has been treating me for the past couple of years for various ailments: flu symptoms, asthma attacks, low back pain, shoulder pain, my clumsy sports injuries and stress/​anxiety. I saw Lorena for surfing related injuries to my back and shoulder. She is amazing at pin-​pointing exactly which spots need attention and very thorough (I even got a massage at the end). She really takes the time to assess you and is genuinely interested in finding out ALL of the areas that need improvement. As a massage therapist, I often have a strain in my shoulders. Its obvious that Lorena is very skilled at what she does because she was able to diagnose my whole body frame, then correct my posture and mis-​alignments using precise acupuncture, massage. She also gave me post-​treatment exercises to strengthen my shoulders and back muscles to prevent my problem from returning.
The location is great too. The office is set up in a former house, it makes the place feel comfortable and homey. Each treatment room is clean and classic looking and an overall relaxing vibe.

I have been going to acupuncture since 2001 and my acupuncturist retired. I was open to something new.

Lots of light, warm and energy is a plus.
I felt pampered and cared for the entire process. What I love about my experience. Lorena takes a thorough check of your bones, blood and vitality. The room also smells so good of DoTerra essential oils.
She walks you through everything she is doing, asking you your needle sensitivity range. She found tenderness in areas I did not know existed around my neck and lower back.
To top it off, I felt like in a spa and you get a little massage at the end of the session.

I met Lorena in New York City and she treated the pain I had with my arthritis and my torn rotator cuff. I felt less pain immediately and had more visits with her. I have been pain free since meeting Lorena and continued visiting her for some facial rejuvenation. She definitely transformed me into a woman looking and feeling 40ish, my friends will attest to this.
