I forgot to bring sandals to a recent weekend trip to San Diego, which was pretty silly admittedly. Luckily, we were staying in a beach town, so there were plenty of stores offering sandals and beachware. I went into a few, but surprisingly, none of these carried Havaianas, which I like for their simple style and fit. Instead, these merchants tried to explain that a Havaianas were out of fashion and proceeded to attempt to upsell me on $ 70+ sandals. C’mon! I’m not buying Air Jordan’s here! I’m buying temporary flip flops because I forgot my main pair at home! Besides, Havaianas are timeless classics! Serendipitously, came across«La Sandale World of Sandals». As their name would suggest, they had a great selection. I found a few varietals of Havaianas — exactly what I was looking for. The proprietor, in a no-hassle type way, helped me find a size, color, and helped check me out of the store. We had a good conversation, including him starting that he had been in business there for 35+ years. It certainly shows in the way he treated me as a customer. Solid experience.

No! NOT a bad place. These people have been taking excellent care of me for at least 15 years now. They have excellent quality, reasonable prices, and what I especially appreciate, a well-made, plain black flip flop with good arch support and no extra b.s. You have any idea how difficult is it to find simple, well-made stuff not designed for the whims of fashion victims? No idea what pissed-off the one-star reviewer, which doesn’t help anybody or anything. Methinks it was a personal problem.
