La Pacifica RV Resort

Absolute shit hole. if you like downtown Tijuana, you’ll love it here. Rules are NEVER complied to, showers and restrooms are disgusting, pool and, «clubhouse», are overrun with teenagers. High crime area with lots of theft, prostitution, and drug dealers. Most of the residents seem to be illegal aliens, and hate white people. The management even calls the north side of the park, «Little T. J». It’s located RIGHT IN BETWEEN A BUSY STREET AND THE I-​5 FREEWAY, so the street noise is wonderful! Homeless persons often get the bathroom code, so there’s that, and the cable doesn’t work. Oh, and on hot days, the stench of the Tijuana River sewage treatment plant is refreshing. Beach is 6 miles away, btw. If you have the option of staying here, (even for free), or staying in a Walmart parking lot, stay at Walmart, you’re better off.

Called and left two messages and NEVER called me back. I also emailed them twice and again never bothered to respond. Poor customer service and business. Good luck getting a call back!

Next to the freeway so it is noisy. Lots of perminate rigs, broken sidewalks, and tight sites. Friendly staff and clean restrooms. Pool and spa were very nice. There are better options in the area and I would suggest you pick one of them.

If you read nothing more than the first line of this review: DO NOT GO HERE. If you’d like to know why, keep reading.
I am taking my time to warn you because NO ONE deserves to stay in a place this horrible. There are actually cheaper places to stay within a comparable distance from downtown so there is really no reason to stay here. This was absolutely the most miserable campground I have ever seen.
The bathroom and showers are horrible. They are only open til 9pm, you will probably have to wait in line, and I hope you have migraine meds back at the RV because you will need them after listening to the children and teenagers screaming at the top of their lungs while you shower. Also, expect to be yelled at by campground staff for using too much hot water, be harassed and stalked by the maintenance men (because they like to know where the «pretty ladies» are), and listen to the staff speak derogatorily of Latinos (when that is their primary clientele).
Be warned that you WILL have ants. Our site was right on an ant hill and since our RV isn’t completely sealed, we couldn’t even have a trash can or food for our animals out in our own RV. I purchased 16 ant traps and two bottles of spray, but nothing worked. I was constantly finding them crawling all over me when I slept. Hope the thought of being covered in ants while you sleep doesn’t creep you out!
If you have a dog, expect for it to be approached by another dog not on its leash… and there’s a pretty good chance you are going to have dog crap from someone else’s dog all over your site.
If you are an avid fan of ice cream trucks, you are in luck because you will receive a visit from one EVERY SINGLE DAY. It will sit outside your RV and serenade you for hours. Every. Day. Lucky you, the driver actually lives at the campground… amongst many screaming children. Every. Day. Christmas carols… in August. Every. Single. Day.
There is absolutely no parking if you want to park your car to do laundry (because sometimes it isn’t easy to carry everything all the way across the park). Also, there is only ONE parking spot available if you want to stop at the front office, so you had better hope it isn’t taken. Oh and good luck parking at your campsite. The tires of our truck would hang off the edge of the site when we were backed right up to the RV. Smallest sites I have ever seen. Ever.
When we first arrived, we were having power surges (due to THEIR faulty 30 amp outlet) that ruined our air conditioner (which will cost about $ 600 – 700 to replace). When I first notified them of the problem, they told me I had to guy buy a 50amp converter! I didn’t because I knew better. Then, when the maintenance guy EVENTUALLY came to fix it (because they knew they lied when they advised me to go buy a converter as the only solution), he fried our plug. Instead of contacting us or replacing it, he left the plug with a note for us to fix it ourselves. Because they didn’t replace it immediately or notify us, we didn’t have electricity for our fridge, ran the battery down on our lights, and our animals didn’t have any way of staying cool until we returned home to find the mess they left.
Don’t even think for one second that they aren’t going to nitpick about stupid things and give you false information then screw you over. The ONLY document they provided me at check-​in clearly stated that the laundry facility is open until 10pm… So I began doing my laundry accordingly. The park employee (manager, I think) came at 9pm and told me I wouldn’t be able to dry my clothes because they close at 9pm, which apparently «we tell everyone,» she said. Well I never talked to them, because we didn’t check-​in at the office since we arrived at 11pm at night and were just given a sheet of (obviously incorrect) information. Why wouldn’t I trust the information THEY gave me? All she said was «I apologize» (after I brought the paper back to show her THEIR error) and left me with a basket of wet laundry… Oh, and I couldn’t even hang it out to dry because according to the rules «no clotheslines, tarps, hammocks, canopies, are allowed.» Genius.
Apparently you can’t have ANY personal possessions outside your RV. They will force you to purchase an entire storage shed… even though their list of rules says «storage sheds are strictly prohibited.» I’m not even kidding. Let’s just say these people aren’t the sharpest tools in the shed, to say the least.
Not ONCE did they ever offer to make anything right. They only continued to be rude and entitled. This place needs to get it together, but I’m doubtful they ever will with their ignorant attitude. If you decide to stay at La Pacifica in spite of reading this review… just… GOOD LUCK!
