Lincare

Horrible. Incompetent back office people. Spent months trying to get a hospital bed. Totally un cooperative. My doctor has banned them from his office. We went to another vendor and got a bed the next day! Don’t bother with these people.

Unprofessional, inefficient service. Travel order for oxygen placed with San Diego Lincare two weeks in advance, as Lincare had requested. Arrived at our destination but Lincare office had no record of oxygen order. We had to rely on oxygen we had brought from home and hoped it would last until we received order from San Diego Lincare. SEVERAL phone calls later, and TWO days into our trip, Lincare arrived with oxygen, not the equipment we had requested, and barely enough to get back home. Needless to say, our trip was limited waiting for oxygen delivery. No explanation, apology or apparent concern from San Diego Lincare.

Unethical. Unprofessional. Dishonest. Poorly trained. Puts profit before safety. Irresponsible. Unreliable.
I am a registered nurse (critical care) and former risk manager. Don’t use this company. They have a F rating from the Better Business Bureau, Their own employees have the same things to say (see
); and they were fined 10 million dollars by the federal government for unethical behavior.
Please spread the word. Respiratory care is too important to trust to this sleazy company.

*I’m not a patient, my dad is*
My dad was getting his oxygen from another company and was switched to Lincare. My mom and I went down to the house to check on him as he was expecting the delivery at 3. He was out running some errands and let us know to expect the delivery and if they got there before my dad, to let them know he was on his way. The driver, Ramon, got there at 2:56. Very prompt! We all know how that goes, someone says they’ll be there at 3, it really means 5 or 6 (i.e SDGE, Cox, the plumber, furniture delivery.). Ramon started to unload the oxygen and all required accessories while waiting for my dad and chatted it up with my mom and I.
Once my dad got home, Ramon thoroughly explained everything to my him. Even though my dad has been on oxygen through another company, Ramon explained everything like my dad had never used it before. That was cool because he wanted to make sure my dad had absolutely no questions. My mom worked for a medical supply company for
over 20 years so they all talked the stuff over while I sat there like a bump on a log, eyes glazed over lost amongst all the ‘old people’ talk. My dad had a super hard plastic nasal cannula and had it for over 3 months (they’re supposed to be changed every 3 weeks to a month) and the last company never gave him more. Ramon informed my dad about how long they’re good for and gave him some super soft plastic ones that don’t irritate my dads nose.
If yesterday was any indication as to how this relationship will go between Lincare and my dad, my dad said he’ll be a happy camper and will be breathing a lot easier!

This place just can’t get it right no matter how hard you try with them. Since they are keen on showing up on your front door step without an appointment I made an appointment for them to pick up the oxygen tank that my significant other needs to send back.
I made the appointment Thursday after Labor day. So when they repeated the time and day over the phone they kept saying «Wednesday» or «Monday?» No, it’s Thursday remember? Monday is Labor day. So I had this eerie feeling that they wouldn’t show up on the time that the appointment was for. Sure enough they come to my door hours earlier and bang the hell out of it when I’m asleep (and I’d just fallen back to sleep). I jump up off the couch and my heart is beating a million miles an hour. I fly to the door and I have no bra on and I’m in lingerie of all things. At least the lingerie wasn’t revealing and I was covered at least. My hair is a rats nest and with my eyes half closed I chime in «You’re early» and he just replies «Yeah» and chuckles. This isn’t funny in the least.
Anyway these people are clueless as always.
