We were in the area and saw this place, so we stopped by. There’s a great 10% off coupon for checking in on Unilocal too!
This place is HUGE on the inside. They had a ton of 50% post-​Christmas deals and calendar deals. Loved the big section of books, CDs, dvds, and supplies inside. We couldn’t buy much because we didn’t have much luggage space but if we lived closer, this would be a fun place to browse and get books, CDs and gifts.

This is a really nice store they have an incredible amount of books and it’s large. I think though it’s really tough for them to compete with Amazon, and
prices that are on books are just much more, than the prices we can get online. They have a really nice section where they have wall art, and décor too. It’s great.

I really like this bookstore! It’s way bigger and less cluttered than the Family Christian stores that I’ve been to in San Diego.
The staff here is nice and there are lot of really cute things that you can get for your home.
The parking lot is pretty big and so you will never have trouble finding a parking spot.
I highly recommend you stop by if you’re looking for some Christian books or even gifts! I’m getting married soon and saw some cute «Mr and Mrs.» things that I might get for myself the next time I am here.

I’ve been coming here for years, since it was Berean. I haven’t seen a dramatic difference since the switch, so that’s cool. The place is so huge, clean and serene here. Walk in, take a deep breath, and la, la, la, la, la… enjoy your stroll through Lifeway Park.
As far as selection and convenience goes, they probably have exactly what you’ve been looking for (which is nice), but it’s probably pretty pricey. It’s quite easy to rack up a high bill here, and quite easy to justify it haha. Use wisdom! I rarely buy here without a coupon. If you’re not coming on a whim, search around for one. They’ll likely give you one for future use, after you buy too.
There’s not many Christian book stores out there, so they’re kind of the headquarters and people (me too) are often willing to pay more because, well, where else are you gonna get it?
They’re great for last minute gifts because they have ready to give bags and such that come with tissue paper already in them.
If you have the time and patience to browse online (on Amazon
etc.) you can probably score a better deal.
The staff has always been kind and friendly, as they should be. It’s a nice store that’s really easy to lose track of time in. They have a seating area in the center where you can sit and test drive the book you’re thinking about getting.
My only gripe is the bathroom is gross.

Um, can I say Christian store heaven???
Don’t get me wrong, I love book stores already, but combine it with Jesus and you get the perfect combooo.
This is like the one-​stop all go-​to Christian bookstore. They also have really good deals if you keep an eye out and sign up for their email listings. My friend and I got letter sets that were buy one get one free and that was awesome.
I ended up spending too long in there with a friend just exploring the place. They have pretty much everything when it comes to Christian things: mugs, movies, music albums, jewelry, puppets for VBS, etc. Their books are categorized neatly too which helps finding what you want.
The store is also relatively empty with very few workers. Very quiet.

They wouldn’t let me use my Unilocal Check-​in for the discount! And most of the items here are expensive, but good quality. I did spend most of my time wandering around trying to pick out a great gift, but nothing was really in my price range. We ended up buying a $ 48 pillow… wow. I mean I knew she’d LOVE the gift — but that was pricey! If my Unilocal Check-​In was valid, I think I’d complain less

I used to go here as a child when it was Berean Christian Stores. I loved it then, and I love it now. They have a huge selection of books for all ages and for different things (devotional, inspirational, etc). Their house décor is lovely and charming and they have a ton of things that can be given as gifts.

This was a top-​rate Christian book and gift store when it was Berean but under this ownership, the store has limited its offering of books across all acceptable Christian spectra. For example, there’s no Charismatic Interest section anymore which, frankly, cuts my interest in their other selections significantly. I can buy Max Lucado and most Evangelical authors’ books at Barnes & Noble,
and other secular outlets. Also, I can get a Bible engraved in 10 to 15 minutes at the Family Christian Store while one has to wait for a couple of days at Lifeway. Restricting a line of popular Christian literature based on the store’s religious bias and not being competitive in after-​sale services is a sure way to lose business and eventually shutter the store. And it won’t be the Internet’s fault, either,

I love this store! The thing that really keeps me coming back is the excellent staff. Everyone is so friendly and eager to help! I feel like they treat me like family!
They do have a lot of generic, hallmarky gifts in the front that seem kind of cheap, but the selection of christian books can’t be beat! And there are some good finds in the clothing and toy sections too. If you’re looking for something with a christian theme on it, they probably have it here. Great place to go for gifts for any occasion.

There is a wide selection of Christian and inspirational items. I can easily spend hours just browsing and feeling very spiritual! The staff is super friendly too!

I’m far from being an expert on Christian gift stores, but I live very close to this store and when my BF needed to get an Easter gift for his goddaughter, I suggested we check this place out. It’s HUGE! It has a lot of Hallmark-​y generic gifty stuff, but it also has a great selection of Christian books, toys, etc. Very cool. I’d never seen so many children’s illustrated Bibles and they were all really cute and very cool. Great for gifts! We ended up getting a super tiny crystal cross necklace for his goddaughter; perfect for a little girl and something she can wear for a long time.
The staff is very helpful and nice. I can see why this store has such great reviews.

LOVE this store! There aren’t a ton of Christian stores in San Diego, but this one is by far my favorite. Awesome selection of t-​shirts, movies, music, and more! They have a great clearance section with all kinds of good deals. I purchased a beautiful cross trinket for half off. The store is nicely organized and very clean. Staff is super friendly! I can’t wait to go back.

If you are looking for Christian books this is the place to come. I am a bit disappointed they didn’t have any Joyce Meyer devotionals, but overall a really good selection of books and the most recent best sellers.

Excellent bookstore. Whomever does the hiring knows his/​her job well because they’re hiring knowlegable people who are eager to serve the public well. Everyone (I mean EVERYONE) is friendly and eager to help you out.
Continue the great work… and spreading The Word.

This place is ginormous! I love the huge selection of books, bible study materials, children’s section, music and an assortment of gifts. The staff is always incredibly helpful and very friendly. They have some great sales going on year round so make sure to get on their mailing list to score some discounts!

Wow!!! This place is HUGE!!! Music, DVDs, books, Bibles, Bible studies, kid’s and teen’s area, wall art, jewelry, and clothing. Great customer service. Ample free parking. I easily spent an hour and a half just looking around.
*The music area has a headphone system that lets you listen to tracks before you buy. Love this!!! Discovered a few new artists while I was there. Normal prices on CDs are a bit high, but sales are great.
*Book section is large and well organized. Almost overwhelming selection of Bibles to choose from.
*Impressed with their line of active wear. Great running tanks, tights, and sweats. Bought a great heavy weight sweatshirt and LOVE it!
** Note if you coming via 805S to 163S using Google directions, there is no Clairemont Mesa Blvd exit access on the I-​163S. You will need to go north one exit.

I absolutely love this store. They have a great selection of anything you could possibly want and the atmosphere is calming and relaxing. I love that they have a prayer board in the back and chairs to sit around and browse books.

COOL STUF:

I don’t think there’s any other Christian shops in San Diego, except for the one out in Parkway Plaza. This place usually serves all my gift buying needs for my Christian folks.
Only thing is that I wish they had more purity rings and accessories in stock.
