Dr. Linhkieu Nguyen is an experienced family doctor in east San Diego with a helpful, friendly staff located just minutes from work or home. We provide all of the care necessary to keep you and your family healthy, from check-​ups and immunizations to gum disease prevention and nutritional counseling. We now also offer laser hair removal and skin toning services. Our clean, beautiful facility is stocked with state-​of-​the-​art equipment, including our new Cynosure laser skin care equipment.

Dr. Linhkieu specializes in providing physical exams for DMV, school and sports requirements, and is an expert in managing developmental delay patients. Our office staff speak a wide range of languages, including Vietnamese, Tagalog, Chinese, Ilocano and Spanish, making it easy for you to understand the process.

Over the past 9 years, Dr. Linhkieu Nguyen has established herself as one of the most trusted doctors in San Diego. She is very knowledgeable and calm, and doesn’t rush through the process with any of her patients. Dr. Nguyen is committed to providing excellent service, and to educating her patients about their health. Dr. Nguyen was born in Saigon, now Ho Chi Minh City, during a time of political unrest. At the time there was little need for a young girl to be educated, but after witnessing how poorly managed the hospitals in the area were, she realized that she wanted to do something to make a difference. Until 1983, making a difference was still just a dream to Dr. Nguyen. However, in 1983 her parents brought her and her siblings to America. After finishing college in the States, she decided to attend medical school at Ross University. Now as a family practitioner in San Diego, Dr. Nguyen gets to realize her goal of helping people daily. She is heavily involved in the community, and has worked with the Hospice program, at a community nursing home and with young children at the Methodist Center.

Looking for laser hair removal? Look no further, Dr. Nguyen is the one!
Hands down the best laser experience ever. I am currently transitioning genders, and I reached out to Dr. Nguyen because I wanted to begin doing laser hair removal on my beard as I tried electrolyses already and that didn’t work. Tim and Dr. Nguyen were extremely accommodating and responded in a quickly manner. Dr. Nguyen texted me telling me that although it was a painful procedure that I could pick up a numbing cream from her which I did. The day of the laser treatment I applied the cream as prescribed and I started panicking! When I got to the location Dr. Nguyen assured me that everything would be perfectly fine and that if at any time it was painful she would stop quickly. She even put the air that the laser shoots at its coldest setting to make me feel more comfortable. I felt no paint at all with the numbing cream! it just felt like a little pressure being applied but besides that it was a really great experience. Dr. Nguyen really knows how to make her customers comfortable and the laser does really work! Its been 1 week since my laser hair removal and I’ve noticed a dramatic change in my facial hair, its thinner, growing slowly and very sparingly. I have two more treatments that I’m really looking forward too.
If you need a really good, affordable, and knowledgeable doctor to do laser treatment on you, seek out Dr. Nguyen and you won’t regret it!

I’ve been to this office a few times during this past year and each time, I was thoroughly impressed and appreciative of Dr. Nguyen’s care. I appreciate Dr Nguyen taking her time to explain everything to me and writing down the treatment plan on paper. She is knowledgeable and has good patient rapport. I felt at ease with her. Basically since I lost my virginity, I’ve dreamt of how nice it would be to have a vagina as bare as a baby’s butt. Well I’m finally in my way to a porn star status vag because I’m doing a full Brazilian laser treatment here!
She’s accommodating, informative, funny, and the price can’t be beat anywhere else.
I plan on having every inch of this chocolate body’s unnecessary hair removed permanently!

Dr. Linhkieu Nguyen is great. Very thorough and takes her time to explain things. However the wait time is horrible. Even with an appointment expect to wait roughly an hour or more.
The receptionist named «Remi» is pretty rude and impatient. Poor customer service on her part which makes the experience unfriendly.

Great experience when it comes to Groupon for laser treatment and that’s how I met Dr. Nguyen. She is not like other doctors where all they want is your money and not really your well being. Dr. Nguyen cares a lot about what she does and her patients and a great doctor. I decided to have her as a family doctor and tried taking my kids there for their check ups. Unfortunately the receptionist doesn’t know what she is doing. First she said our insurance covered everything, then i filled out bunch of paperwork, got my kids records forwarded, made appointment a month in advance, took half a day of from work, picked up my kids from school early and then when I arrived at the office, the same receptionist told me our insurance didnt cover their services. REALLY!!! what a waste of time! I still recommend Dr. Nguyen but watch out the receptionist and make sure your appointments are confirmed and everything is taking care of before you show up there.

One of the best things i’ve ever bought was a Groupon for laser hair removal from Dr. Linhkieu! I was sick of shaving my underarms so I switched to waxing for a few years but letting it grow long enough to wax was annoying. I’ve only had 2 sessions with Dr. Linhkieu and my underarm hair is damn-​near completely gone!!! She’s so friendly, not to mention gentle. What I love most about her is that she really wants whats best for your results. She doesn’t compromise the power of the machine just so you can keep coming back. Raeana, her assistant is so accommodating and even texts me the day before to remind me of my appointment.

Went for annual checkup for preventive care with my wife in April 2014 (which supposed to be free for our insurance). I admit the doctor was very nice and knowledgeable. 2 – 3 weeks after, we started seeing a medical bill from the test lab SHARP memorial because of our blood samples and urine samples are being sent out to that lab. My wife has been trying to contact the billing dept at Sharp due to the medical code which was entered incorrectly. Long story short, my wife has been calling the doctor, sharp billing dept due to this medical billing errors for 5 months and finally they shipped it over to debt collection agency. I do not know who entered the wrong medical billing code, but i do know that we have been trying to talk to the doctor, the medical records, and the billing the department at SHARP to resolve this issue. Now this matter has been shipped over to debt collection agency and could affect my wife and i credit score. We do not mind to pay the amount of stuff we owe but it should be charged to our insurance because that is why we got health insurance in the first place. So for the conclusion, I will stay away from anybody who affiliate with Sharp healthcare and its hospital unless you want to go to the same hell we’ve been through dealing with the jerks from the debt collection agencies, and ignorant people from sharp billing, and medical records. Be my guest.

I bought a groupon for laser hair removal, I am now in my second visit. Since the first time my upper lip hair has dramatically diminished and hardly grew. I got my second treatment done today so I am hoping for great results. Third appointment in 6 weeks told not to pluck let hair grow so by third appointment it can get the follicles that were not targeted this time.
The doctor is very knowledgeable and friendly, answers all my questions. Thinking about getting my armpits done when I finish with my face.

Went back to Dr. Nguyen to have a skin issue looked at — things have improved a lot at the clinic, for sure. More organized, my wait period was relatively short and the customer service is vastly improved. Never any issues with Dr. Nguyen — she’s very professional and helpful, I like the fact that she’s proactive about health maintenance, establishing and reinforcing good eating and exercise habits and looking to some herbal alternatives to medication for the long term. I wish more docs were like her!

Dr. Nguyen has been my doctor for almost 3 years now. She is also my childrens doctor. I have never had a bad experience at her office. She is very knowledgeable, as well as all of her staff. She is always only a phone call away after hours, and during business hours it’s as simple as calling in, and you will get in and get seen. I love that she isn’t all about medication. She has some amazing home remedies that really work. She is very caring, and not one of those Doctor’s with their hand on the door. She listens to everything you have to say, actually process’s it, and helps as best she can. The nurse practitioners, nurse’s and everyone else in the office are very kind! We will be keeping her as a doctor, unless we get stationed somewhere else!
