So much for to our nervous system than I ever knew. This place has really helped with my overall health and they are very friendly and nice to work with.

Omg how do they not have any reviews yet? Ive been having sciatic pain and after going go the doctors and other chiropractors, these guys right here have made me feel as though my body is getting better in the right path. Thanks again for making me hopeful!

This is a place full of real life superheros. Rosie handles business up front like Bette Davis handles acting. Dr. Mary is like the mom every kid dreams of having. Dr. Ron’s the man. Nuff said. Dr. Matt and Dr. Lauren have their own practice in the same building and they handle it like champs. Dean has been a great addition to the family as well. Their work has changed me for the best and I’d suggest them to anyone who’s unsure about chiropractic but has chronic pain that nothing seems to help with. Or ya know, anyone and everyone really.

Love coming here. My health has improved a lot. My body is starting to function like it is supposed to. The doctors are the best.

My wife and I always look forward to our appointments. We’ve been coming here for almost two years. The staff are wonderful and are always willing to squeeze us in if our schedule changes. We also love the family atmosphere and how bright and cheery the office is.

The doctors at life chiropractic are THE BEST! They go above and beyond for their patients with every visit. I would never recommend another chiropractor to anyone. They even offer short tutorials after hours to reach people exercises that they can do at home for free! Try them out, you won’t be disappointed.

I had a great experience working getting an evaluation with these guys. Dr. Matt and Dr. Lauren were both a pleasure to work with and they explained a lot to me about what was going on with my back, neck, and nervous system. I’m looking forward to going back when I get a chance!

You are going to love it here. Chiropractic is not just for neck pain, back pain or headaches — it helps your WHOLE body work the way it’s supposed to! I started using Chiropractic for stomach issues and I noticed my overall health improve!
What to expect on your first visit: The office is hard to find! From the outside, it looks really small and I was lost my first time. Look for the Dentist sign — it’s right next door. Rosie is the first person you’ll meet — she is so sweet! You get to see the whole office and meet a lot of the staff on your first visit, which is awesome, because you will quickly feel like part of the family! There’s a play area for young kids; many who get adjusted, too! You really can wear whatever you want, but I suggest athletic clothes since the first exam is pretty thorough. They check your nervous system and whole body; a (painless) scan on your back, heart, lungs, posture, balance, and other tests that are specific to your nervous system. They also have an x-​rays available at the office if the Doctor recommends them for you.
What’s cool about this office is that they really take the time to explain to you how all the tests work together so you know where your health really is whether or not you have symptoms! They make sure to answer all your questions: if they can help you, how long it will take, and how much it’ll cost.
Cost: Before any treatment or exams, you are told what the price will be for you — there are never any surprises! Rosie will even check on your insurance, which is awesome, because if you are like me, understanding coverage can be confusing. If you don’t have insurance, no big deal — most people pay cash anyway! There are cash plans available so that it’s less expensive per visit. And all transactions and plans are written down, so, again, there are no surprises!
The adjustments: Let the Chiropractor know if you are nervous! Depending on your exam, x-​rays, needs, and comfort level, your adjustment is adapted for YOU. There are gentle ways of adjusting — you’ll hardly feel it happening! Though, I myself love a good old fashion aggressive adjustment :)
I highly recommend Life Chiropractic. Dr. Ron and Dr. Mary are passionate about helping your body work and feel it’s best. Plus, they are well-​connected in the community: they helped me so much when I moved here; even totally unrelated things like helping me with car issues! This is a great Chiropractic office!

Life Chiropractic Center is located in a shopping center in the Clairemont area of San Diego. The waiting room is bright, spacious, and very family-​friendly. The staff is very cordial upon entering the office, and always provides excellent customer service.
The doctors that work here are very professional and communicate and discuss everything very clearly up front. Not only have they helped me with my health concerns, but they do so with lots of passion and genuine care. I always recommend friends or family in SD to Life Chiropractic Center if they are interested in receiving the best chiropractic care!

Life Chiropractic Center in the Clairemont area of San Diego is amazing! I have known the husband and wife chiropractors Dr. Ron Oberstein and Dr. Mary Oberstein for most of my life and I can tell you that these are the kind of doctors who have a passion for helping people get well and deliver their gentle healing care with love. If you have a spine and nerve system that needs some care, you will be very happy here.

I got a great deal on a promotion that was going on during the SD fair that included: a consultation, x-​rays, an a sneak preview on an adjustment. Being a first timer, I was feeling a little shy at first, really didn’t know what to expect. I was introduced to Dr. Ron and he was a very nice man. He made me feel comfortable and made sure that I was educated on what the practice was all about. It was all new to me and I’ve learned a lot thanks to him.
I’m really bad with names… But the assistant took x-​rays and some information about me and asked questions about any pain that I’ve had or anything that I feel needs to be noted. She was super nice and I had some great conversations with her. Shortly we did some test that were suppose to represent my balance, structure, posture, and movement. It was fun to do.
I went back a second time to see the results. I was informed that it would be a good idea to come back and get adjusted because I have a slight curve on my spine and my neck can use some touching up. Because I’m going to school and currently not working, I wouldn’t be able to pay the monthly payments to come back to get adjusted (quite expensive). I enjoyed my visit here, but I don’t think I can spend that much… If I do have extra money to splurge on (or even treat myself) I would come back here for sure!

I had an appointment today with one of the massage therapists. My car broke down on the way there and I didn’t have their number to call to say I wouldn’t make it. A few hours later I found a nasty condescending message on my voicemail about missing the appointment and basically saying that I shouldn’t come back via the passive aggressive guilt trip language. Wow! I’m glad I missed my appointment! I won’t be rescheduling!

I have to be honest… I have been holding out on making a review of this business (we started in July) but the time has come… Let me start off by telling you what a big skeptic I am or was! My husband, mom, and daughter have all been under Chiropractic care but I was not interested. I finally gave in and I am happy that I did.
The staff here is amazing! You walk in and you are greeted by Rosie, if you are having a bad day her amazing attitude will turn it right around! Dr Mary is a joy to talk to, she is the kind of person that looks at you when you are talking and acts like talking to you is all she has to do in her day. Dr Ron is a sweet man and my (almost) 2 yr old daughter has no problem being adjusted by him. Jodi is so sweet as is Dr Paul. The entire staff is military and family friendly. I love everyone here!
If you are in the San Diego area and are interested in Chiropractic care this is the place to be.
PS…If you are thinking, «Why should I listen to her, this is her first experience?»…My mom is 68 and has been under Chiropractic care for 33 years. She says that this is the best care that she has ever received. My husband has been adjusted since he was a baby and he also feels that Dr. Ron is the best! AND my 23 month old daughter climbs up on the table by herself to be adjusted, they must be doing something right ;)

Geez where to start. These guys specialize in making you think you’re part of the family. They do this so that you don’t question whats going on. Meanwhile they do everything in their power to steal from you. They blew me off for 4 months while they promised my monthly fees would be adjusted because they were also charging my insurance. They had no intention of adjusting anything. I was also in a car accident and even though they had received thousands from my insurance and monthly payments. These greedy sharks still wanted a third of my pay out from the accident. I’ve lost all trust in Chiropractic because of them. If you’re going to waste your money on this magic medicine then do so elsewhere. I promise I’d be saving you a lot of trouble.

Wow, where do I start! Life chiropractic is life changing! And im not kidding. In my case I have pretty severe scoliosis with lots of pain. So I have seen may chiropractors. But everything changed when I saw the Drs. They put me on my own «path to healing» and make treatments custom for me. Ron and Mary are outstanding Drs. They are well educated in both chiropractic and holistic approaches to health. I have been with them over a year now and Im feeling better than ever, I can walk! The office is nice and the staff is awesome. Rosie and Ashley have great customer service. Even the patients they see are great! They offer FREE exams and even have text message appointment reminders! How awesome is that? I highly recommend going here and also get a massage by Bonnie! She’s the best masseuse in the world!!!

I think that all of the people who gave good reviews of this place have no idea what they are talking about… I would call them sheep (or they are in cahoots with the business), because this place is horrible… TERRIBLE.
I found this place on google earth after I was in a car accident. It looked nice enough, and I had never gone to a chiro before, so what did I know. I went into the whole experience expecting/​hoping I could trust them, wrong. The first day wasn’t bad… initial testing, x-​rays, etc…
I was there because of an accident, and they knew that, and they also knew that insurance was going to cover me. I could feel the whole time that all they saw was money signs. Very conveniently, they told me that they would just send all the bills and such to my insurance for them to deal with… simple stuff, but I never saw the bills. That first visit/​day was over $ 500. I stood on a balance board and they took x-​rays.
The pressure at this place is unreal. They want (practically make) you to watch stupid videos that are geared towards selling you more chiropractic care. They made me (and a group) sit through some silly presentation/​demonstration about the importance of chiropractic care and stretches (which was okay, but I could have learned that on google). Sure, I could have left, but this guy is cracking my back and neck… you don’t piss those people off, right? It was all just sales techniques… over and over… with a high pressure feel.
My feeling was this… I am in pain, my insurance will cover X amount of care… as long as everything is covered, I am cool with their treatment plan. I knew that my insurance only covered certain things, so I wanted to know what wasn’t covered. Unfortunately, they only would tell me one thing that wasn’t covered (neuromuscular re-education…what this means, I have no idea). I had a conversation with Ron (chiropractors aren’t doctors) about this, and that I knew this wan’t covered, so stay away from that. He acted like he had never heard of it, so I figured I was in the clear… he makes you feel so nice/​comfortable when you are in his presence. I still never felt quite right around him… always something off, but he is the smooth talker type. Of course, when my insurance sent me the bills from Life, guess how many charges there were for neuromuscular reeducation? At least 6, maybe 8. I don’t even know what this is, let alone remember doing anything I wasn’t familiar with… what are they charging me for?
I remember sitting int he waiting room one day, and this gentleman came in and talked with the receptionist (who I did like). She asked him why his wife wasn’t there, and I’ll never forget his answer. He said, «she doesn’t want to come in anymore. she says there is too much pressure to get more work done and she was done with it… and too scared to come in and „quit“ in person».
They offered massages for a certain price, and when you make an appointment, they signed me up for a half hour, so I figured the price was the 30 min price… wrong…it was the 15 min price.
When I was getting real tired of all of the shenanigans, and was fed up with my negative emotions towards the place I told the receptionist that I was done with treatment. I must have gone through this a couple time. It was like a joke for them… she said, «did you talk to „Dr.“ Ron about this, snicker?» Knowing full well that if I did, that he would sure as shit talk me out of quitting.
I felt caught in a never ending loop of unhealth… always needing more done… never being able to leave. It really sucked. Sure, I should have been more hands on… and I would suggest anyone who goes here to really stay on them about knowing what they are doing and how much it will cost, because I didn’t and they screwed me. Now, I am in a battle with my insurance about the rest of the bill.
They turned me off to chiropractors so much that I don’t think I’ll ever go back to one again. It added so much stress to the whole accident situation, that it just wasn’t worth it.
The thing is, people worry about their health, and these people use that to sell you more treatment than you need and keep you around as long as possible. Terrible people if you ask me… with pretty «faces».
I went into this whole experience expecting something nice, and they scarred me for life.

Dr’s Ron and Mary are the best, not so sure about the first review on here, but my experience has been completely different. I have been going to them for the last month and I have never felt better, they have such passion and love for their patients and the profession. They have a very loyal client base and most of their patients are from referrals as was mine. Great place, great doctors, and great staff! I highly recommend Life Chiropractic Center.

This chiropractic office is a shame. They are money hungry monsters and do not care for the good of their patients, but for the good of their finances. They put on a friendly front, but do not be fooled. I had a free exam, given to me by a patient of theirs, in July and then when I did not continue with their services they sent me a bill for the exam claiming it was not free. They then threatened to send the bill to collections, blackmailing me and forcing me to pay them. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place.
